Story
Meet the biggest baby in the building, Mikey Mike! Mikey Mike has a lot of energy and wants to play! This big guy loves everyone, dogs and people; he`ll even give you hugs. His favorite time is when he’s playing with all his friends in the yard. He likes to chase and bow play with all pups, he’s not picky. Mikey Mike needs a home that is prepared to be active with him, take him on long walks and to the park to socialize him. If he has an outlet for his energy, he’ll be much more relaxed at home. He’d do great with another dog who is mellow and can handle his high energy. Mikey Mike would be a great addition to a happy home. Come meet him today at Charleston Animal Society in North Charleston and be prepared to fall in love!

Story
Meet sweet Octavia! This little girl is around 6-7 months old and came to us from our rural shelter partner when she was only 5 weeks old! Poor girl had a ROUGH start to life but was a fighter and made it through some pretty tough medical conditions. This girl is 100% healthy and is so ready to find her forever home. She has no lasting effects from the battles she fought in the beginning and is just the sweetest and happiest little lady. On top of medical conditions, Octavia then found herself in a situation where she needed rescuing once again. Without going into details we are just happy we have our sweet girl and can spoil her while finding her true forever home. She loves other dogs and does fine with kitties but being a puppy just needs to learn they do not want to play like her other pals do. She is super sweet, doesnt jump, is house trained and does well in crate. Octavia is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Story
Hi guys! My name is Levi. I am currently in a foster home and this is what my foster parents say about me,`Happy-Go-Lucky attitude is infectious both to his pack mates, future-owner, and anyone he meets.Truly he`s The Life of the Party during dog play sessions. The rest of the pack typically has more fun because he starts a rousing round of Tag/Chase or a lighthearted wrestle/ tussle.Levi authentically appreciates any love, pets, food, treats, or attention you give him and he returns it ten-fold with bouncy happy energy that has cheered my mood several times during our Training sessions. His basic Training and Commands are engrained enough that a vocal-correction is truly all he needs to live a happy full life making some humans life better. He can go to any sort of `Home` provided the family WANTS a dog that needs connection and stimuli to be his best as well as exercised regularly and plenty of play. With Constant practice he will get better and go farther than just basics. It depends on what `type` of pet the family prefers.. Companion-Dog or Adventure-dog; The Training is setup to advance from there and mold to the new family`s lifestyle.Levi will make some Family or Person really Happy, Truly.`Interested in Levi?! Please reach out to our team at 843.747.4849 ext.1527 or Donya Satriale; 843.906.6673 dsatriale@charlestonanimalsociety.org

Story
Hi, I`m Blaze. An almost 2yr old Female Retriever/Catahoula/terrier mix. Check out my unique markings and my many smiles! I`m Sweet as can be and I love daily life. I Listen well on and off-leash. I`m clingy and cuddly in the best ways. I enjoy sticking my head out of car windows, taking in new smells/tastes, cozying up next to my people and dog friends. I like to be vocal, play tug, devour frozen Kong treats and rubbing my back on the grass is pure bliss. It`s how I do my happy dance. I like most toys but my stuffed elephant Kong toy is a fav. I don`t care much for long walks or vigorous exercise, I`d rather be outside just lounging or inside snoozing at your side. I really like meeting other dogs and my foster brother and I are like 2 peas in a pod, even if he`s a little wild, bless his heart. Blaze is currently in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take dogs that are available for adoption into their homes and help try to get them adopted. Interested in Blaze Charlie?
