Story
Two year old Harley has just completed a Board and Train program and did quite well. She worked with multiple trainers and training assistants and had a good relationship with each of them. We included the lead trainer's feedback below as they know her best. Harley will need a home that can meet her needs for activity and structure: "Harley is a ton of fun, She has VERY high energy & can be a bit silly but that’s her personality. I would say an ideal home for Harley would be with somebody who lives a very active lifestyle. She is always wanting to move and stretch those legs. Small children (mainly under 13) in a home with her likely aren’t ideal due to her hyperactivity and strength. She’s a strong girl who loves to jump around, I would be concerned with her knocking small children over. She is very social with the dogs that come to our enrichment program. We have been working on teaching her social skills by coaching her while she interacts with dogs so that she can have a more gentle approach. I think she could live in a home with another dog who matches her activity needs. Harley's adopter should be someone who is willing to give her structure throughout her day. When she gets bored she gets barky & tries to find something to do. She doesn't realize she needs time to shut off and relax. We have been working a lot on that off-switch with her through our place command and tether sessions. . As important as it is that we do our part teaching her how to be bored, I think it's just as important her future owner keeps up with it as well". If approved to adopt her, her trainer will spend time with her new family showing them the strategies that worked with this cutie pie. The first step is to submit the application on our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications. PA License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Miss Roxie is still looking for her forever home! Please share!! Roxie is a 1 year old Pittie & Catahoula Leopard Mix. Some of her many key features are her floppy ears, her chocolate brown eyes, & her white dipped feet. As a puppy she had a black coat but now her Catahoula colors are coming through as she gets older. An important thing to note about Roxie is that she requires some special care due to having only one kidney. With her prescription diet and a little extra bloodwork, Roxie will live a very happy life. Despite her condition, Roxie is a happy & energetic girl. Some of her favorite activities include learning new puzzle toys and games, getting the zoomies, and playing with her foster siblings. She is shy at first with new people so I believe she will do best with a home with adults and teenagers. Roxie could be happy as an only dog or she would love a big (dog) brother to romp with. A dog sibling her size (55 lbs) or larger would be the best fit. But if she’s the only dog in the home, I know she’d love soaking up the attention. Roxie has had one on one leash walk training and is very enthusiastic to learn. But I know she would thrive in a home with a yard or an active exercise partner for walks/runs. Story
Meet Indy! She is a 1year old Staffordshire/Shepherd mix, and is a lean & muscular 45-50lbs. Indy was recently diagnosed with heartworm and needs to undergo treatment, part of which is taking medication to help keep her calm. Indy is hit or miss with other dogs, and was never 100% solid with one of the dogs in the current foster home, and since being on medication she has suddenly stopped getting along with that dog. He is an older dog and Indy is becoming sporadically aggressive with him, while still getting along wonderfully with the other resident dog. Heartworm treatment isn't hard or time-consuming for the foster. She is scheduled for her first injection on July 18th, and will spend the night at the vet, and then a month later she will receive 2 injections on back to back days, also staying over at the vet. During treatment Indy needs to be kept calm. No running, no wrestling/playing with other dogs. When Indy likes a dog, she REALLY likes them, so rather than try to find a foster home with a dog she's going to want to play & run with, we're hoping to find her a dog-free foster home. This eliminates any issues with her possibly not getting along with a dog, or getting along with it too well. Indy loves to run around the large yard at her foster's home, so even though a fenced-in yard is normally a big plus, in this case since Indy isn't allowed to run and needs to remain on leash, a non-fenced yard would be perfectly fine. If the yard is fenced in, she would need to remain on a relatively short tether so she can't run/jump.

Story
Phoenix! This lovely, squishy medium sized (maybe 55 lbs) girl is around 2-3 years old. She was originally adopted from us as a puppy but returned for not getting along with the other pets in the home. Phoenix should be an only pet in her new home, but is a lovely girl willing to give you all her love. She would benefit from a diet and losing a little weight. She is a great girl who is fully housebroken (but may have a few small accidents as she gets acclimated) and crate trained. She would be fine with older, school aged children. Story
Kodiak! This handsome hunk is Kodiak. He was adopted from us as a puppy about a year and a half ago and while he was well loved some major family changes (through no fault of Kodiak's) made his family decide that they were not giving him the time and attention he needs. As sad and confused as Kodiak is at losing the only family he knows he is trying really hard to put on a brave face and is now looking towards to future. He is an energetic goofball and would love an active, adventurous family. Like hiking? So does Kodiak! How about games of fetch? Kodiak is your guy! Kodiak is housebroken and crate trained, although we would expect any dog might have a few accidents while they transition ot a new home and routine. Although Kodiak is very dog friendly he is also a (large) bundle of energy and may intimidate some dogs with his....exuberance. He did happily live with another dog since puppyhood. Although he lived with a very young child he is a 60 lb freight train at times and as such will accidentally knock over little ones and would do best with older kids or an adult home. Interested in Kodiak? Please go to www.dogtownrescue.org to complete an online adoption application

Story
Einstein! The adorable boy genius is Einstein. He is an approx 2 yr old medium sized mixed breed dog (pittie and/or some other energetic terrier mix). He joined us recently from a local shelter, so not much is known about his history, but we do know the following: - good in a crate/kennel - considers any person with food to be a friend, so it is pretty easy to introduce him to new people with a couple of treats to be his next bestie - affectionate. Enjoys snuggling with his people - dog friendly. Loves to play with canine friends Einstein is a typical young dog who would benefit from a family that will work on him with training and basic manners and keep him active. His adoption fee includes his neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping and heartworm testing (negative). He is also up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested in Einstein?
