Hi, I'm Harrison, a very loving and sweet Lab mix. I was found as a stray and have made it to SCP to help me find my forever home. I love my people and want to stay close to them. My favorite thing is being petted and having lots of snuggles on the couch. At the home of the person who found me, I was with cats in that home, but they weren't very happy with a new dog living in their home, so it probably is dependent on the cat. I am presently living with multiple other dogs and get along with them, but I can be pretty defensive (barks and snappy) on first meeting a new dog. A few minutes of walking around and sitting quietly near one another makes everything OK, but first introduction has to be managed. I can be an escape artist so I will need a securely fenced yard, a 6-7 foot fence and a gate that I can't open. I'm house trained and have free roam on the house. I do eat in my crate and will sometimes go into it to chill but pretty much I just want to be near my people or in my favorite chair. No kids at my foster home but I've been friendly with all the kids I've met so far. I'm pretty good on a leash, but will pull if I get distracted by a squirrel or other critter. My dream home would be with an active family who will take me on long walks or hikes, but when not out getting exercise, I'm happy just being part of the family either with or without another doggie friend. My foster says I'm such a good boy, my new family will be very lucky to have me as part of the family. If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.
