His former owner was a homeless and addicted to drugs. A fellow rescuer purchased him to get him out of the situation. He is good with other dogs. Loves his crate, toys, going for walks and going in the car. It takes him awhile to get settled into a home, so he needs a patient adopter.

Saltine is a little lover- he loves to cuddle! He sleeps in bed every night and is right up against his foster mom. He gets along well with the resident dogs and likes to ride in the car. He is food obsessed. He most likely was not fed regularly, and he inhales food. A slow feeder bowl is a must. He will also push resident dogs right out of their bowls and inhale their food- so he will need to bed fed separately from other pets and have their food kept away. A home that “free feeds” current pets will not work for Saltine. He is house trained, but he does “leg lift” in the home on occasion. Due to have such pronounced Bulldog legs, he is not going to be running partner, but would love a walk!

She was just returned to us because her adopters are elderly, and one of them hurt her back trying to lift her in the tub for a bath. They were going to euthanize her if we didn’t take her back! Despite being 9 years of age and a little gray in the face, she still has tons of spunk. She loves going to walks. She loves attention.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORVILLE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Orville was rescued by a good Samaritan in Arkansas, when he was founded at an abandoned home. He was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and very weak. Once we got him to our vet we found that he was anemic, the fleas had sucked all of his blood. He is also heartworm positive, and he’s started the beginning of heartworm treatment. He’s feeling so much better and is on the path to good health! Orville is feeling better now, and his personality has started to show. He shows signs of being abused. He is not going to be a good first dog for someone, and he will need someone who’s dog savvy, and will give him space to settle in his environment.

Unfortunately, overtime, the resident dog did not care to have a young puppy in the home, and she has now been returned to us. $50 is refunded after completion of an approved puppy class.
