Story
I have this amazing girl who is fantastic with children and other animals and needs a new home where she can truly thrive. I work 12 hr night shifts and unfortunately, when I am home, I am too tired to provide her with the energetic lifestyle she deserves. She was my son’s dog and he went on to serve our country in the army and is now stationed in Germany. And although I did my best to keep her, she deserves an environment that can offer her the vibrant life she was meant to live.

Knut

Labrador Retriever Hound (Unknown Type)

Male, 2 yrs 9 mos
Dallas, TX
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Knut came to us at 3 weeks during a winter storm old and was one of the biggest babies we had seen. That is why we named him after a famous polar bear cub. We are unsure of his breed, and as he gets bigger our guesses keep changing. We do think he has some hound in him due to his elongated snout. He is now 9 months old and weighs 60 lbs. He is neutered, microchiped, and has had 3 rounds of vaccines. We expect him to be quite a large dog fully grown, possibly over 80lbs. However, Knut is a gentle giant. He is very sweet and passive and loves to play with the other dogs. But his favorite thing to do is eat. He is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. He is ready for his forever home and a family that wants a big dog with a big heart.

Sake

Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)

Female, 1 yr
Dallas, TX
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sake is a special needs dog. She has Megasophogus. This is a condition in which her esophagus is enlarged making it hard for her to swallow. Typically dogs with this condition need ina Bailey chair upright. However we are lucky in that Sake can eat wet food in a raised feeder and she can drink water off the floor. We do have a Bailey chair (seen in her photos) that we will donate to her adopter, however Sake has only used it a few times. She has very manageable and mild symptoms and she rarely regurgitates. However it is something that her owners will need to be aware of and regulate, because improper feeding could leave to aspiration which could be deadly. But she is a happy and healthy puppy otherwise. She is very active and playful and loves other dogs. We are unsure her breed, but she is a terrier mix. She is spayed, microchiped and vaccinated. She was born 12/2024.

Story
Jasper came to us after his owner suddenly passed away. Jasper is 10 years old and weighs 20lbs. Fully vetted. Jasper is a Dachshund mix. He is neutered, microchiped, and vaccinated. He is incredibly loving and affectionate. He is a shadow that will follow you around. He loves to be outdoors. He does not like to be crated, but we are working on it. He does have separation anxiety, and would do best with someone that is retired or works from home. He is a wire haired dachshund mix but he recently got a haircut which now highlights his unique coat. He is a chocolate brown everywhere except his neck which is a lighter and reddish brown.

He underwent procedures and is now healthy and heartworm negative.
