This sweet girl lost her family when they moved and were not able to bring her. She stayed with her owner's friends until they found a safe place for her with GPMR. She was born in December 2022.Sushi is a sweetie! She was so excited to meet her fosters Bully mix, that she was a bit much at first. After some decompression time, they’re now best buds and play all the time! Sushi also does well at reading and responding to cues when playing, or gently correcting if it’s too rough. Sushi is a bit unsure around new people, but has not shown aggression, She retreats to her kennel or to her fosters upon meeting someone new. This hopefully will get better in time but in case, she would do best in a home that doesn't constantly have visitors coming and going. She is crate trained and sleeps in her kennel at night with no issue, and is trusted inside with free roam. Sushi has a high prey drive and goes after rabbits outside and tries to chase cars when they pass (she is behind the chainlink fence so she can't get to them but can see them), so she definitely needs supervision outside. A securely fenced yard is a must for her. She likely would not do well with cats or tiny/small breed dogs given her prey drive. She is a heavy chewer but has not been destructive, she just needs age and size appropriate toys. Sushi is good with her fosters 2 kids, ages 5 years and 7 months. She is big and goofy but understands being gentle around them. She is food motivated and that has helped in crate training her. Sushi can shake and sit and is very smart. She is housebroken and has had no accidents. They are working on some manners related to counter-surfing - but again, she's food motivated so that's to be expected. Sushi loves to snuggle! She does need play/exercise time but she usually plays for about 20-30 minutes then rests for a couple of hours, so even being young and energetic, she's pretty chill for a puppy. True to the breed, she can be stubborn. They’re working on recall with her and she's consistently responsive to the foster Dad, but a bit more stubborn with her foster Mom, though she is improving. With a little patience and recognition of her age and traits that are typical for the breed, she'll be a wonderful companion to the family who adopts her. Overall, she really is a sweetheart and a great dog! Sushi is being fostered in Conway, AR. Cash is a super sweet 10-month-old male (born 1.3.24) who was an owner surrender to a shelter in South Texas for financial reasons. The owner said he is a Dou-bull Mastiff, which is supposedly a cross between an English Mastiff and Bullmastiff. We see the English Mastiff in him and he’s still a growing puppy, so maybe the Bull Mastiff will be more evident as he gets older and fills out. But so far we're not seeing it. He currently weighs about 100 lbs and will likely be around 120 + lbs when full grown. Cash takes to a crate beautifully. In fact, we think he might have spent a lot of his life in a crate because he is just now learning to be a puppy and part of a family. New people, new situations and new dogs are a bit scary for him at first, but he does warm up quickly. We’ve learned to take things slowly for him. Until he gets more comfortable, a home with either no kids or older kids and dogs that allow him to ease into playing would be best. Once he learns new people, he gets attached quickly to his family, and loves being around his people. He is enjoying playing with his 4-legged foster brother (they really play hard with each other but they both love it) and is very affectionate with his foster parents and other family members who visit that he’s grown to know. Cash is learning to walk on a leash and seems to enjoy car rides but new places like vet offices make him nervous. He loves toys, treats, dinner time and bones. He loves soft toys a bit too much - we stopped giving those to him after pieces of them would disappear. He’s still a puppy that likes to chew, so we’ve learned that bones and Kong-type toys work best for him. He knows what “crate up” means and is learning to sit and shake. He is neutered and ready for a new family that will continue to be patient in training him and teaching him new things and what a life with a loving family is all about. As we learn more about Cash, we’ll continue to update his page. Cash is being fostered in Broken Arrow, OK.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!November 25, 2024, 6:29 pm

Story
Tammy is a sweet and affectionate 7 year old mini poodle. She will likely thrive in a home where she can get plenty of attention and enjoy being the center of the action. She’s doing great with her crate at night and with consistent supervision, she should continue to improve on her potty training. She will require regular grooming. Please research this as grooming can cost $50-70 every 6-12 weeks. Please no kitties, she likes them way too much! She will make a loyal and loving companion for the right family! If interested, complete an application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org. Her adoption fee is $175. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention.

Story
Tabby is a 7 year old mini poodle who is looking for a home that will make her their center of attention. She is a bit timid at first but connects with her people very quickly. She would love to have someone to sit with all day long. She`s probably not going to do well alone. She likes other dogs and currently plays with her foster brother who is only about a year old. She will need someone that can supervise as she learns where to potty and where not to potty at her new house. She currently sleeps in a crate at night but would probably love to sleep in bed once she can be trusted out in the house. She will require regular grooming. Please research this as grooming can cost $50-70 every 6-12 weeks. If interested in her, please complete an application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org. She is spayed, current on vaccines, negative for heartworms, microchipped, and current on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175.00
