Now accepting applications for Atlas! Atlas is an adult neutered male husky about 2-3 years of age. Atlas LOVES people! He can't wait to greet us when he sees us with a wagging tail and big smile. Atlas can sit, if he is excited this can take a second or two but he can do it. He is learning to walk on leash and coming along nicely. He is used to living with another husky. Atlas' adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and micro-chipped. If you are interested in meeting Atlas please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Now accepting applications for Thor! Thor is a 14 month old neutered king shepherd/lab mix. If you are interested in meeting Thor please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab then Adoptable Animals and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Thor to be sure he is the right fit for you. If after meeting him you decide he is not the dog for you there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Thor is a wonderful boy! His family loved him dearly but were unable to find housing that would allow Thor to join them. Thor has lived with little children 2 and 4 years old and loved them. As a pup he was attacked by another dog and can be a bit guarded when meeting new dogs. If you do a slow introduction he could live with another dog. Thor has not been around cats. Thor doesn't pull on leash, but has no clue what you want him to do on a walk. Our staff are working on this with him daily and he is showing improvement. He is very respectful indoors and does not come up on the furniture unless he is invited. When it comes to bedtime, he would like to be on the bed for a cuddle, but if told no he will sleep beside the bed or in his dog bed. Thor is tall and could easily grab food off of the counter, but is way too much of a gentleman for that. Thor is a pretty big boy weighing 45.9kg/101lbs. He is strong but walks pretty well on leash. Thor's adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Thor yourself but still want to help? Story
Now accepting applications for Sasha! Sasha is a 3-year-old spayed female Siberian husky mix. If you are interested in meeting Sasha please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her beautiful face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Sasha to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting her you decide she is not the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Sasha loves people and has a tendency to forget her manners in her excitement to greet them. But once she settles down she is a lovely girl. Sasha cannot live in a home with cats. She does have a little resource guarding toward food and treats so that would be something her new family will want to work with and be cautious of until she gets to know you. Husky's are energetic dogs and require daily exercise. Long walks, bike rides or a game of fetch are wonderful ways to help Sasha drain her energy and make a lifelong connection with her new family. Sasha's adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Sasha yourself but still want to help? You can share her post or make a donation toward her care by clicking the following link. Thank you for your support! https://checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/mjaw

Story
Now accepting applications for Zoey! Zoey is a 6 month old female border collie/blue heeler mix. (born May 24/24) She is playful spirit with a heart full of love! This sweet girl is looking for a family who can keep up with her energy and appreciate her friendly, adventurous nature. If you are interested in meeting Zoey please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her beautiful face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Zoey to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting her you decide she is not the puppy for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Zoey is a bundle of joy and energy! She's intelligent, eager to learn, and always ready for her next adventure. Zoey loves spending time with people and thrives on both playtime and affection. Her herding instincts make her a great candidate for a home that understands active breeds. Zoey would do best in a home with space to run and explore, and with a family who can keep her mentally and physically stimulated. She's great with kids, but needs to learn to keep all 4 on the floor when meeting them making her a wonderful companion for families, and she's comfortable around cats. She might chase a cat if it ran but would never hurt one. Zoey is a young pup with lots of energy, so she'll need regular exercise and training to help her grow into the best version of herself. A family who understands the needs of her breed mix will be ideal to ensure she stays happy and balanced. Zoey's adoption fee is $300. She is started on her vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Zoey yourself but still want to help? You can share her post or make a donation toward her care by clicking the following link. Now accepting applications for Gunner! Gunner is an 11 month old neutered male English Bulldog/Australian Shepherd. Bet you haven't heard of that combination before! No matter what unusual mix Gunner is, he is one adorable little dude! If you are interested in meeting Gunner please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to Gunner's handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Gunner to be sure he is the right fit for you. If after meeting him you decide he is not the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Gunner is such a sweet boy. He loves to lay down and curl up in your lap for belly rubs. He is still young and gets excited when he first sees us and likes to jump up to greet us. We are working on him keeping all 4 on the floor and he can sit and lay down, it is just so exciting when you see people that not jumping is hard. Gunner is good with other dogs and we think he would be good with children who are good with dogs and mindful of their cues. Gunner's adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Gunner yourself but still want to help?
