Story
Hi, I’m Bentley! I just turned 5 years old, and I am full of energy, love, and antics! My owners rescued me from Saving Shepherds Rescue in Texas, and moved me all the way to Erie, PA. I love the snow, racing around my backyard, playing fetch, going on walks and car rides, and cuddling. I do better alone, without other animals or small children. I like my personal space, and get protective over my crate, bed, food, and toys. This is why I do better alone- however, I LOVE people, I get so excited, sometimes I pee a little. I need a home where I can exercise, get cuddles, go on walks and car rides- I crave attention and connection with my owners. I can be very vocal- I like to bark when I play and get excited! I am house trained, crate trained, and know a few tricks of my own: I can sit, laydown, come (I also listen to a whistle), high-five, and hug. -We want Bentley to have the best home, he would benefit so much from the attention and love you have to give him!

Story
Meet Jake, a 10 ½ years young neutered Orange & White Brittany looking for a very special home to call my own!   Jake is currently being fostered in Northern New York, but is really dreaming of a home of his own. Don’t let he’s age fool you he still has lots of Brittany puppy energy, curiosity and mischief making ability to give. He would love an active home where he gets to go on adventures and nice walks, as Jake gets so excited when the leash comes out says his foster mom. Jake loves being around people but can get pretty excited and jumpy at times so a new home with older, dog savvy children would be best suited for him. He also enjoys the fact his foster family works from home. So, Jake really hopes his new family also works from home, is retired, or will at least spend more time home then away too. Jake is crate trained but it does make him nervous and anxious.    Jake is also quite the “talker” especially when he needs or wants something. His foster Mom wishes Jake either spoke English or she understood dog, so he could maybe tell her about his past and why he has some of the traits he does. Jake can be pretty set in his ways at times, like when it comes to sharing toys or things he’s not suppose to have. When Jake has a favorite toy, socks or other items that he’s not supposed to have, he will grab and keep it close. It’s felt he may have never had “things” of his own so now that he does he doesn’t know how to act, which is something his fosters are working on.  Jake is not a fan of other dogs, his previous interaction with them have not been positive, so he now much prefers to be an only dog. Jake’s new home should also be cat free too, as he has the typical Brittany prey instinct when it comes to chasing small critters too. Despite his quirks Jake loves to snuggle, curling up in a lap and sleeping next to his fosters at night. Jake is housetrained, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention, and micro chipped too. So, now all that’s missing is a place to call home Forever! Is that your home?  If so, please consider filling out an application for Jake/NY online at: http://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application. Once your application is submitted the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators. Jake’s adoption fee is 250.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Jake back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in NY or close by, No Problem!  NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Brits like Jake to their new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Still have questions? Contact NY Coordinator Deb MacSherry at debmacsherry53@gmail.com Or Jean Rand at jrand13@gmail.com, Thank you!   November 21, 2025, 11:35 am

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  December 15, 2025, 9:27 am

Story
Hey Everyone, I’m Molly an 18-month-old orange and white spayed Brittany mix searching for the right place to call Home Forever!  Right now, I’m enjoying the good life in a great foster home in Southeast PA. I am up to date on my vaccines, spayed, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, on prevention, and crate trained. I’m looking for a Forever home that may have another dog that’s looking for someone to run around with, as well as, maybe engage in a game of tug a war at times too. I love to be outside, I walk well on a leash, I tolerate cats okay and get along well with other dogs. I also love people of all ages. However I’m still working on remembering my manners to not jump or bark at them, as I continue to work on important basic commands.  Here are a few other things my Foster Mom feels you should also know about me, Molly!  *Molly has recently been diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus. If you have never heard of this? We are happy to explain it to you. Basically, Molly’s brain doesn’t know to stop drinking water. She will drink all the water she given without stopping. However, she is on medication (eye drops) twice a day for the rest of her life to help her brain communicate. Molly will need a family who is willing to give her regular water breaks and continue to help her learn water will always be available. *Molly doesn’t mind being in a crate for a few hours. Sometimes she likes to just lie in it and take a nap, but she does best if she doesn’t have to stay in it for long periods during the day. Molly has not gotten used to snuggling yet, but will try it occasionally with us. She just has lots of energy and prefers to be playing instead!  *Molly needs a loving family that plays and will let her be goofy too. She will need another dog that also wants to play and can help teach her boundaries, as Molly likes to try to chew on her foster fur sister’s ear at times to get her to play. She will also need a physically fenced in yard to play in as remember she has lots of energy and needs plenty of exercise. Molly is fully house trained which took quite while to accomplish give her previous owner crated her for long periods of time, she was not given potty training lessons until she came to her us her at NBRAN, as well as, having diabetes Insipidus.   If you think Molly would be a wonderful addition to your family then please consider filling out an adoption application using the link below as Molly is ready to pack up her blanket and toys and start her next chapter!  If you’re interested in submitting an application for Molly/PA, you can do so here:  https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application Once we receive you application the coordinator in the State where you reside will follow-up with you. Need to reach your State Coordinator, find their contact information here http://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators. Molly’s adoption fee is 325.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like Molly/PA back to good health and readying them for adoption.  Don't live in Southeast PA or close by, No Problem! NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team willing to help bring Molly to her new family, up to 1400 miles, with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee.
