I found frosty at a kennel and instantly fell in love, after working with him everyday for a few months I finally took him home. I took him in as a foster, but overtime have realized he deserves someone who can spend more time with him and more time training him. He is four years old, and only knows a few basic tasks that I have taught him. He was found in California, locked in a backyard with his mother, he had no clue how to play with toys, play with other dogs, and never had a place he felt safe enough to relax. Over the last few months he’s been amazing with my dog and every dog he’s come into contact with, and has been good with people as long as he’s introduced right. He’s become very protect of me and my family and has issues with being alone with other people. I feel he would be a perfect “one person” dog, and amazing guard dog.

Meet Tank! A cuddly, loving, and playful chihuahua and (we believe) Terrier mix. Tank loves play time, cuddles, and tagging along in any adventure. Tank has been raised with his Dalmatian brother Ash and Cat sister Luna. Unfortunately, Ash needs a deep, firm voice with commands and it scares Tank too much. We find that he stays scared inside of his kennel for quite a while after. With their care needs being so different, we know it’s best to find him a new family. He does great with kids and other animals. Tank is slow to warm up, as you’d expect from a chihuahua, but once he does he’s an amazing companion. Adopting Tank comes with his Kennel, Bed, Toys, Jacket, Dog Shoes, Food, Microchip Info, and and Health Checkup at Vetco upon adoption.

Klondike is the bestest Husky that ever did Husky! He's funny, playful, goofy, and energetic, BUT, he also loves a good chill and snuggle session. He loves walks, enrichment, and playing in the pool. He really enjoys other dog buddies, and is learning to play appropriately (he can be a bit exuberant at times, but is coming along well). Meet Clifford. His road to POOCH was a bit meandering and bumpy. HE’s experienced a lot of different environments in his 11 short months of life. First found as a stray in California, he went into the shelter system, was pulled into a rescue, then went to an adult prison dog program where he was trained for a few months before being adopted to a home in Oregon. His adoptive home did not end up being a good fit through no fault of his own. When Cliff first came to us he was very scared and shut down. We are watching him blossom as he interacts with his doggy friend, Vivienne. The youth are slowly building trust and rapport with him. Cliff is starting to show some interest in toys. He’s got his sit, stay, and down cues dialed, and he walks well on a leash. Characteristics: Shy & nervous at first Gains confidence from his dog friends, especially Vivienne Likes to play with other dogs Does not like hugging THINGS TO BE AWARE OF Has been bounced around from a shelter to a rescue to a prison program in California to an adopted home and now to POOCH. He WILL need time to settle into a new home and know that his life isn’t going to be upended again. Could do really well with another dog in the home to continue to learn from and gain confidence from. He and Vivienne could be good buddies together if you are looking for two dogs. Morgan is such a good and loving boy who loves to learn and is eager to please. Fetch is his favorite thing in the world and he will do anything for the ball! He really needs a home where he can run and exercise. A fenced yard is a must, a farm would be amazing for him. He also needs mental stimulation as he is incredibly smart and intelligent and can learn things quickly with someone willing to put the time in. He is not treat-motivated but I have had really good success using the ball as a training reward and motivator. He is loving and affectionate and loyal. He makes an excellent outdoor adventures companion and would thrive with someone active who will take him out in the car and for hikes or runs. He is a happy and excited boy who loves life and loves his humans. Someone familiar with active and intelligent dogs who understands his energy and mental stimulation needs would be best.
