Story
Good with adults? Yes Good with kids? Unknown Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? Unknown House trained? Yes Crate Trained? Yes Energy Level? Medium Barker? Yes About Dobby: Sweet little Dobby is still very much a young, energetic puppy at heart. She loves to run and play, and doing her little zoomies, but she is also content to sit with you and snuggle as well. Dobby is a bit nervous of new people, but once she warms up to you, she loves to play and cuddle, and will curl up in your lap for a snooze. She barks at new people, especially men, out of fear and will need some gentle reassurance and patience to show her that people can be trusted. Dobby absolutely loves to play with other dogs! She is very submissive, but she is still very young and full of energy so playing with dogs that can match her energy is best. Dobby would love to have another confident dog in the home to learn from but is also okay being an only doggo. Dobby is learning to enjoy walks and walks well on a leash but is a bit nervous of loud noises still. Dobby is pad trained and is very consistent using her puppy pads. With some training, she could be transitioned to going outside to do her business. Dobby is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. Dobby is still very much a puppy that loves to play with toys and is very eager to learn. She is looking for a loving and patient family that will love on her, give her endless cuddles and lots of toys to play with! ***Woof.. Please know that the rescue has posted all the information that they have on me here. As my foster family gets to know me they will post updates, so please check back! If you are interested in me please fill out an application at www.petsaliveniagara.ca/adopt and one of my friends will get back to you within 2 to 5 business days.***"

*This dog is located in the Niagara area*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*Hey yall, Im Otis! One of my hobbies is napping, whether it be on your carpet or in your lap. I weigh 76 lbs, but weighted blankets are a thing these days right!? I love being outdoors but short walks are my thing as I get tired easily. I would like to say that Im a total love bug once I get to know you! Otis has embarked on a board & train program following minor bite incidents so that we could learn more about how we can help Otis succeed and become a well-balanced and confident dog. From Otis' trainer:After working with Otis in our board and train program we have discovered he is not an aggressive dog. Otis is nervous, sensitive and fearful. Mainly to new people and loud noises. He needs an owner who will continue his training. He has learnt place, leash walking, crate training, sit, recall, release command, waiting at thresholds and waiting for food. Otis responds well to a calm, confident leader and is already e-collar and muzzle trained! He needs someone to help with his decision making and continue to use his tools to assist him in that. He is not a high energy dog so the walks and keeping his training up is all he needs. Otis will also need an owner who advocates for him, so that means making sure not to let strangers walk up on him. He is unsure of loud noises and even the vacuum cleaner. We continue to teach Otis how to walk away when he feels nervous instead of becoming defensive. This is another example of advocating for him. His new must be stepping in when he feels nervous and getting him to a place where he feels confident and safe. Otis is looking to put his bite history in the past. We are confident with the right owner he will be successful and make a wonderful companion!Name: Otis Weight: ~76lbsAge ~6.5 yearsGender: MaleBreed: American bulldog mixColour: WhiteMedical: Skin cancer removal on genital area. Story
*This dog will be transported to Grimsby, Ontario once an adoptive home is found*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Glory was surrendered to our partner in Texas last year after she was originally abandoned at a vet's office. She is a senior gal, likely in the 8-10 year range, though we can't be certain of her actual age. She has some vision loss but sees well enough to move easily from room to room and around the yard. She comes when called and wants nothing more than to sit on your lap. Glory loves to eat and mealtime is her absolute favourite. They say that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but with Glory's food motivation, you just might! She currently sleeps in bed with her foster mom and is the first one to give gently kisses in the morning, signaling its time to get up. With her diminished vision, she is a bit cautious around new smells and environments. She does well in her foster's house with dogs ranging from 4lb to 190lb, except for one little fully blind Pomeranian who she will literally search out to tussle with. She is smart, affectionate, feisty and fun. She is a very sweet little senior pup!Adoption fee: $450 Ideal Home: The ideal home would be a retired person or couple- home all the time who are looking for a snuggle bug who is fairly low maintenance.Name: GloryBreed: Chihuahua mix Age: ~8-10 years Weight: ~10lbSex: FemaleColour: Brown/blackMedical: Missing teeth, occasional cough due to collapsing trachea Good with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-11: No, due to vision loss Good with kids 12+: YesGood with dogs: Yes, happy to co-exist with other dogsGood with cats: Unknown, no exposure - but possibly House trained: 90% Crate trained: She will settle, but she has somehow figured out how to escape a crate at one point Resource guarding: None seen Walks on a leash: Needs to learn, as she is only used to exploring the yard Energy level: Low-medium Requires detached/single home: No Separation anxiety: Mild - if she knows her foster mom is home, she wants to be with her Barker: Average

