If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Say hello to Duke!! He is an approx 3 year old Australian Shepherd that is the sweetest love bug ever! He loves dogs, cats, people, everything! His downfall is he will clear any fence and will come when he wants to. He is trained on invisible fence, however, and is very good with that! He will not escape a fence if you are in the yard with him but he just wants to be with his people so he will escape if left alone. Duke loves to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with a fun furry playmate. He would love an active family that will take him on adventures and let him snuggle with them at the end of the day. He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. My name is Ellie! I'm a sweet, smart and playful girl! I love cuddling, sitting by my person, and doing whatever my person is doing! I also love toys, bones, food, treats, playing, running and fetching! I'm pretty energetic at times and get REALLY excited to see my people when they come home. Sometimes it takes me about 5 minutes to calm down and regulate myself, but I will calm down! Although I am energetic and playful, I am actually really calm most of the time, and I like relaxing. I am potty trained and know some commands like: sit, stay, go, hand, & kiss. I know my name and definitely will come when called (even when on the other side of the house). I learn pretty quickly, as long as you give me a treat and praise. I am looking for a loving family or person who has a lot of time on their hands and wants a really good companion. I need to be in a home with no other dogs and no little kids though because my excitement is difficult to control when the energy in the house is high or I am playing.
