Story
We’d like to introduce you to PEPPERONI, he weighs in at just under 50Lbs, a VERY SPECIAL DOG!!! His story is one of resilience, loyalty, and the kind of love that can only come from a dog who has been through the toughest of times. He and a stray cat ( KitKat ) both abandoned by the family who moved away, bonded and took care of each other in the harsh elements. The situation grew dire, but with the help of a dedicated professional and our rescue team, Pepperoni was finally rescued after six weeks and five days of determined efforts. DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WOULD LIKE A VERY SPECIAL DOG, COMPANION DOG SERVICE DOG or BEST FRIEND? Do a Meet n Greet and you will see how SWEET and SPECIAL PEPPERONI is… We rescued him in hopes that he could join the home of a disabled veteran who had been feeding him and wanted to adopt him, but his life changes prevented this from happening. Now, Pepperoni is patiently waiting for a new chance at love. Pepperoni is a service dog in training, a companion dog, a sweet dog, incredibly smart, and full of potential. He’s calm, chill, and very communicative—loving nothing more than a good car ride, where he can be your faithful travel buddy. He’s looking for a family or individual who can give him the time and attention he deserves—whether that’s a retired person, someone who works from home, or someone looking for a loyal companion going for a ride. Pepperoni gets along well with cats and other dogs. He needs someone patient who understands him and provides the love he’s been missing. We are determined to find the perfect forever home for him—a place where he can love, be loved and Thrive! If you think you might be that special someone or know that special someone, please reach out to us. We’re still interviewing potential adopters and believe that the right home is just around the corner. Thank you for considering giving Pepperoni the love and care he deserves :) DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WANTS A GREAT AND SWEET DOG? PLEASE LET THEM KNOW ABOUT PEPPERONI. HE TRULY DESERVES WONDERFUL LOVING HOME Sincerely, The Dedicated Team at Duffie’s Dames

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.      Meet Denali, 7yo boy, Golden retriever and a very good boy!  Denali is 1000% golden. Velcroed to your leg, happy to meet everyone: dogs, cats and people, loyal to a fault and stubborn as the day is long. He is happiest inside next to his humans. He would do well with another dog in the family, but is content being the only dog. He is a funny, goofy big boy full of love and loyalty. Denali was surrendered because  his owner could no longer afford to care for him. He came to us with extreme allergic dermatitis and was morbidly obese (was 131 when he came to us, now 99lbs, need to lose 10-15 more lbs). He has numerous environmental and food allergies, which demand he be on a cooked diet. Now that both the thyroid and allergies issues are being addressed, he is happy and full of pep. He knows basic commands, but in true golden fashion, he ignores them.  He loves to go for walks, but again, in true golden fashion, on his terms. He is the dog you see on Instagram that lays down at the dog park refusing to leave. He is currently on a homecooked diet to address allergies, takes thyroid medication twice daily and is on Benadryl twice daily. He also needs hypoallergic baths every other week.   The right family will be adopting a wonderful dog, that brings laughter and love into your home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2025, 5:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.      I’m a happy, playful girl with a big heart and an even bigger smile! I absolutely love being around people. Belly rubs, cuddles, and attention make my tail wag nonstop. I get along great with other dogs and would love a furry friend to play with! My favorite things are toys, running around the yard, and making my people laugh with my goofy personality. I’m crate trained and potty trained, and my foster mom says I’m such a good girl inside the house.   ***PUPPY POLICY*** -Puppies will be placed in homes with fenced yards and someone home to train them. We will not place puppies where they will be left home alone all day or crated for many hours. We prefer there be another dog in the home, but we're flexible on that. Lastly, our puppies are not placed in homes with old dogs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2025, 7:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.      When I first arrived, I was scared of everything. But after a few days, I realized my foster mom wasn’t going to hurt me, and I started to trust her. New people still make me a little nervous, but once I warm up, I’m all about cuddles and belly rubs. I love being close, but I also enjoy my space! My crate is my safe place, and I’d love to have one in my forever home where I can come and go as I please. I’m eager to please and learning fast. I may not know many commands yet, but I listen when my foster mom asks me to stop something. With time, patience, and love, I’ll be the best companion ever! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2025, 8:09 pm