Story
This is Bepsi. He is a young puppy that was found alone in the rain in Northern Manitoba. When he was saved, he was severely injured, with a massive abscess above his right eye. He was taken to the emergency vet, where it was drained and cleaned, but unfortunately he also suffered a fractured skull. It is presumed that he was attacked by a much larger dog. Bepsi is missing the right half of his brain and will be a special needs dog who may have a limited ability to do normal 'dog' things but still deserves all the love. He loves car rides, chewing and baths. He cannot play normal games like fetch or tug of war but put a toy in his mouth and let him spin and he will have a blast. He loves cuddles and playing with other dogs who can be delicate with him. Due to his traumatic brain Injury he obsessively spins and will require special care for the term of his life. He needs reminders sometimes to stop spinning. You can pick him up, hug him, hold him or give him a toy to chew on in bed. He responds to clicking or snapping sounds to help stop spinning or move him forward. Baby gates, supervision and safety protocols are advised. His life span is not suspected to be affected. Good with men: yesGood with women: yesGood with kids 0-6: noGood with kids 6+: yesGood with dogs: yes, but with supervision because he doesnt have the reflexes or awareness to move out of their way if they are running Good with cats: yes, Cat friends are perfect for him because they can play with him without restraint or worry of sizing or hurting him.House trained: yes, but has frequent incontinence due to traumatic brain damage. Requires diapers or pee pads and frequent potty breaks. Requires consistent skin care to avoid break down or urine burns due to incontinence.Crate trained: yesResource guarding: noWalks on a leash: he gets tangled easily due to spinning, gets exercise by other means.Energy level: lowRequires detached/single home: noSeparation anxiety: cannot be left alone for long term. When he is left alone for short terms, he shows no sign of separation anxiety Barker: lowIdeal Home: someone who works from home or can be home with him throughout the day. Doesnt require much space. Would be a great ride along buddy for a driver or if he could attend work with owner.Medical:Bepsi is missing the right half of his brain and requires special needs care in areas stated above. He may require ongoing medication to assist with relaxing or reduction of spinning.

*This dog is scheduled to arrive in Grimsby, Ontario on Saturday, March 22, 2025*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Meet this sweet, easygoing girl! Likely used for breeding in her past, she has since embraced the comforts of home life. She enjoys her crate, often retreating there for cozy naps, and happily trots inside at mealtime. A total sweetheart, she loves affection but is just as content to relax. While shes low-maintenance, she thrives on her daily walks, waddling down the street like the adorable little meatball she is. She is fostered with multiple dogs and has done well with everyone. However, she has barked at the very big dogs if she is in her crate and they pass by her. She has done just fine going on walks with them, and we think she just needs time to feel safe with bigger dogs. We think that Chloe would thrive in a home that is not super busy and without small kids. With her happy, loving nature, shes truly a gem of a dog!Name: ChloeBreed: French BulldogAge: ~7 years Weight: ~25lbSex: Female, spayedColour: Brindle Medical: Her ears have some hardened cartilage, as she had terrible ear infections when she was rescued and they were banged up from shaking her head so much. She has been treated for the the ear infections and eye infection. Chloe has dry eyes and needs eye drops (currently using Optixcare Eye Lube) to keep her comfortable. Good with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-6: Not testedGood with kids 6+: Not tested, but would say yes based on temperament Good with dogs: Yes, but best with small and medium sized dogs, although she does warm up to the bigger dogs (Great Pyr, GSD and Newfie) Good with cats: Not tested House trained: 90% Crate trained: YesResource guarding: None seen Walks on a leash: Yes Energy level: MediumRequires detached/single home: NoSeparation anxiety: None noted Barker: Average

Read about our adoption process on our website. This little 16-pound Pug mix is full of personality! Found abandoned, Jameson has blossomed into a fun-loving, energetic pup who adores belly rubs, zoomies, and being carried around like the prince he is.Jameson is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Hes currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which will be completed prior to adoption. He does well with people and other dogs and would love a playful canine companion in his forever home, though not required. He can be mouthy at times so kids with dog experience would be best. Leash walks are exciting for Jameson - he is learning to walk nicely, as he wants to zoom around! Hes about 90% house-trained and is working on crate training. He does guard his food from other dogs, so he eats in his crate to prevent further guarding or any incidents. With his high energy and playful nature, Jameson would thrive in an active home that can give him plenty of love, exercise, and, of course, belly rubs!
