Story
Sally is a sweet girl who is searching for her forever home. She is a sweet, dorky but smart girl that loves attention. She is about 18 months old, female shepherd mix breed. She is about 65 pounds. She came into the system after someone noticed she was tied to a dog house with no other source of shade. She is a sweet, medium energy girl that gets along with everyone! She loves playing, but her fosters are a retired couple with more dogs than energy. She loves kids, cats and dogs. She is crate trained. She does well with change and adapts very quickly. She loves treats and toys (Sometimes to pieces.). She loves water. She has so much potential to be an amazing companion with some one on one attention. She has watched other puppies come and go and still she is here with us. To apply fill out our online Adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/80635351784158

Story
Bowie is approximately 11 months old and last weighed in at 44 lbs.  We picked him up from the Philly shelter along with Bean (who may be his brother).   The only history we have is that on 09/21/24 both dogs were found at the same location and brought to the shelter as strays.  They were both a little skinny but have put on some weight and according to the vet, are very healthy. Bowie is a very sweet dog and loves people.  He is not food aggressive and seems good around kids. Because he is a very rambunctious puppy, he would need to be monitored around small children. He is very energetic and plays very rough with Bean; these two are very close. Seems ok with most dogs but shows some aggression toward some dogs during his obedience class.  His prey drive is very strong, so having small animals or pets (such as cats) around would not be advised. He is a puppy and likes to dig and chew on anything.  He is a big jumper and pulls hard on walks, all which can be fixed with time and training.  Bowie is crate trained.  He has had some monitored time in the house outside of the crate.  He likes to counter surf which can be resolved with more training.

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!: She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
We are offering the most regal and unusual Norwegian Elkhound female, named Svart (meaning dark in color) but we prefer to call her “Cleopatra”.  This gorgeous girl is the leader and Queen of them all.  Regal and fully confident, she is everything we know Cleopatra to have been back in her days of making history.  She is the epitome of a queen that is full of reigning power in her breeding pack.  This 5.5 year old girl is gorgeous and is 65 pounds.  Undeniably in charge , Cleopatra Svart insists on being the focus of your family’s life.  She can live in peace with other dogs but we don't think she would be good at dog parks with dogs rushing up to her face with no introduction. She is happy with all the humans she meets and she is part of a large pack of breeder dogs that her owner is asking Critter Cavalry Rescue to help place. She is downsizing and getting out of the breeding business.  Our Svart AKA Cleopatra, needs a place of her own inside a home with her dog bed throne to await her.  If you are interested in this regal queen, please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com She is ready for YOU to walk her down the red carpet to her new home. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Gregarious Gail, as we call her, is just 21 months old and is a true beauty of a pure bred Norwegian Elkhound.  She possesses all the wonderful traits through and through. Gail is a special girl because as a puppy she had an infection that caused her to lose her tail and two toes on her back feet.  She is so cute with the shorter tail and it hasn't slowed her down a bit. In fact, Gail is a very active and athletic lady who can jump, run, spin and play.  Gail hasn't had much of a start in life and she deserves much more.   She is outgoing and very sweet and just a touch shy at first when she meets new people and new situations.  Critter Cavalry rescued her an overwhelmed Elkhound breeder and has promised this loving, loyal and friendly girl, to give her a family that will recognize her special bright spirit.  She gets along well with others and goodness just look at that beautiful face. She is going to make some person or family so very happy.  This rare breed is known for being extremely loyal, intelligent and sensitive.    If you are interested in owning a breed that is fast becoming rare in the U.S. then please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   She is ready for a fresh new start to her young life. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm
