***SPECIAL ADOPTION FEE ***- also open to foster to adoptLocated in St. CatherinesHi I'm Bea (short for bea-utiful, I'm sure) and that's not the most interesting thing about me! Let's start with my love for cuddles and learning new things. Are you looking for a gentle giant to share cuddles with? I'm the gal for you! Want to learn ASL? I can teach you! Well, ok maybe not quite...but foster mom has been learning ASL so she can teach me (due to my hearing impairment) and I'm such a fast learner that I know all sorts of fun words and commands! I LOVE the company of humans, and you might say that I prefer two-legged to four-legged. Because of my hearing impairment, I can get surprised by other animals so I would thrive as the only pet for you to lavish your attention on. And why wouldn't you? ♥️You know how they say when one sense is gone, the others increase….well, I don't want to brag but I think I have the best nose around town, and just because I can't hear doesn't mean I don't love to talk! I am quite vocal, FM says I have an entire symphony of funny sounds and noises I can make (for that reason, I might not be made out for apartment/condo living). That's ok though, I love playing outside and in the yard. My current backyard is a safe place for me to chase the bugs. I will provide you with endless entertainment as you watch me prance around, before we settle down for a cuddle sesh.A couple of things my forever family should know: with my impairment, I need time to adjust to new things. I tend to not turn away from new things like dogs, cats, rabbits and squirrels as I need to keep my eyes on them. If they don't make the first move, I will begin backing away. I can also get anxious if I am left alone, but like I said I just looooove my humans so much! This is something that we'll need to work on together (along with teaching me that I don't always need to make noise to get attention) but I know you know that I'm worth it :)Let’s get to know one another, I know my perfect home is out there for me. If you like what you see, click on that adopt button! Love BeaXO

Story
Hi, my name is Charlie, and I was so happy to become part of the HBR Family but now I'm ready to find my furever home! I'm still just a puppy and have a lot of energy, but I also love staying in with my foster family and cuddling. I absolutely love people of all sizes and shapes, and playing with my foster doggie brother. My idea of the most fun day would start off with a play-wrestling session with my foster fur brother, playing with all of my chew toys, and then cuddling with my family. Can you believe that I was found as a stray in some rough shape? As you can see, I am now doing amazing - I've gained weight and grown lots of soft new fur. I am already fully crate trained and will snooze away in my safe spot until you come back home. Did I mention that I love people?? The best day was when I got to go to work with my foster mom. Everyone told me that I am "such a good boy".I can be a little bit unsure in new and unfamiliar situations, but I am learning every day and I would love to keep learning basic training with my new family. I am easily motivated with a few treats - we are currently avoiding chicken due to some skin issues I had when HBR first brought me in.I am looking for a forever family that will continue to support me as I grow, and give me lots of love.Hoping to meet you soon!*Charlie may not be suited to condos or apartments, or have an adopter who is willing to work on training if noise is a concern, as he does bark at strange sounds.*located in Churchill

Story
Hi everyone I am Salma,I am a sweet older gal who is looking for a place to retire and just feel safe. I had spent many years as a puppy mill momma but I have gladly left those times behind. HBR has been helping me work on finding my groove and not be so scared of everything. I currently have some furry foster siblings who are about the same size as me and I kinda like them being around so I can learn how to feel safe. But more about me, I have been working hard with my foster mom to feel safe and she is helping me understand that there is nothing to be afraid of anymore. I am starting to feel confident at my foster home and I feel like I can do just as good if not better at my new home!Because I am so shy I would do best with a single adult or couple, kids moving around fast really startle me ( I know I am sad too). My dream home would be with a fur sibling or two with my own secure backyard, as much as I want to learn about the world, I am not the best around to many new things at once. *Focus will be on a home that can provide Salma with the peace, quiet, patience, and love she so needs to quell her anxiety. Anything new frightens her.

***COMING SOON***Hi, my name is Acorn! I’m just beginning my new life after spending my years as a breeding mama in a puppy mill. Everything is new to me, but I’m learning fast! I’m already crate trained and working hard on my housetraining. So far, I am trained to use pee pads and I am slowly working up the courage to brave the snow and cold outside. I like to watch my foster family to see what they are doing and my foster dog sister and I share sniffs and tail wags, I think we are going to be good friends.I’ll be ready to find my forever family soon, stay tuned!

COMING SOON- Once available he will be posted to those on our English Bulldog wait listHowdy! My name's Ziggy and I'm one of the gentlest teddy bears you'll ever meet. I came into foster care just a few weeks ago in pretty rough shape but my nourishment and figure is getting back to 100% thanks to my hefty appetite. I have some sores and rashes being actively treated which are getting better every day too; you should see how good I am at taking my ointments and baths! Once I'm back to my completely healthy self I'll be ready for my neutering and a bit of required dental work.
