Story
Socks was born here in our house along with puppies, cats, dogs, rabbits, etc. She is as sweet as can be, easy going, docile, low drive, and loves hugs. She would be great for a retired vet or family. She is about 6, and is from long coat, straight back American and German lines. Her Sire was Ash of Pioneer German Shepherds, her Dam was Honey. My kids are grown and no one is ever home to keep her company and take her out. Some of our dogs have been used for therapy work in the past, Socks could be a good candidate for that.

Story
We rescued tank at 1 year old and have had him since. He is good around our girls most times. He does not like people hanging on him a lot and tends to be protective over his home. He likes to bark at anything and everything out the window and blinds. Very sweet dog and listens very well. He needs some work on a leash. We just don’t have the time to give him anymore and are hoping someone with a yard and some land does. We have a smaller backyard and he loves it. We just don’t have the proper time with kids and careers anymore for him. It breaks our heart.

Story
Can you believe this is the face of a dog that no one wanted? Sir Fredrickson was found as a stray in AL in the fall of 2024 under weight, full of worms and covered in road rash. Since then, he has fully healed physically and emotionally. Fred is an excitable love bug that enjoys going walks, car rides and chewing on bones. He has a big block head and casually throws it in any lap that will accept him for cuddles. When not getting love from hoomans (kids included) he does like playing with the resident dogs. Freds perfect home will not have cats. If you are looking for a companion to start your new year out strong, Fred is your guy! Morning alarm clock- check, accountability partner to move your body every day- check, eat less (because of course we share  )- check. He will be 2 in March and he is currently 65#. Fred is patiently waiting in Carlisle, PA and would love to meet you! Story
Will the luck of the Irish, help me find my forever soon? Hi! My name is Zeus, & I'm a ~1 year old, ~48lbs, mixed breed dog. Originally I am from Georgia, but traveled to PA in hopes of finding my forever home & a chance to be someone's best friend. I love meeting new folks & if you think we might be good friends I'd love to meet you! First, let me tell you about myself. Food is so yummy! I am really food motivated, which makes training a lot more fun. If you have a yummy treat for me, I'll sit, stay, come for you. I get scared sometimes when I am alone, & foster dad says I still need some work on my puppy manners, but I got this potty training thing down! I also learned that cars are so much fun! It doesn't matter where we go, but I am always excited to sit in the back & go for a ride with my humans. The best home for me, would not have cats. I play well with other dogs, but can be a little rough. Running and wrestling other doggy friends gets me so excited. Human kids are great to cuddle and play with as well. I know they just little, and I love running on the playground with them. As much as I like playing outside, cuddling humans is my other favorite thing to do. My foster mom says I can be a jealous boy sometimes & but I just love to feel like I'm a part of the pack. Currently, I am living with my foster family in Mountville, Pa. It's just right outside Lancaster. Oh and I am already neutered and microchipped. You won't have to ever worry about losing me. So are you interested in adding another member to your family? Please, fill out an application and schedule a meet and greet! I would very much want to find my forever home soon. Story
Meet Beethoven! This handsome boy came to PA to leave his old life behind and start fresh searching for a new family to call his own! Beethoven is a guesstimated 5 yr old neutered male Saint Bernard mix weighing 126 pounds his vet said he’s at an appropriate weight now! He wont be happy when he cuts back on food  Beethoven loves people (big and small) and dogs however has not been cat tested. Beethoven has had a rough few months. Down south he was found with a bad injury to his paw (all healed now). He was neutered and treated for heartworm. If surviving heartworm wasn’t hard enough he was diagnosed with IMHA and fingerscrossed has beat that too! He has been off prednisone for two weeks and is doing great! Now that he isnt sick and isnt full of steroids we can start to see Beethovens true self! He is certainly a lover and loves scratches. He doesnt know how big he is and will get on your lap for attention. He walks well on a leash but has been reactive (barks) at times when he hears/sees dogs/people. And true to the breed he is stubborn   Have seen some resource guarding here and we are working with him on that. I think it has become less since being off prednisone and once he learns to trust you. He is house and crate trained and up to date on current vaccines and preventatives. For now he will be patiently waiting for his new family in Dillsburg PA.
