Meet the adorable Marco! He is a 1 y.o., 23 lb. boy who may be a Feist/Shiba Inu mix possibly? He was an owner surrender at a WV shelter. He is very skittish, takes time to even warm up for petting and will take a very patient adopter to go super slow with him. He is goofy, loves other dogs and needs that in his new home to help him feel more comfortable. He is a flight risk, so a fenced yard is an absolute must! No exceptions! He escaped from original adopter and it took 6 weeks with the help of a search team to catch him. Also, for that reason no small children that can easily open a door where he might escape. Lacey is a lovable 45 lbs 7-8 year old lab mix. She gets excited when new people come over and loves to be petted and loved on. She is fully house trained, never chewed on anything outside of her toys or chew bones, and is great with kids and other animals. She is quite spry for an adult dog. Julie is from a litter of 8 hound/pittie mixes that has arrived from Tennessee. She’s been with us for 4 months! She is on the petit side at about 35lbs, spayed, microchipped and UTD on vaccines.Still looking for her forever family. She loves other dogs and plays non stop. She likes to lick your face and when she’s tired she will cuddle up close. We are accepting applications for her and her adoption fee is $400. Per rescue policy, bully breeds and bully breed mixes are adopted to homeowners only. All adopters must be within one hour of West Chester PA. Piper is a super sweet 3 month old pup that has just arrived from Tennessee with her siblings. She is quite the cuddler and loves to be held and play. She has a lot of energy and would do great with another dog in the home and a yard. She is current on her shots and is microchipped. She currently lives with several children and is great with all. All puppies are $350 adoption fee with a $150 spay deposit. Please be within one hour of Thornedale, Pa. She would do well in a home with another dog. FOSTER NEEDED! Garrett - this big, young man is sweet and strong, around 2 years old. We think he has boxer, hound (long legs) and probably some pit in him but a dominate breed impacted his height. He is tall and strong. He is playful with other dogs, rough houses with dogs his own size but tones down his behavior with puppies. He is nuts about playing with his empty metal bowl and now a big white bucket. He also loves stuffed toys but destroys them along the way. He is currently in a foster home for a rescue in Tennessee with several humans, lots of dogs and pups and cats. Linus is a sweet little guy who definitely has had a harder life before coming to PA. He comes from a shelter in West Virginia where he spent nearly 2 years and we suspect shelter life was a tad hard on him. Linus is slowly coming out of his shell and you can tell he’s excited for another chance! Linus LOVES other dogs and gains confidence from being around them. We strongly believe it would be best for him to be in a forever home with at least one other canine friend. Most times, you’ll find him snuggled up with our other dogs – he truly seems to find comfort from them. He also enjoys his walks and does incredibly well on the leash. For a small dog – he’s about 10lbs -he’s very quiet and there’s not much he reacts to. It should be said that given his extensive shelter stay and unknown history before that, Linus is a bit scared and skittish . He probably should not go to a forever home with small children. Linus tends to be initially afraid of people and it’s not his favorite to be pet or cuddled by new people . Something that could definitely change with time and treats! Linus is extremely food motivated and a good eater. Linus is a 10 year old sweetheart who needs a soft place to land in a home with other dogs and older children.
