Story
Lucy is a lovable bloodhound. She is 5 years old. She is fixed. Weve had her for 2 years. I recently found out that I am allergic to hounds. She is good with cats and kids. Not sure if she can be around other dogs, haven't had her near any to see if she's friendly or not. Lucy like to relax on the couch and sleep. Loves to go on walks.

Story
Sweet Lilly girl came from a breeder and has been with the same owner for her first year of life. She is full of energy, loves to play with her ball, and loves to snuggle. Lilly is very shy at first but after some treats and love she will warm up. Lilly is loyal and very protective of her ‘pack.’ Lilly currently has an older brother and while they do well together, they play rough and often get jealous of one another. Lilly would do better in a home without other pets but could do okay in a home with pets with the appropriate training. Lilly has never been around cats or children.

Story
Buddy is one of our longest residents, having lived with us for FOUR YEARS! Throughout his time here, he has had devoted volunteers walking him daily and making sure he feels all the love they can give him; even taking him out on special field trips to break up the monotony of shelter living. Here is what they had to say about him: Buddy has the most captivating golden eyes that melt your heart when he looks at you. His smile is so endearing and reveals a few crooked teeth that make him look so adorable. He rides great in the car and going on adventures in the car is one of his favorite things to do. He loves going for walks and doing zoomies in the fenced in yard. His favorite toy is a stuffed animal. He loves having his bum scratched and when you stroke his fur. Buddy would make a great companion for someone who likes going on fun adventures or simply someone to spend time with. We have also found that frozen kongs are one of his favorite interactive toys. Buddy is looking for a family that can devote their undivided attention towards helping him transition from living so long in a shelter to living back in a home setting. At this time he will need to be the only child in the family and while he enjoys being physically and mentally exercised, he also loves to take long naps on comfy blankets! Please help us share Buddy so we can all work together to help find his new family that can really put a smile on that handsome face of his!Blue/Orange—16+ Kids, Only PetBuddy needs a little help with manners, but with a dedicated family, he’ll be a quick learner! He tends to mouth you when he`s excited or when he`s determined, at other times when he doesn’t know what to do he will try to mount; he needs consistency and routine for his basic cues to stick. He loves toys, but he is still working on allowing others to take the toys from him, you will have to trade him something of higher value at these times. Buddy has also found that a long walk or hike suits him just fine. If you are looking for a playful, adventurous companion, Buddy may be the right fit for you!For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Story
Little Joe arrived after being found as a stray many years ago, he has spent a good portion of his life with us waiting for his new family to find him. It is hard to describe Little Joe because his personality is as unique as his looks. ?? He is a volunteer favorite and has gone on several field trips over the years to help him enjoy life outside of the shelter setting. During these field trips they found he really enjoys hiking, he wades in water, car rides where he can stick his nose out are an all time favorite (even in the rain) and show that man a cheeseburger and his eyes get even bigger in excitement! Some speculations about him from staff and volunteers are that he thinks he is a stealthy hunter and doesn`t understand how ground hogs can hear him lumbering towards them, he most likely has the same voice as Sylvester Stallone and he would make a great wingman and he always has the biggest smile on his face! Volunteers have said when he first starts on his walks that he is a man on a mission and will walk and walk until he remembers there is someone on the other end of the leash, then he will come over for some ear rubs and back scratches. Overall, Little Joe is like an onion where he has many layers and the more time you spend with him to unpeel those layers, the more goofy and fun moments you will experience. ??Orange/Blue—Adult Only, Only PetLittle Joe is a big loveable lug who just has some specific quirks. He considers toys and food `his`. You will have to trade to get toys, and food is very high value to him so you will need to stay away while he is eating. He does take treats gently and loves short walks then being a couch potato. For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Story
Blue—16+ Kid by Kid, Dog by Dog (Opposite Gender)Requirements—Vet Check, Home VisitKhalesi is a dog with an abundance of energy here at the shelter who takes little time to slow down to just enjoy all of the little things. She`s always on the go; we could see her making a great hiking or running partner with the right focus that may help to exhaust her enough to relax. She would benefit from a family who have experience with guarding behavior as she has shown the beginning hallmarks of developing a protectiveness towards `her people`. With the right family we believe Khalesi could make a great companion. For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617
