Story
Now accepting applications for Thor! Thor is a 14 month old neutered king shepherd/lab mix. If you are interested in meeting Thor please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab then Adoptable Animals and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Thor to be sure he is the right fit for you. If after meeting him you decide he is not the dog for you there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Thor is a wonderful boy! His family loved him dearly but were unable to find housing that would allow Thor to join them. Thor has lived with little children 2 and 4 years old and loved them. As a pup he was attacked by another dog and can be a bit guarded when meeting new dogs. If you do a slow introduction he could live with another dog. Thor does not do well around cats. Thor doesn't pull on leash, but has no clue what you want him to do on a walk. Our staff are working on this with him daily and he is showing improvement. He is very respectful indoors and does not come up on the furniture unless he is invited. When it comes to bedtime, he would like to be on the bed for a cuddle, but if told no he will sleep beside the bed or in his dog bed. Thor is tall and could easily grab food off of the counter, but is way too much of a gentleman for that. Thor is a pretty big boy weighing 45.9kg/101lbs. He is strong but walks pretty well on leash. Thor's adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Thor yourself but still want to help? Story
Now accepting applications for Chance! This sweet boy is looking for a family to help him build his confidence. Could that be you? If you are interested in meeting Chance please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Chance to be sure he is the right fit for you. If after meeting him you decide he is not the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Chance showed up as a stray at someone's farm and they tried to find an owner, but no luck. The shelter was full and they were willing to hold on to Chance until space was available. They were so kind and even paid to have him neutered and got his first vaccinations! Chance is a shy guy who needs to find a family who is willing to take the time to earn his trust. A family with no kids or older kids would likely suit him best as kids can be a bit unpredictable. Chance is not sure of other dogs, but we think a home with a confident dog would help Chance move forward quicker. Chance seems to be okay around cats. Chance's adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Chance yourself but still want to help? Story
Meet Puffin everyone! Puffin is an adorable 4-month-old male pup with an exciting blend of Rat Terrier spunk and Blue Heeler intelligence. He’s a bundle of energy, curiosity, and charm, and he’s ready to bring joy into your home. If you are interested in meeting Puffin please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Puffin to be sure he is the right fit for you. If after meeting him you decide he is not the puppy for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks to Puffin's Blue Heeler background he is naturally smart and eager to please. He would thrive in a home where he can participate in plenty of physical activities and mental challenges. Regular walks, playdates, and training sessions will keep him happy and healthy. A patient and caring family who can provide structure, routine, and lots of love will help him grow into a well-adjusted adult dog. He’s a great candidate for training classes, agility exercises, and even some light canine sports as he matures. Puffin's adoption fee is $400 which includes a $100 neuter deposit. He is started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Puffin yourself but still want to help? You can share his post or click the following link to make a donation toward his care. Now accepting applications for Beauty! Beauty is a 3-4 year old spayed female Rottweiler/lab mix. When you are this gorgeous they name you Beauty! If you are interested in meeting Beauty please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her beautiful face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Beauty to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting her you decide she is not the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Beauty was brought to us a stray, she was found on the number 1 highway about 10km east of Moose Jaw. Lucky for her she was spotted and brought to safety. Beauty has been waiting for a week for her family to come looking for her, but no one has come. She would love to find a second chance at happily every after before Christmas so Santa has time to get her new address. Beauty walks well on leash, isn't overly interested in cats and doesn't react to the dogs she walks by, but a meet and greet would be necessary if there is another dog in the home. Beauty is a very easy girl, she isn't needy, just loves to go for walks and then curl up in her bed to keep you company. Beauty's adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Beauty yourself but still want to help?
