This handsome fellow is ready to steal your family’s heart! He’s stolen his foster family’s! Ziggy loves his foster mommy but he adores kids and men most. He just lights up when he hears a man speak or sees kids coming. He’s great with cats! He has been around his fosters’ dogs, but one or the other are always meeting through a crate. The foster family's dogs are a very overwhelming crew. Ziggy always is excited to see them! He likes to eat in his crate alone where no one can rush him. He’s a nice slow eater. He’s still learning to play, but he seems to really love plush toys. He is potty trained and crate trained. He is learning commands, doing well on a leash and is extremely intelligent. He has a particular passion for hunting vermin, like rabbits! Ziggy would do best with a good sized fenced yard. He loves to run and sniff the day away…..searching for those pesky rabbits! She came to the AHHS after being passed around from owner to owner. Frankie's first had owners that were elderly and did not have the time/energy for her. Her second owner was a younger individual, but they worked long work hours and made the decision to surrender her. We had what was seemingly the perfect person come along for her, however, it was later determined that she would do best as the only dog in the home. We are requiring Frankie's adopter to either be experienced with her breed or be willing to do research. She deserves a loving, forever home. An ideal candidate for Frankie would be someone home often, that is active and has no other dogs in the household. She is insanely intelligent, very motivated to learn, and loves to please. She loves to cuddle up with her person(s). He's a puppy that is the perfect mix of playful and calm! He loves to snuggle up under a blanket with his people when he isn't playing his heart out. Cole has done some major confidence-building within the past few weeks and is really beginning to display his wonderful personality. He is a lover of people and animals, he has never met a stranger! He's got a shiny coat making him quite the looker. He is roughly 5 months old and weighs around 25 pounds currently. He'll likely be medium sized when grown! He's working on crate training and is already doing well on a leash. He's a potty training champ and already knows basic commands! Take a look at Ranger! He's a 6 month old Great Dane mix that we took from a crowded shelter in North Carolina. Naturally, we were all swooning for this guy the second we met him. He's just so charming! If it isn't obvious, he's a pretty goofy guy. He is FULL of personality, but is also incredibly smart and is very treat motivated. He knows basic commands. He's friendly with other dogs! He'd do fine with older kids; toddlers he may get a little too excited with and accidentally topple over. He has not been cat tested, though we are happy to do so upon request. Please know that beyond Ranger's beautiful appearance is a puppy that will become a very large adult dog. He will likely require mental stimulation and physical exercise, so do not think you're adopting a couch potato or you'll be sadly mistaken! If you have an active home or plenty of space for Ranger to get outdoors and burn off some energy, don't hesitate to apply!
