Story
Meet Speckles (aka Spot) a 2 year old Australian Shepherd mix that is being fostered in Stilwell, OK! Speckles would make a great companion to any forever home! Speckles would be great sports dog but can Netflix & Chill with the best of them! Speckles loves all people and has potential to be trained to be a therapy dog as he has a very calm demeanor and is easy to work with. Speckles loves puzzles and chew bones! He’ll need reinforced training as he has selective hearing at time! Speckles is a incredibly sweet dog and and deserves a loving FUREVER home! Speckles can be placed in a home with FEMALE dogs but due to his high prey drive Speckles will NOT be placed in a home with small animals like cats. If he sounds perfect for you, here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoptions There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
OSCAR NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! HE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR 6 1/2 YEARS! Oscar is an approximately 7-year old pit bull mix who weighs around 70 lbs. Oscar was found abandoned in the country during the winter. He was found out in the cold, emaciated, lugging a huge chain around his neck. He is now healthy and ready for his forever home. Oscar loves to play with toys and he loves people! He loves going on walks and getting to say hi to everyone he passes. Oscar is also big into cuddling! He’d do well with older kids but not as well with small children since he's large and we wouldn't want him to knock them down accidentally. Oscar would like a home where he has an active family to occupy him and a backyard with a stockade fence. He is such a sweet boy who just needs someone to give him a chance at a life with love and a family. He would do best as the only dog in the home. Oscar needs a home with an individual or family who has had experience with large, strong dogs. Oscar LOVES to go on car rides and rides well in a car! And especially if you are taking him for a Puppuccino! He is all about that! Oscar is leash and crate-trained. He has probably never lived in a home before so most likely he will need assistance with house training although he does keep his kennel clean. Oscar is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. His adoption fee is $225. If you would like to adopt Oscar and make him a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com Oscar is in a boarding situation, so he is eligible to be a foster-to-adopt or foster dog! Story
This sweet girl is Pepper. She is an approximately 6 year old. She is a Terrier/Cattle Dog mix who weighs 45 lbs. Pepper loves her people. She is loyal and your #1 best friend. She really would love a home where she got to spend her time being with her person. Pepper can be playful and loves to run around the yard playing with her toys. Pepper is dog selective, so she would do best as the only dog in the home. She is very loyal and will be your best friend and companion. Pepper is a pretty nervous dog when it comes to new places and new people. It can take her time to warm up in new situations. She does well in the comfort of her own home with her own people but can shut down in new environments. Pepper would like a home where she has active owners who will play with her, rub her belly, and spend time with her. Pepper has lived with older kids and did great with them (age 7-12). She adores all the kids she has meet and would make a fantastic companion. Pepper is house trained. Pepper is not a fan of her crate - she has some separation anxiety when left. She is good on a leash. Pepper is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $225. Since Pepper is in boarding, she qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just a foster. If you would like to adopt Pepper and make her a part of your family, please apply at www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application If you would like to foster Pepper, apply at www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application

Story
This adorable guy is Mason! He is an approximately 4-year old, Mastiff/Pointer mix who weighs around 80 lbs. He is a short stocky guy – a total goofball! Mason is a special needs kid as he is completely deaf. Otherwise, he is a funny, energetic, playful boy like any other dog. Mason absolutely loves to play! He would play all day if he could. He loves toys and he especially loves other dogs. He loves to put everything in his mouth so you will definitely need to watch this little cutie and teach him about toys vs shoes. Mason will require a securely fenced yard with a 6 ft. fence. Because he is deaf, he cannot hear another dog correct him with a growl so he is going to need a home with another dog who is kind, patient, and playful! He will need an active family who can spend lots of time with him and give him plenty of exercise. Mason is house-trained to a doggy door. He will adjust without one, but accidents might happen at first. He is crate and leash trained. Mason is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $225. He will require another dog, a fenced yard, an approved application, and a home visit for adoption. Therefore, only those located in OKC area will be approved. If you would like to adopt Mason and make him a part of your family, please contact ForeverYoursOKC@gmail.com.

Story
This goofy love bug is Steve! He is an approximately 4-year old American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix (guessing) who just loves to love! He weighs around 65 lbs. If you are looking for someone to always be excited to see you, Steve is your guy! He wants to be by your side at all times for pets and love. Steve came to be with us after he was thrown out of a window on the highway. Despite this, he absolutely adores car rides! His favorite games are Frisbee, fetch and most of all tug of war! Playtime is a must so he can get that energy out for proper snuggles. He is very treat motivated and learns fairly quickly. He is crate and house trained and does best on a schedule. He loves chew toys and big bones! He has been doing great with other dogs he has met on outings with his trainer. He is a bit of a clumsy guy at times so a home without small children that can be knocked over would be best. He does his very best to always be gentle but those darn paws try to get in his way! He has his quirks, but he is beyond loyal and loving! A little patience and understanding in the beginning, and you have the best companion for life with all the love and trust he can possibly give! He really is a joy and the love in his eyes when he looks at you will melt your heart! Steve has been in training for the last ten months and is making wonderful progress! The rescue will continue to pay for some training once adopted to make sure the transition is smooth. There is nothing medically wrong with his eyes. Once he has had proper exercise, Steve will sleep in his crate. He was house-trained at one time, but may need a refresher course in a new environment. He needs a Gentle Leader type harness to walk him, as he is very strong. Steve is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $225. He is currently in boarding and would love to have a foster home! He qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just a foster. If you would like to adopt Steve and make him a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com. If you would like to foster Steve, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

Story
This sweet boy is Bruno! He is an approximately 3.5-year old Pointer/Cattle Dog mix who weighs around 50 lbs. Bruno was adopted as a puppy but returned at 10 months old. The family felt he was too much energy for an apartment and that he needed a home with more time for him and a yard. Bruno is an fun loving goofy dog with plenty of playful energy. He absolutely loves to play and go for walks. He will need a yard and an active family who can spend time with him and give him daily exercise. He also really needs a family who will give him mental stimulation as well such a food puzzles, snuffle matts, and teaching him new tricks. He is a really smart dog and his main issue in his old home is just lack of time spent with him. He spent too much time in a crate and not enough time getting to run and use his brain. If you are looking for a fun dog to spend your time with, Bruno is your dog. If you are looking for a walking or running companion, Bruno is your dog. If your energetic dog needs an energetic friend, Bruno is your dog. Bruno is crate, leash, and house trained. He is good with most other dogs and has played in small groups at a daycare, but can be selective. Due to his energy, I wouldn't put him with young children but children 8 and up would be great for him. He has lived with children in the past and was fine. Bruno needs a stockade fenced backyard and to meet all dogs in the household before adoption. Bruno is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $225. If you would like to adopt Bruno and make him a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com. Bruno is in a boarding situation at this time so he qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or as just a foster. If you are interested in fostering Bruno, please complete our foster application at www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.
