Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Trotter was found roaming the streets. After three weeks, he was caught. He is deaf with a Merle eye, meaning that he has limited vision. He's walks on a leash really well. He has beautiful eyes and is a very sweet guy who seems to prefer women. Trotter is very affectionate with his person/people and loves to show his belly for rubs. This handsome guy is animal friendly with both cats and dogs; however, due to his limited vision, Trotter prefers gentle playmates that won't be up in his face. Trotter is working on following commands and is getting the hang of taps and sign commands; he is so eager to please. While Trotter is almost completely deaf and has limited vision, don't let that fool you! He gets around with no issue and loves to play and cuddle. This gorgeous hunk is currently in Arizona City, and we are happy to meet anywhere for interested parties. Adoption fee is $150Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
Meet Petey! Petey is a vey loving and handsome Lab mix that was found as a stray. He is looking to bond and be someone's best friend! He has already become very attached to his foster mom and is stressed when she leaves him. He loves to hug and be snuggled with. Petey is high energy but one of those types that needs a quick burst of running and then is happy to settle down and chew on a toy beside his human BFF. He was clearly loved by someone and loves people. He would do well as a hiking buddy or even with agility. He would be best suited for a family or owner that can be home with him much of the time as he is adept at climbing a fence if left in a yard to hang out alone too long! Petey is about 1-2 years old, 60 pounds and heartworm negative. He has been neutered and micro chipped now. Petey is crate trained and house broken! From his foster mom: Petey, full of puppy-love at 60 pounds, is a highly athletic, energetic, water-loving, big-ole best friend kind o’ Boxer/Labrador boy. At two years old, he runs like the wind and leaps into the truck-bed in a single bound for treks around the farm fields. He has come a long way from being totally overwhelmed with separation anxiety - aftermath of being dumped and left in freezing weather totally alone. He has turned out to be a companion animal in every way. He is at perfect peace and happiness just being with his people and fellow-animal friends, including cats (with proper introduction). Once he enters the house, he settles quickly and rests at his person’s feet. This snuggle-bunny thinks all kids were designed to be his ‘besties’. Other dogs seem to find it difficult to take him seriously when he tries to act big-man dominate and at the same time holding his squeaky ragdoll in his mouth. He really has no idea of his size. When Petey gets to playing to rough, the foster’s 20-pound Chihuahua/Beagle mix can scold him and Petey will put on his best pout and try to be still. This joyfully irresistible, big brown-eyed, sweetheart is highly observant – he works to learn his people. If he thinks he is in trouble or has displeased his person, he becomes anxious and will tear up things if he is ignored or not reassured of being loved. Correct him, but love him. Hug him. Relieve him of any fear. That means the world to him. And, his smile is infectious. Petey is very trainable. He is a quick study and eager to please the people he grows to trust. Toys and a secure extra-large kennel to call his own keep him calm when you are away. Another dog-friend that would be his buddy is a good source of comfort for him. Being alone for extended periods of time will be detrimental to Petey’s psyche. Because Petey is so extraordinarily sociable, he shouldn’t be left alone in a fenced area, unless it has a cover. He will jump/climb over to find you and/or if someone or another animal passes by that surely needs his nonaggressive, let’s-play greeting. Petey is a work in progress and would need someone who truly wants to make him a part of the family. If you have much affection, attention, compassion and patience to offer, along with a desire to have an athletic canine companion, Petey may just be your dream come true. Petey is currently in TN but will be transported north to New England for adoption. The adoption donation is $300 which includes a health certificate and costs for his transport north. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please go to www.angelsamongusanimalrescue.org and fill out an online adoption application. Thank you! *Unless stated otherwise, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, on flea/tick product and heartworm prevention medicine (if older than 5 months) and micro chipped prior to adoption. *Please note that while we do our best to accurately state the breed or breed mix of a dog, we often have very limited information to draw from. Identifying the breed without pedigrees and information on heritage can be very challenging!

Story
Meet Queso! Queso is a sweet and handsome yellow Lab mix. He is about 1 year old and weighs 60 pounds. He was found as a stray at Taco Bell and was rescued by a good samaritan! From his foster mom: Queso is a very goofy dog that loves being around his people and would love to play all the time. He loves cats but he is cautious with new dogs even though he loves the dogs he currently lives with so I think he would adjust to new ones. He loves to play fetch and he loves to run. He needs someone who doesn't mind having a friend that will follow them everywhere in the house. He can jump pretty high so they will need to have a nicely fenced in backyard for when he has to go outside to potty. There's not much he dislikes honestly. He is a pretty easy going dog, although he thinks he is small enough to be a lap dog!!! He is housebroken unless you don't pay attention that he needs to go outside, kennel trained, walks very well on a leash and likes kids but he does like to jump up so he might do best with older kids. He would make the perfect addition to any family and is truly a one of a kind pup. Queso is neutered HW negative, up to date on shots and micro chipped. He had a Proheart shot for heart worm prevention in March 2023 so will not be due for prevention until March 2024! Queso is currently in TN but will be transported north to New England for adoption. The adoption donation is $400 which includes a health certificate and costs for his transport north. Story
Meet Binti! Binti is a beautiful black and white mixed breed female looking for a caring fun home to call her own! She is 2 years old and is 50 pounds. She could be a pit bull/ bat mix as her ears are certainly some of the biggest we have seen! However Bat was not one of the breed choices available! Binti successfully completed HW treatment during her first months with us. She has been in rescue over a year now! She is an alpha dog but does get along with other dogs when out and about. In the home she needs to be the only pet. She doesn't want to share her people! Cats are a hard NO for Binti! Binti is awesome with people and children. She LOVES people. She is crate trained, micro chipped, spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Binti is currently in a boarding facility and would love to find a real home! Binti is currently in TN but will be transported to New England. Her adoption donation is $200 and includes her transport north from TN, her vetting and health certificate.
