Story
Hello! I’m Sabrina, a lively five-year-old pitbull and blue heeler mix. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and I’m currently thriving in my foster home, soaking up new experiences like a sponge! I’m friendly with both cats and dogs, as long as we have the right introductions. You can’t miss my charming smile and my adorable blocky head! My favorite activities include evening strolls, chasing after balls, enjoying car rides, snuggling up on the bed, and showering my humans with kisses. On the flip side, I’m not too keen on sharing my squeaky toys, taking medicine, or getting my nails trimmed, but I’m making progress and getting used to it all. I’ve mastered commands like sit, stay, leave it, no touch, down, off, shake, and up. I’m an energetic girl who also loves to cuddle and can stay calm in a crate or kennel, though I’d much rather be curled up on a big, fluffy blanket on the bed. Food and I are best friends and I’m learning to share my toys. I thrive on attention and am a quick learner, so I’m on the lookout for a forever home that will be patient and continue my training. Could that be you? Please fill out an application:   https://form.jotform.com/60136667457159   ##1874262##

Story
Hi! I’m Willy! I am a one-year-old, neutered, 45-pound, medium-energy, medium-length-coat German Shepherd mix.I am a friendly and relaxed dog with a playful and clever nature. I have a moderate amount of energy and I am up to date with my vaccinations. From the beginning, my life has been tough. I was mistreated by my previous owner, and my fellow dog siblings chewed off the tips of my ears, probably because I am more submissive. Despite this, I've coped well. I'm a shy boy and will require your guidance and support. I will always look to you for direction and rely on your support. I'm a very tolerant and the bestest boy! I want a confident sibling like my foster mom's American Bulldog Blend. I'm cautious but open to new experiences and people. I need patient and consistent humans who encourage and support me. When I crave your attention and need some affection, I'll roll over and expose my belly. Those who meet my craving for a delicious snack gain my favor. I will swivel my head from side to side whenever I hear an intriguing sound. I’m skilled at engaging in conversations and providing valuable suggestions that I consider worthwhile. I want to show you affection and shower you with kisses.I know the following commands: sit, down, crate, come, off, and HAPPY!  I enjoy both relaxing at home and playing outside. I particularly enjoy going for walks, especially with a confident dog friend. Additionally, I am crate trained and find comfort in my crate when I need some time to myself. Story
Please meet Amber. She’s your next best friend Amber is a very sweet and loving dog who has an icy stare that will make you melt. She is well behaved and trained in the basic commands. She would love a running buddy but she’s perfectly fine chasing children or gremlins around! She is crate trained and can be left for 6-8 hours at a time, and she will signal if she wants to go outside. She also thinks she’s the size of a chihuahua so don’t be surprised if she comes to try and sit in your lap. She loves to be cuddled and treated like a big baby. And if you don’t pet her enough she’ll let you know as she can be a talker haha. But in the sweetest way. She would love a family that is missing that one piece to tie their family together. A wonderful family dog. Best part of Amber she still acts like a puppy but you don’t have to do any of the work like a puppy. She comes fully trained haha. She’d love to meet you and become the protector of the family as she also is a fantastic guard dog. She wouldn’t hurt a fly BUT she’s got a bark that means business. Story
Frankie is a 3 year old female pit mix and 50 lbs. She is a wonderful hiker and greets other dogs with respect. She gets along well with our relatives larger and smaller dogs. She also gets along great with our cats that like to snuggle her. Frankie is crate trained and house trained. Frankie was adopted from Texas. Unfortunately, her owner is experiencing chronic health issues that damper her exercise . She would thrive with an active family and would probably enjoy another dog companion. If you’re interested in giving her a loving home, please respond.

Story
About PepperPepper is a loving, intelligent, and playful herding dog who is looking for a patient and understanding forever family. Despite his herding breed background, Pepper has a laid-back personality at home, outside of playtime or long walks in outdoors, and enjoys relaxing or soaking up affection from his favorite humans. Pepper was adopted on October 22, 2023, and has been a cherished part of his current family. He’s a naturally sweet boy who adores toys, games, and treats, as well as tummy rubs and quiet adventures. Whether he’s exploring an empty park, sniffing along a quiet trail, or chasing his favorite toys, Pepper’s enthusiasm for the little things in life is contagious. He has an adorable big smile when he’s playing, a sharp nose for exploring, and excellent hearing that keeps him aware of his surroundings. Pepper’s Daily Routine Crate Training: Pepper is crate-trained and very well-behaved when asked to go to his crate. He can relax there for hours when needed. Feeding Habits: Pepper grazes and sometimes needs a little encouragement to finish his meals. He does best with patient humans who understand his quirks, and he never says no to high-value treats! Favorite Activities: Playing with toys, sniffing and exploring new places, receiving tummy rubs, and spending quality time with his people. He loves exploring outdoors and can go on long walks that have plenty of nature for him to sniff and smile through Pepper’s Personality and NeedsPepper is a wonderful companion who warms up quickly to people, but his anxious nature makes him easily overwhelmed by other dogs. He is leash-reactive and will bark when other dogs come near, not out of aggression but from fear and a desire to protect himself. While he’s made progress with training, he will need continued, consistent support from an adopter who is experienced with reactive dogs or willing to learn. Pepper is currently taking Fluoxetine (Prozac) to manage his anxiety. You can consult with a veterinarian to reassess his medication usage or dosage, especially if a more suitable alternative is found or if he no longer requires it after ongoing training contributes to his progress. He thrives in a quiet, low-stress environment where he can decompress and enjoy life without frequent encounters with other dogs. Apartment living has been challenging for him, as he enjoys long walks or time outdoors, so a home with a private yard or in a less dog-heavy area would be ideal. Pepper has no bite history and shows no aggression toward people, but he values his personal space. He prefers not to be touched by strangers, although he has been successfully muzzle-trained to make vet visits and grooming easier. Training and ProgressPepper has worked with professional trainers and a canine behaviorist to address his reactivity and leash manners. While his journey is ongoing, he’s shown great potential with the right guidance. He knows how to walk at a distance from other dogs but struggles when they come too close. With time, love, and patience, Pepper’s confidence can continue to grow. The Perfect Home for PepperPepper will thrive in a calm, understanding home with adopters who are dedicated to continuing his training. A family with no other pets would be the best fit, as Pepper needs space to feel safe and secure. A private yard, quiet neighborhood, or rural setting would be a dream for this sweet boy. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and love to your life, Pepper is ready to meet you.  Ready to Meet Pepper?Pepper’s future family will need to be committed to helping him feel safe and supported, but the bond you’ll share with this special boy will be worth every effort.  Apply for him here: ##1838028##

Story
Pepper came to us at 1 year old because her owner couldn’t take care of her. We already had 4 other dogs so made the decision to foster her. She is scared of women at first (we believe she was abused by the old owner), so she can be extremely skittish, but once she warms up to you she is an absolute lover. She really enjoys running around the yard and going on walks. Unfortunately she is not doing well behaviorally with our dogs and needs a home she can have one on one time with. She would thrive in a calmer environment, she doesn’t like loud noises. Unsure of how she is with kids as she hasn’t been in that situation but she is not aggressive towards people at all and has never bitten someone. I would love to find her a home where she will be loved and taken care of and happy.
