Story
We adopted this sweet girl 2 years ago. She's a real people lover, but is not a fan of other dogs. She is ok with our cat (though she will steal the cat's food) but wants to chase off any other cats. We were told she traveled well and had no issues going on adventures, like camping trips. It turns out that's not true. She gets nervous when traveling and thinks she needs to bark at every dog that passes by. I think a confident owner could train this out of her. Both my husband and I have health issues that make walking her difficult. She loves to fetch and play with her soccer balls! Since she's an older lady, she is also content to lounge around for some of the day. As far as we know, she is approximately 9 years old. We are hoping to find her a loving home, with a huge yard or acreage where she can frolic the rest of her days!

Story
Duke Silver is a 7 yr old pure-bread golden retriever (with papers). He is microchipped and neutered. Duke is an easy-going, family friendly companion that our family has loved dearly since bringing him home as a puppy. Our current living situation isn't ideal to give him the time and attention he requires as a social dog. We are hoping to find the right home for him--one that could allow him to be indoors with the owner and be exercised regularly. Duke loves to swim and play fetch in the water with sticks, but he has terrible recall. He is a trainable dog--I'm sure this can be fixed with the right training. Doesn't get along with German Shepherds, and cats have been a hit and miss. He's wonderful with children! We are also rehoming another golden retriever (3yrs), Burt Macklin. He is listed separately. The dogs could go to the same home or different homes.
We'll also keep you updated on Burt Macklin's adoption status with email updates.
