🐾 Meet Domino, the darling with a delightful spot atop his head! This one-year-old charmer was brought to us by a kind-hearted soul, and now he's eagerly searching for his forever home. 🏡💕Domino's foster wanted you to know that she has taught this smart boy to shake, lay down and fetch. He does well on a leash and rides in the car like a champ. He even loves to cuddle! Domino is not a fan of the shelter environment or on-site adoption events but he shines in his foster home so that is where you can meet him! Story
Meet handsome CalAnd not only handsome, but also very well-behaved. He doesn't jump up on people, meets new friends easily and is quite a delight to be around. He was with us before, but recently returned because of his escape artists tendencies. We cannot stress enough that Cal is an ESCAPE ARTIST. He has been returned several times because he cannot be kept in. This boy is going to require someone who can think outside of the box - who will give Cal the training he needs and the attention to keep him from trying to escape. This boy loves to explore and meet new friends.Cal is about 3 1/2 years old, and is one of our Pure Mixes. No idea what his breed mix might be, except to note that his tail has the prettiest curl in it, possibly indicating some Husky in his family tree?Cal loves to play in the water and would make a great go-go dog for any active person or family. He has an athletic build and would love to be a camping, hiking, lake buddy!Cal is neutered, current on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworms, on preventives for parasites, and is ready for immediate adoption! For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at info@stephenscountyshelter.com or call us at 580-252-7387 (PETS). Our animals are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots and are treated for fleas/ticks.

Story
Sadie was with us before, in December of 2018, actually. She was adopted into a loving family, and for the past four years, life has been grand, with a loving family and other dogs to pal around with. Sadie will do best in a cat-free home. But, because of changes in her owners' living arrangements, Sadie was returned to us.Sadie is house trained, has nice manners and doesn't jump up on you or lick. Sadie knows "no" and "sit", loves to cuddle, enjoys going for a walk and does great on a leash. She is fantastic on car rides and loves to load up. Sadie does best as the only dog. She would thrive in a home with a doggie door. She does not chew on things, she is quiet and respectful. She sleeps and waits patiently for her people to wake up. She loves to walk, but she is strong and can pull if something interesting is ahead. Walker needs to be strong enough to control her in those instances. She's a little shy at first but once she approves of you, she loves you! She is not really treat motivated but LOVES praiseOur Sadie is now about 6 years old. She tested negative for heart worms, is current on vaccinations and parasite preventives, and ready for her new leash on life! For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at info@stephenscountyshelter.com or call us at 580-252-7387 (PETS). Our animals are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots and are treated for fleas/ticks.
