Story
Four year old Fiona is simply darling. She is a perfect girl in the house. Fully housetrained, doesn't touch things she shouldn't, quiet but will alert you if she hears someone outside, loves to be with her humans, very gentle, affectionate...we could go on and on. Her ideal home would have a calm and quiet environment. Children in the home should be older since she prefers quiet. She would prefer to be the only apple of your eye and be the sole dog in the home, she loves her humans so much. Fiona is just a low maintenance pupper. The white around her eyes is a harmless pigmentation condition that gives her character! Fiona prefers not to be crated, but she's so well mannered, it hasn't mattered. We have however crate trained her. Fiona's special needs are orthopedic. While she gets around fine, and ignores her arthritis, she does need medication to keep her comfortable. Fiona has no problem jumping in the car, going up and down stairs, and navigating her environment both inside and outside. We have had her seen by an orthopedic surgeon who shared that any discomfort she has is from arthritis and old untreated injuries. He did not feel surgery is needed at this time. She is however scheduled for an injection into her knee in January which should give her significant relief. There is no adoption fee for Fiona to the right match, and the rescue will cover any injections or knee surgery she could possibly need in the future. Her adopter would be responsible for her maintenance vet needs, such as monthly preventatives, and well-care vet visits. If you'd like to be considered for this gem, just go to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application! PA License 18512 Souderton, PA.

Story
Chop was found by herself in a city park. A Good Samaritan saw her and brought her into the shelter. While she had no history on her, when asked what Chop was like with her, she quickly responded "friendly and cuddly". While at the shelter, Chop was quite sweet. When approached in her kennel, Chop was laying on her bed and came to the door with soft eyes and low wags. She sniffed the leash and came to the front with nub wags. She was patient for leashing and allowed the handler to slip it over her head without issues. When taken out into the yard, Chop was a friendly and social girl! Upon entering the yard she immediately began to solicit attention from both handlers with soft eyes, ears back, and tail low wagging. She allowed all handling and would give fast low nub wags when petting her. She took treats very gently as well when offered. As time went on she got more wiggly and bouncy, getting playful but still a little nervous of big movements. Another staff member entered the yard and Chop trotted up to them and leaned in right away, giving fast nub wags. We did a quick dog meet for her as well and she did amazing! Chop greeted nicely, with a loose body and fast low wags, and tried to engage in play with the other dog! She got so happy and goofy! Overall, Chop was a little nervous at first, but is super sweet and friendly. She showed Interest in toys but took no possession. Our vet has estimated her age as between 1 and 2. Story
Idris is ready to soar!! Idris is a resilient 3-4 year old Rottweiler who has overcome a rough start in life. After being rescued from a neglect situation where he was confined in a crate for the most formative years, he was severely underweight and required surgery for his knees to repair the results of that neglect. Despite these challenges, Idris has shown nothing but love, sweetness, and a strong spirit. After his double knee surgery this gentle boy spent four months in recovery with restricted movement and freedom yet he still showed his patience and gentlemanly nature, even in a new foster home. Idris arrived at his foster home with no previous introductions just two days after his surgery and he allowed his foster family to care for him. Idris now enjoys life with his foster family, including a playful 2-year-old foster brother, also a Kodi’s Club rescue and several senior pets, whom he respects completely. His 14 year foster, dog sister, corrects his rambunctiousness often and he has never challenged her. He also lives with 2 senior cats who have completely accepted him. He has an anxious attachment style, but that is easy to understand given his early neglect. He wants to be with his people where he feels safest and the more he has positive attachment experiences he will trust and relax. He’s a playful dog who loves making Rottweiler "talking" noises, but rest assured, he’s not shown aggression—he just likes to be heard! Idris is still working on building trust, especially when it comes to giving up toys, but he’s learning that if he gives up the toys he can play! He learns fast and thrives on consistency and structure. He’s incredibly smart and is looking for a forever home that can continue his training, help him build confidence, and provide plenty of playtime and new experiences to keep him stimulated. During this fall season in New England he has shown a love for pumpkins and apples. He plays with and then eats his fall prizes. He also loves balls and tug of war. He is food motivated so that can be used to inspire him to learn more. If you're ready to welcome a loyal, loving, and playful companion into your home, Idris is ready to meet you and show how much love he has to give. He is located in CT. Just submit our application on our site, www.kodisclub.org to be considered!

Story
Sally was found by a Good Samaritan and brought to the shelter with the hope of being reunited with her owner. She was described as calm and friendly. Sally was clearly someone's loved dog based on her behavior with humans who come in contact with her. She seeks affection and contact and is quite sweet. Her owner was unable to be located and so Sally came to rescue. Sally is an active girl, adores attention, and loves to eat. She enjoys investigating her surroundings, but also enjoys hanging out with human company. She was sensible with other dogs she met at the shelter and at the rescue. Cats are unknown. Because of her size and 'enthusiasm', children must be over 12 and have lived with large dogs previously. If you'd like to be considered for Sally, please go to our website and submit our application at www.kodisclug.og/applications, PA License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Miss Roxie is still looking for her forever home! Please share!! Roxie is a 1 year old Pittie & Catahoula Leopard Mix. Some of her many key features are her floppy ears, her chocolate brown eyes, & her white dipped feet. As a puppy she had a black coat but now her Catahoula colors are coming through as she gets older. An important thing to note about Roxie is that she requires some special care due to having only one kidney. With her prescription diet and a little extra bloodwork, Roxie will live a very happy life. Despite her condition, Roxie is a happy & energetic girl. Some of her favorite activities include learning new puzzle toys and games, getting the zoomies, and playing with her foster siblings. She is shy at first with new people so I believe she will do best with a home with adults and teenagers. Roxie could be happy as an only dog or she would love a big (dog) brother to romp with. A dog sibling her size (55 lbs) or larger would be the best fit. But if she’s the only dog in the home, I know she’d love soaking up the attention. Roxie has had one on one leash walk training and is very enthusiastic to learn. But I know she would thrive in a home with a yard or an active exercise partner for walks/runs. Story
Meet Indy! She is a 1year old Staffordshire/Shepherd mix, and is a lean & muscular 45-50lbs. Indy was recently diagnosed with heartworm and needs to undergo treatment, part of which is taking medication to help keep her calm. Indy is hit or miss with other dogs, and was never 100% solid with one of the dogs in the current foster home, and since being on medication she has suddenly stopped getting along with that dog. He is an older dog and Indy is becoming sporadically aggressive with him, while still getting along wonderfully with the other resident dog. Heartworm treatment isn't hard or time-consuming for the foster. She is scheduled for her first injection on July 18th, and will spend the night at the vet, and then a month later she will receive 2 injections on back to back days, also staying over at the vet. During treatment Indy needs to be kept calm. No running, no wrestling/playing with other dogs. When Indy likes a dog, she REALLY likes them, so rather than try to find a foster home with a dog she's going to want to play & run with, we're hoping to find her a dog-free foster home. This eliminates any issues with her possibly not getting along with a dog, or getting along with it too well. Indy loves to run around the large yard at her foster's home, so even though a fenced-in yard is normally a big plus, in this case since Indy isn't allowed to run and needs to remain on leash, a non-fenced yard would be perfectly fine. If the yard is fenced in, she would need to remain on a relatively short tether so she can't run/jump.
