Story
I adopted Maggie from a shelter and she was very timid at first but as she began to warm up to the home she became very energized and had a problem with play biting. It took her about a week to get over that with proper training, she is a good learner if you can keep her attention. My only issue with her is she has a bit of separation anxiety and I am not sure how to treat that. She is a very loving and sweet dog, unfortunately when I moved into a new apartment, then landlord did not accept pets. Looking for a loving home for her

Story
Masie is a 10 year old terrier mix. She is spayed and UTD on her shots. Masie is being rehomed due to blending of two families and she is not able to live in the same house with other dogs. Currently, she is being kept separate from the other dogs, but it is not fair to Masie. Masie needs a home where she is the only pet. She also needs a 6 foot fence. She plays hard still at her age, so children over 5 would be best for her. Masie is a courtesy post and not a dog from PLDP Rescue. If interested in Masie, please email Dave at dedtileinc@comcast.net for more information.

Story
Meet 3 year old Horace! Horace was rescued from a Mennonite farm when the owners no longer wanted him. He lived on a farm and slept in a barn. He had a bad ear infection, scabby painful ears from horse flies and sadly tested positive for lyme. He was on antibiotics for a month, and his protein in his urine is perfect. He will test positive for the rest of his life, but shows no illness from the disease. Horace is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is VERY dog friendly and lives with two other dogs currently. He loves to play ball. Horace would do best in a home with another dog. He came out of his shell quickly in his foster home due to the other dogs in the home. He loves playing catch and wrestling with his favorite girl dog Zoe. He loves children but might knock them over accidentally. He weighs 78 lbs, but looking at him you might think he weighs close to 100. He has very long back legs. His foster mom calls him her little horse. Horace is still learning about personal space. He has no issues laying on top of you for love and passing out. He does not have a mean bone in his body. He would do best with a family that has another dog and a large 6 ft fenced in yard. He knows how to climb a chain link fence. He would be a great running partner! If interested in this handsome guy with a beard and a mohawk, please email us at pldpaws@gmail.com, fill out an application online at www.pldpaws.org or leave a message at 484-323-1134.

Story
Jackson is a 9 1/2 year old german shepherd mix that is neutered and up to date on his shots. Sadly, his owner just passed away and his family is now looking for a new home for Jackson. Jackson should be the only dog. He has never been around cats. He is great with kids and would do well with any age. He is good on the leash but pulls if a squirrel runs past. He is house trained and very playful. He loves chasing the ball, but not the best with bringing it back. He tries! He loves playing tug a war. Jackson is a chicken lover! Beef upsets his stomach. Any food with chicken is his preference. He loves laying in his bed and taking naps often. He loves getting belly rubs! Jackson is not a pldp rescue dog, but a courtesy post. If interested in adopting Jackson, please email Joanna Huhn at johuhn2350@gmail.com or call at 215-275-7175.

Story
Meet THOMAS aka "The Professor" Svelte and dreamy with knock out ears! Meet Thomas aka The Professor! Thomas is a debonair and stunning male pittie mix who is approximately 2 - 3years old and currently weighs around 50 lbs. He is destined to wear a tuxedo:-) Thomas is one of the most intelligent dogs that we have ever rescued hence his nickname "The Professor". We think he secretly works at NASA in his free time .. If you are a looking for a dexterous, self-assured dog to do agility training with .Thomas would definitely be up for that. He is eager to learn and loves to work through training and exercise. He craves physical and mental stimulation and would be an excellent hiking/adventure companion. He is very food motivated which is great for continued training. Thomas is non-reactive to dogs on the leash which makes daily jaunts with him smooth sailing, he is very enjoyable on leash walks. Thomas does need to be the solo act/only dog in the home at this time. He's a monogamous mutt! One dog at a time so he can have his human to himself. The Professor would thrive in an adult only home or a home with teenage children. He does not necessarily need to have a fenced yard since he does so well on leash walks but he does require his daily exercise regimen. If you are looking for an enthusiastic jogging/hiking buddy, then Thomas could be the perfect match for you. Thomas also loves a good cuddle and is an affectionate and loving pup who is also both crate- trained and house- trained. If interested in this special guy please contact Christine at christine@therescueexpress.org
