Story
Meet Molly – Your Loyal & Loving Rottweiler Mix Companion**Molly is currently not in the building as she is in foster care**Local celebrity, Molly, is now up for adoption! You might recognize this gorgeous gal from her cameo appearance at a recent Charlottetown Islanders game, where she assisted in the ceremonial puck drop (see photo #2 on her profile).Molly is a sweet, well-mannered 3-year-old Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an easygoing nature. She settles into a home quickly, happily claiming a cozy couch, chair, or bed where she can relax and watch the world go by.She plays nicely with her toys and is respectful in the house — no destructive habits here. Molly knows how to sit for treats and takes them gently. On walks, she does well on a flat collar. While she may pull occasionally, she responds when told “no pulling” and is eager to please. With consistency, she could easily learn to heel.Molly rides beautifully in the car and patiently waits while you run errands. She loves people and enjoys being part of everyday life. While she hasn’t had much socialization with other dogs and can be reactive to some on walks, her reactions are manageable and not excessive. She enjoys spending time outdoors and has done well on a line without a fenced yard. Molly will alert you with a bark if someone or a vehicle approaches, but she is not overly vocal. One of her little quirks is a fascination with light reflections, though she can be redirected with her favorite toy.Molly has also been cooperative with handling and care, tolerating wound cleaning and medication when needed. This lovely, loyal girl is ready to find a home where she can continue to thrive. Whoever adopts Molly will be gaining a devoted and affectionate companion.

Story
Come visit me at PAW - Adoption fee $450 - Like his namesake from Superbad, McLovin’ is unforgettable — full of confidence, big energy, and always ready for whatever adventure comes next. This young retriever mix is bursting with zest for life. Whether it’s a hike, a game of fetch, or just zooming around the yard, McLovin’ tackles everything with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. He’s a total sweetheart with people of all ages and greets everyone like they’re his new best friend. That said, McLovin’ is still working on his manners. He can be quite jumpy, and his excitement sometimes gets the better of him — which means little ones could get accidentally knocked over. He would thrive with a family committed to putting in the time and training he needs to channel his energy in positive ways. McLovin’ has shown some possessiveness over food, toys, and treats, so his new home must be willing to continue working on these behaviours with patience and consistency. With the right guidance, he has so much potential to grow into a truly exceptional companion. He’ll need a cat-free home, but he may do well with another dog. We recommend meet-and-greets with any potential canine siblings, as McLovin’ can come on a bit strong when making new friends. This wonderful boy is ready for a high-energy household that’s up for adventure and dedicated to helping him become the very best version of himself. With structure, love, and training, McLovin’ is going to absolutely flourish.

Story
Come visit me at PAW - Adoption fee $450 - Rex came to the shelter as a surrender, but while his past is a mystery, one thing is very clear—he is a truly fantastic dog with the potential to blossom into a once-in-a-lifetime companion in the right home. Rex loves being with his people and soaks up attention like a pro, especially when scratches are involved. True to his pittie nature, he can get a bit rough and mouthy during play, and he can be nervous around young children. Because of this, Rex would be best suited for a home with teenagers if kids are present. This smart boy is very food-motivated and happily offers a paw for a yummy treat—he could do it all day if you let him! This makes him a great candidate for ongoing training and learning new skills. After about 20 minutes of play, Rex turns into a classic couch potato and is more than ready for some quality nap time. With proper introductions, Rex could do well in a home with other dogs and even cats. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s equal parts playful and snuggly, Rex is ready to become your new best friend

Story
Come visit me at PAW!Adoption fee: $450Angus is a striking dog with his black wavy coat and a heart as big as his presence. Loyal, and full of personality, he thrives in a calm, adult-only home. Angus would do best in a household without kids or other animals, where he can be the center of attention and get the love he deserves. Potential owners must be willing to go slow and build confidence and trust with Angus. He has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion with firm but fair guidance. Angus is also learning to keep all four paws on the floor and how to keep his big slobbery mouth to himself. He is a smart cookie who knows how to sit, stay, shake, down, and come. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who’s equal parts tough and affectionate, Angus is your guy!

Story
Come visit me at PAW - Adoption fee $450 - Meet Kayne — a lovable, big-hearted boy who’s more than ready to find his forever family. After spending quite some time in the shelter, Kayne has truly come into his own. The growth he’s shown has been incredible, and his personality continues to shine brighter each day. Kayne is an adventurous spirit who loves being part of the action. Whether it’s heading out on a walk, exploring new places, or just tagging along for the ride, he’s always eager to be included. He’s also a total softie at heart — enjoying snuggles, meeting new people, and soaking up all the love he can get. This smart pup has shown he’s willing and excited to learn, especially when treats are part of the deal! Kayne would thrive with a family committed to continuing his training journey and helping him be the best boy he can be. He may even do well with a dog sibling, pending a successful meet and greet. Kayne loves his toys, but he plays hard — this silly goose can get a little carried away, so he’ll need sturdy, indestructible toys to keep playtime safe and fun. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle bug, Kayne might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to leave shelter life behind and start his next chapter with a family who will love him as much as he’ll love them.
