Story
Galileo 🐶 is a young American Shelter dog and a longer-term resident eagerly awaiting his forever family. While initially timid and sometimes hesitant in new situations, Galileo has blossomed into a silly, playful pup 🤪 who loves to engage with people. He knows "sit," "shake," and "down," and is highly treat-motivated, making training a breeze. He walks well on leash, though he can be a bit of a puller, especially when excited! He is easily redirected with treats and verbal cues. Galileo enjoys exploring and sniffing on walks 🐾 and has shown improvement in his confidence and comfort levels. It is important to note that Galileo does have some prey drive and can have escaping tendencies, so a securely fenced yard/ home would be ideal for this big boy 🏡. He also has some handling sensitivities and will do best with an adopter(s) who understands and respects his boundaries when he communicates them. Galileo is affectionate and energetic boy and is sure to bring lots of love and laughter to his forever home ❤️. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 86.25 Age: 2yrs 8mths 3wks

Story
Hi everybody, I'm Toffee, and I've been waiting patiently for my forever home. 💖 I'm a sweet and energetic 6-year-young Pitbull type mix with a heart full of love to give. I've been a long-term resident here, and I'm really hoping to find a family to call my own.🏡I absolutely adore long walks where I can explore all the fascinating smells and playtime is my jam! 🐾 I love chasing toys and showing off my impressive zoomies. Don't let my age fool you - I've got plenty of energy and enthusiasm! I'm also very treat-motivated and know a great "sit", "down" and even "leave it" command.(It's worth noting that I do have a prey drive, so a home without small animals would be best.)I'm looking for a loving home with kids 8 years old and up. I'm a big, strong girl and while I'm super affectionate, I can get a little excited/ rowdy during play. Older kids who understand dog body language would be the perfect playmates for me. Even better, I'd thrive in an active home where we can go on adventures together! Think hiking, exploring new sniff spots, and anything that gets us out and about - I'm up for the challenge! Backyard playtime is fun, but I'm looking for a family who can offer me more if they are able. ⛰️If you're looking for an active, affectionate companion who will greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile every single day, please come meet me! I'm ready to shower you with love and finally start my new life. ❤️ Primary Color: Tricolor Weight: 74 Age: 6yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Meet Sleepy! He has been patiently searching for his forever home since November, making him one of our longer-term residents! 🏡This guy is one of the goofiest, silliest pitbull mixes you'll ever meet! He is full of energy and loves to romp around with his favorite toys. He's got a big, goofy grin that's sure to melt your heart. You might see him mouthing on his blankets while he's here; this is a self-soothing technique that helps him cope with stress. Food enrichment toys such as lick mats (under supervision) and hard chew bones are another great way for him to get his energy out! 🐾 Our veterinarian has noted a heart murmur and some signs of dental disease, both of which can be discussed further with your regular veterinarian - we definitely don't want to steer you away from this lovebug! ✨Sleepy is dog selective, so he'll need a home where he can be the star of the show or have careful, proper and controlled introductions to any potential furry siblings. He's looking for an active family who can keep up with his playful antics and provide him with plenty of love and attention. He knows "sit" and "shake," takes treats gently, and enjoys pets! He's friendly with people, greeting them with a wagging tail and little or no jumping. 🐾If you're ready for endless laughter and a whole lot of love, Sleepy might be the perfect pup for you! 💘 Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 65 Age: 6yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Hermes is a top dog with a heart of gold! This intelligent, affectionate, and gentle boy has been a longer-term resident with us since December and is ready to find his forever family. 💕 He's a sweet guy and a real cuddler, he will happily lean in for affection once he is comfortable and has appropriately met everyone! After he's gotten his energy out for the day, he's happiest just hanging out and cuddling with his loved ones. Hermes still has that youthful dog energy and enjoys walks, playing fetch, and has even trotted happily alongside his person for short distances. 🐾He's eager to learn and already knows several commands, including sit, stay, and almost lay down. He's also a champ on leash (harness attached)! He's currently working on his door manners, learning to wait patiently, sit while leashing/ unleashing, and wait for his people to enter the house before him. Because of his desire to be with his people, he'd do best with a person or family who is home more often than not and a home with children over 8 years of age. Meet Stokes! This handsome 2.5-year-old pit bull mix is ready to find his forever home. Stokes might be a little reserved when you first meet him, but don't let that fool you! He's a friendly and affectionate guy who warms up quickly and loves to play. He enjoys making new human friends and is always up for an adventure. We're still getting to know Stokes and learning about his interactions with other dogs, so his new family will play a role in helping us understand his social preferences. We can discuss strategies for introducing him to other dogs in your home during the adoption process. Stokes has a condition called entropion, which our Animal Health team is currently treating. Our adoption counselors can provide you with all the details about his care and treatment plan. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Stokes might just be the perfect addition to your family! Primary Color: Brown Merle Secondary Color: White Weight: 76.1875 Age: 2yrs 6mths 3wks
