Story
This is Zoie. Zoie is located in Texas and is looking for her forever home. She is very friendly with other dogs. She loves to be with her people. She has jumped the fence to chase her foster dad down lol. Her foster had to stop the car open the door and she jumped right in with a smile on her face. The second picture is after he picked her up. Zoie would love a family that has a fenced in yard and loves to be active. Zoie would enjoy going for car rides and just being with her human as much as possible. Zoie is a good girl who just wants to be loved. We feel Zoie would do great with an adopter who is possibly a truck driver as zoie like to jump in the car when you leave and is always down to go for a ride. She even had to jump the fence to go for a ride with her foster dad to the hospital when her foster momma had to go by ambulance. If you think you are the right family for Zoie please send us a message or you can fill out the application on our website at coalmountain.org to be pre-approved. Zoie is located currently in Texas but transport is available for an approved adopter or foster. The adoption fee includes transport.  ##1454952##

Story
Ace came to Barc as an owner surrender He’s heart worm negative!! Staff say he’s a well behaved and sweet boy that is tired of being cramped up in the shelter and wants to be out running around outside! Volunteers say he’s so EXCITED to get outside! They also said he’s full of energy! He can be a little jumpy, but that’s because he’s excited to be outside Volunteer and Shelter Highlights: Heartworm Status Negative Friendly Eager to go outside Easy to leash, A little jumpy LOTS of energy Vocal in kennel Got into tussle with dog in the run next door This spunky guy is full of energy. He wanted out so bad, leashed quickly and pulled to get outside. He immediately did his business. Was a little jumpy when he played and had to re direct a few times. He enjoyed treats and happily accepted some scratches. He was OK with other dogs in the run for the most part but had what seemed like a one off situation with Archie. Not sure what triggered it but they were fine one minute and then cage fighting the next. They cooled off for a bit and Ace walked fine back to his kennel. He is a very good boy, super cute and friendly and oh so handsome. Shelter Notes: 2/06 Ace is very vocal in his kennel. when I approach him he is panting heavily with his tongue out . He is very forward on the leash , placed outside and brpugh back in and after some time outside . He walks with a more loose body once he has spent some time outside. 2/02 Ace has been vocalizing in his kennel . For am cleaning I was able to leash and he was forward on the leash , placed in the runs to potty and went to clean kennel. When coming back to retrieve and leash he kept avoiding the leash  when I attempted to leahs him up. I had to walk in and toss treats down in order to leash him. Walked out on a loose leash , Placed back into his clean kennel. Later on in the pm most of the dogs were barking and I came to his kennel and noticed he was panting heavily with his tongueout and dilated pupils . Appears to be stressed in kennel and is avoidng the leash placing on adopt eval to monitor.   ##1344506##

Story
Ricardo is a young Antolian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 70 lbs. He is a great dog. He loves kids and all humans. He is good with dogs but can be selective with males. Ricardo was found running the streets of Philly and ended up in a high intake shelter because another rescue was negligent in placing him in a home and never checked out the "adopter" very well. We got the call that he was in the shelter and because our microchip was planted we reclaimed Ricardo. He has been in a foster home with a close friend and also board member. He has been really good with the kids in the home, he has been also been good with the other dogs but can be selective with the male dogs in the home. He has done well with the one male pittie in the home. He hates the cats. He loves to be outside and fights to come inside. Ricardo loves the water and will lay in the baby pool and soak. He also loves to share the bed but he hogs most of the bed ##1734780##

Story
They are a bonded pair. We arent sure if they are mother and daughter or sisters. Both girls have been very very scared and have huddled next to each other for comfort. Both girls were surrendered to the shelter severely under weight. They went to boarding for a few weeks to try and help them open up but they both still struggled tremendously. Both girls are now in foster care in homes to help them come out of their shells and see if we can get them to open up and gain their trust. ##1347250##

Story
This is Pintas, we were asked to help this girl. The finder had been feeding her for a while trying to get her help and off the mean streets of RGV (Rio Grande Valley) where very bad things happen to animals all the time. She didn't have any luck and one day about 2 mos ago the finder went outside to feed Pintas and found that she couldn't walk or stand up. Pintas was hit by a car and left on the side of the road like trash in severe pain and to die alone. Pintas finder rushed her to the vet where we then learned that pintas had a fractured pelvis. We also learned at that time that Pintas was heartworm positive. She had to wait until she healed to be spayed. She will be scheduled in the coming week. Once she heals from spay surgery she will then start heartworm treatment. Puntas has made such stride and progress when the vets didn't have much hope for a 100% recovery. Pintas now can run, jump and play. Something the vet didn't expect to happen. They said that she would need surgery but Pintas proved them all wrong. She will be available for adoption once she finishes her heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting Pintas please send us a message or you can apply directly at coalmountain.org ##1454970##
