Story
Cody, Chance, Chip and Charlie are 4 of the most handsome boys. These boys are tiny, weighing in around 3 lbs – They were born February 2nd, mom was a dachshund mix and dad was a pug/chihuahua. We know they will not get very big at all; we estimate they will stay under 13-15 lbs. Surrendered to us on the Texas/Mexico border, where animals are euthanized by the hundreds in the local shelters, we could not say no to these babies. Cody, Chance, Chip and Charlie are rambunctious and playful little guys. They absolutely love everyone they meet! They are all quite long bodied and their whole bodies wiggle when they are happy and excited, which is always! They love all humans, including children. Please ensure your children know how to be responsible for handling small puppies before adopting, as they can be hurt easily given how tiny they are. Cody, Chance, Chip and Charlie have been introduced to kitties and despite the cats being bigger than they are, they get very excited and nervous. With slow and proper introductions, these pups can happily live with cats! Chance is the runt of the litter and the smallest of all 4. They LOVE other dogs and would do great in a home with other dogs. They would also do fine with no other dogs, but please keep in mind these puppies are quite playful and energetic and may get bored with just being the only dog in the home. So, please plan to offer lots of stimulation from keeping the puppy from getting bored 😊 These 4 guys are just the best. They are so happy, so friendly and well socialized. They will be the first to greet you and lick you all over. They do not have a mean bone in their body. Small bodies, big hearts. They love hard, cuddle hard, play hard and sleep hard. They love their toys! These puppies are current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, will be microchipped, receive a negative fecal and a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org PLEASE NOTE: This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks Albany, NY Wells and Brattleboro, VT Willington, Enfield, New Haven and Dayville, CT Port Chester, NY Dayon and Akron, OH Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ White Marsh and Falls Church, MD We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Story
Dottie and Akita were born on January 15th, 2026 and are some of the fluffiest, cuddliest big girls. Weighing in at over 15 lbs as of March 22nd, these girls we believe will be over 70 lbs once full grown. Their mom is a 60 lb border collie/lab mix, dad is a traveling milk man. Dottie and Akita are the last 2 of the puppies from the litter remaining. Both girls love other dogs! We encourage another dog in the home for socialization, but it is not needed as these girls are just so friendly and outgoing. They have been introduced to cats and if anything, they are more scared of the cats than anything. The cats want to snuggle up and they run away. They would do wonderful in a home with cats too, and more likely small animals as they have ZERO prey drive. Dottie and Akita are learning house training and do wonderful with crate training at night. They sleep a solid 8 hours in their crate with no issues. They are curious and too smart for their own good. They want to explore everywhere they can and like to slip through their puppy panels to go gallivant around other areas of the house and backyard. Both girls need plenty of exercise as they are both very active. They would be AMAZING with children. Akita – She looks more like a Norwegian elk hound – She is way more outgoing and rambunctious than Dottie. She is very confident and would do fine with no other dogs in the home. Loves her belly to be rubbed. Never leaves her sister alone. A great dog to take on adventures as she likes to go and go and go. First one to try anything. A dog that would rather ask for forgiveness than permission. Bold and beautiful. WATER DOG 100% - will sit in water bowls and anything she can, water related Dottie – Looks more like a St. Bernard mix – She was timid the first 24 hours and then flourished after. We do recommend another dog in the home with Dottie as she is not as confident as Akita. Dottie is curious but will hang back and let Akita try everything first, very smart. Will ask permission before forgiveness. Loyal. Will become very attached to their human. Likes to lounge around a bit more than Akita but still loves her playing time. If you are looking for a great personality, loyal, smart, playful, VERY food motivated, and all around fantastic active puppies – please consider one of these girls. They will have 2 sets of parvo/distemper vaccines, bordatella, microchip, rabies if old enough, current bravecto (flea/tick prevention), current heartgard, current dewormer, negative fecal, and a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to transport. Story
Chico is a 1-year-old male mix that weighs about 50 lbs and is looking for his adventure buddy/family to go through life with! Chico was found roaming around a neighborhood along the Texas/Mexico border. Unfortunately, there are thousands of strays in this area, and it is very normal to have dogs hanging out on the corners, looking for scraps, water and just some place to lay down. A good Samaritan noticed Chico (and a few other dogs) close to her home just roaming around for a couple weeks, and decided she wanted to help them. Matilda and Chico are 2 of the many dogs our rescue has stepped up to help her with. Chico was hanging around the area for about 2-3 months before she took him in in early December of 2025, when it was just too cold for him to be out there. Chico was a little shy at first, but it didn’t take him long to show his big personality. He is an active boy that loves to play and romp around the yard. He loves to stretch his legs and chase the other dogs around the yard. Chico needs a more active home, one that will provide plenty of exercise. Not only is Chico active, but he is also very smart and would do best with activity games to work with (where he must look for his treats or similar) to give him some challenges. He loves playing with toys, especially stuffed ones where he can dig the squeaker out and squeak it until it can squeak no more. The next best thing is making sure the cotton is all out of the toy and leaving it everywhere for the foster to pick up, this is definitely in his top 5 favorite things. He enjoys bones and balls also. Really anything that will keep him busy and enjoying himself. He is mostly crate trained unless he is left alone too long, then he does have an accident, but not on purpose. Chico is great with children but due to his activity level, we do recommend slightly older children because he is very playful and known to jump sometimes when he gets his happy zoomies. He loves his walks and going exploring! He is very curious and always up to see new things. As you can see in the video, Chico had no problems with having a bath done and if anything, he is probably one of the better-behaved dogs we have seen getting a bath! If you’re looking for a very smart, curious, energetic, playful, and loving adult dog that just needs a family to call his forever one, please consider Chico. Chico will be neutered, he is current on age-appropriate vaccinations including parvo/distemper, bordatella and the rabies vaccine. He is heart worm negative, dewormed, microchipped, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport. To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Story
Autumn and Spring are 2 gorgeous shihtzu/Bassett mixes that have not had the best life. Autumn and Spring are sisters who were born to a shihtzu mom and a Bassett dad. Ow. We said the same thing. As far as we know, these 2 are the only ones from the litter and the owners kept them, but they were not in a good situation. Thankfully, we were able to get them out of their outside kennels where they received little attention and bare minimums, and into a home where they are loved and being well cared for until their forever homes come. These sisters were born April 25, 2025, so are under 1 year of age! Both have wire hire like a shihtzu, and bodies like Bassetts. They are NOT bonded. They are crate trained and despite being outside their whole lives, are doing wonderfully with house training! Spring and Autumn are working on leash training, and both are such good sports. They are so friendly, loving, great girls. They both would do great with children. Autumn and Spring love other dogs and would do great with them in the house, or without. They have also met cats, as you can see in the video, and they have no issues with indoor kitties. Autumn – 24 lbs – Full grown – Dark Brindle and White – Sheds less – More playful and outgoing – Would do great for a more active home – Loves to give kisses – Loves belly rubs – Loves cuddling and will sleep in bed with you - Very Happy Spring – 21 lbs – Full grown – Lighter Brindle and White – Sheds minimal – More Calm – Would love a home that is quieter and more laid back – loves to cuddle and will sleep anywhere next to you. Very Gentle and sweet. Docile. Would love a chill home. Both girls are so perfect in their own ways. Please consider giving them a chance at home forever. They are spayed, current on rabies, parvo distemper, bordatella, lepto vaccines. Both are heart worm tested NEGATIVE and microchipped. They are current on bravecto, heartgard and dewormer. Autumn and Spring have received as of 4/8/26 a clean bill of health from a veterinarian.
