Meet Cookie Cookie is a stunning 2-year-old Catahoula mix with a look you won’t forget. Her unique coat pattern and beautiful mismatched eyes make her truly one of a kind, and her sweet, affectionate personality makes her even more special. In her photo, you can see her soulful expression and attentive stance—she’s always tuned in to the people around her. Cookie came to rescue from animal control alongside Muscles. The two get along great, but they do not need to be adopted together. Cookie would do best with thoughtful introductions to other dogs, as she can be dog selective, and she has not yet been tested with cats. This girl absolutely loves attention. One of her favorite things to do is gently place her head in your lap and look up at you, asking for love and affection. Cookie thrives on human connection and enjoys being close to her people. She’s also a big fan of car rides, all the treats she can get, and long, leisurely walks where she can take in the world. Because Cookie is strong and enthusiastic, she would be best suited for a home with older children. She could easily knock over a small child without meaning to, simply due to her size and excitement. Cookie is looking for a home that understands her needs, provides structure and consistency, and appreciates her loyal, loving nature. Meet Chichi & Rufus — A Sweet Senior Duo Looking for a Soft Place to Land Chichi and Rufus are a bonded pair of senior sweethearts, both 13+ years old, who are hoping to find a quiet, loving home where they can spend their golden years together. These two little dogs came to us from a very difficult situation and were in rough shape when they first arrived. With some much-needed veterinary care and a lot of kindness, they’re feeling much better and ready for a second chance. Chichi is a tiny Chihuahua mix with the sweetest little face and soulful eyes. She recently finished treatment for Lyme disease and also had a dental — she now has just three teeth left, which only adds to her adorable charm. Chichi does have some decreased cognitive abilities and may be experiencing some age-related dementia, but she still enjoys life, her meals, and the comfort of being close to her people and her best friend Rufus. Rufus, who we believe may be a Jack Russell mix, is the slightly scruffier gentleman of the pair. He also had a dental and has about five teeth remaining. Rufus still enjoys the simple things — especially short little walks outside and spending time exploring the yard. He keeps a watchful eye on Chichi and clearly takes his role as her companion seriously. Both dogs are very food motivated and absolutely love mealtime. They are not housetrained, so their future family should be prepared to manage that with patience and routine. They get along well with cats and other dogs, and older, respectful kids would be fine. Most importantly, they must be adopted together. After everything they’ve been through, they rely on each other for comfort and security. Chichi and Rufus don’t need much — just a clean, safe home, gentle care, and someone willing to give them the love they’ve likely been missing for most of their lives. In return, you’ll give two deserving seniors the chance to spend the rest of their days knowing warmth, kindness, and family. If you have room in your heart for a pair of little old souls who truly deserve peace and love, Chichi and Rufus are waiting to meet you. Meet Rooney. This handsome black-and-white senior is a 9–10-year-old Border Collie mix who came to us from local animal control. He hasn’t had an easy life, but he has a gentle heart and a real love for adventure. Rooney is a special-needs boy. He has cataracts and is going blind—currently he has roughly 50% vision. We want him to experience and enjoy all the sights he still can, and we’re hoping to place him in a loving home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of his life. Rooney is a sweet, loyal guy who enjoys exploring and will make a wonderful walking partner. He thrives on routine, reassurance, and quiet companionship. Because of his limited vision and past experiences, Rooney must be the only pet in the home—no cats, no other dogs—and he is not suitable for a household with children. Despite everything he has been through, this old soul still has so much love left to give. He deserves a calm, patient adopter who will help him navigate his world and give him the kindness and stability he’s always deserved. Mongo is a three year old hound mix breed who weighs in at a approximately 45 pounds. Mongo is extremely friendly and likes to play with other dogs and toys and needs someone who wants a buddy for life who wants to be by your side all the time. He is also good with cats. He does know some basic commands. Mongo is neutered as had his shots and is house broken. He’s also crate trained although he prefers to be with his human of course! We prefer a home with no young children just because he has to warm up at first to new people, and he might accidentally knock a young child over, or be a little too energetic for wee little ones. She truly loves people and greets everyone as a potential new best friend. Snacks, walks, toys—you name it, Buttercup is all in. Buttercup already knows how to sit and is working on her manners, especially learning not to jump when she’s excited. She’s a smart, high-energy girl who thrives with structure, consistency, and positive training. She is both food- and toy-motivated, making her a fun and rewarding partner for continued training and enrichment. She can be selective with other dogs and has lived with cats before, though she sometimes needs reminders not to chase them. Buttercup does well with kids, but because she’s energetic and still polishing her manners, she could accidentally knock over smaller children. Buttercup will do best with an adopter who understands responsible dog ownership and is committed to meeting her physical and mental needs through regular exercise, training, supervision, and clear boundaries.
