Story
A family friend had to move states and asked us for help rehoming their dog, we don’t know much about him but have had no luck and it’s been about 7 months, he needs to find a home that is loving and will be with him, he’s very sweet and loves attention. Blu is young but we don’t know anything about him but his name. This is urgent as my dogs (2 other big dogs) have been picking on him and attacking him since he’s a new male I think, I believe he’d do better as a lone pet with no other animals unless those animals are good with other dogs. And I’m worried about blu getting hurt, he has only ever been territorial over bones as most dogs are, but hasn’t shown aggression.

Story
Milo is around 2 yrs old. I adopted him from a shelter, at the time I was working overnights so I had more time. I currently work two jobs and am having to move soon. Milo is an adorable and energetic pup who deserves the world! He’s got ample energy and loves to play fetch. He’s still got a little puppy in him and he likes to chew. Before the shelter he was found abandon in an apartment complex. He is wary of adults especially men. However my experience is he’s all bark and no bite, I’ve never had any aggressive issues with him. He is a very good boy who needs more attention and time than I can give him.

Story
Hi, I'm Banjo a fun loving active young Siberian Husky/Lab mix.  I was found as a stray and I'm looking forward to my very own forever family.  I'm presently living with a family and using a crate at night and when my family leaves the house.  I'm a Husky and I love to run and play and if I get out I'm ready to explore the world so I'll need a family with a secure yard and no small children who may leave a door or a gate open for me to get out.  No apartments or town-homes, please.  I'm presently living with dogs and doing fine. My foster says I'm responding quickly to being in a house and a loving environment and enjoying my training.   I love playing in the pool, jumping and retrieving my football out of the pool with my foster's grandkids and the dog from next door.  Maybe we could go to the next level and do some dock diving!!  I also enjoy my walks on a leash so how about a walking or jogging buddy! I'm ready to go when you are!!!! If you are interested in me, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.  Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old.  A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.   November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Introducing.... Clooney! This sweet boy was rescued from a high volume shelter as soon as he was added to the euthanasia list after being there since last October. He is SUPER grateful to be out of there and loves everyone he meets. He is young, born around October 2020 and needs a home willing to continue his training. He is an active Flat Coated Retriever mix male who weighs around 55 pounds. He likes to sit in a lap and give hugs - sometimes it is a little too much:) He gets along well with other dogs. He is potty trained and is quickly learning basic obedience commands. Not recommended for homes with small children at this time since he is still learning not to jump up on people and might accidentally knock them over. If you are interested in him, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Hello! I'm Tucker! I am a big, sweet boy and around a year old. My breed is a little bit of a mystery but maybe I have some Bull Terrier or Hound in me. No matter what my breed is I definitely have some cool colors to my fur! I was found wandering the cold streets but now I'm safe and sound in a loving foster home. I am potty trained, crate trained, and currently working on my manners with my foster dad, I know "Sit"! I am young and large so a home without little kids might be best so that I don't accidentally knock them over. I get along great with other dogs! I am looking for my furever home...maybe you have a spot for me? If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Story
Hi, I'm Harrison, a very loving and sweet Lab mix.  I was found as a stray and have made it to SCP to help me find my forever home.  I love my people and want to stay close to them.  My favorite thing is being petted and having lots of snuggles on the couch.  At the home of the person who found me, I was with cats in that home, but they weren't very happy with a new dog living in their home, so it probably is dependent on the cat.  I am presently living with multiple other dogs and get along with them, but I can be pretty defensive (barks and snappy) on first meeting a new dog. A few minutes of walking around and sitting quietly near one another makes everything OK, but first introduction has to be managed. I can be an escape artist so I will need a securely fenced yard, a 6-7 foot fence and a gate that I can't open.  I'm house trained and have free roam on the house.  I do eat in my crate and will sometimes go into it to chill but pretty much I just want to be near my people or in my favorite chair.  No kids at my foster home but I've been friendly with all the kids I've met so far.  I'm pretty good on a leash, but will pull if I get distracted by a squirrel or other critter.  My dream home would be with an active family who will take me on long walks or hikes, but when not out getting exercise, I'm happy just being part of the family either with or without another doggie friend.  My foster says I'm such a good boy, my new family will be very lucky to have me as part of the family. If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review!
