Story
Hey all, Ruthie here. I have been trying for such a long time to find my forever home. I really don't understand why I haven't. I think I'm around 3 yrs old so really a perfect age. My foster mom did this picture compare app on the computer and based on my picture, it said I'm some breed called a Entlebucher Mountain Dog! I don't know about that but it was kind of fun to see.  I'm already trained...ooh...let me tell you just how trained I am! I went to a place that had big walls and lots of people to meet and learned all kinds of commands. I think they called it Dick Conner Correctional Center and something called the STAR Inmate Training Program. I got so good that I didn't even need a leash with my trainer person, I just hung out with him all the time. It was so much fun! Even passed my test at the top of the class if I do say so myself! I was kind of sad when I left because I had so many friends there. My foster mom said that I am such a good girl that she doesn't understand why I haven't had tons of people wanting me. She said I am the most loyal, playful, people dog she has ever seen. That is true that I always want to be with my people, always! I love meeting new people and going places. According to my foster mom and the guys at the prison program, I have so many great qualities. The only thing that might be holding me back is that I need to be an only dog but let me explain why. I don't get angry with other dogs. I can go places and be around them. But I learned how to play super hard when I was young, maybe as a survival tool, and it's just too much for other dogs. I'm totally ok being with my people, in fact, I prefer it. I really would make someone a great companion dog. If you know of a person or family who might be my family, please tell them to go to my rescue's website and apply. Please? I want a home of my own....  www.carerescueok.org ##1550792##

Story
Dougie is about 2 1/2 years old, he’s a Boxer/Pug mix! Boy is he a cutie!!! He was an owner surrender due to “not able to care for him”… he was living in his crate, to eat, sleep, and potty! Dougie is a happy playful boy now! He loves toys and will carry one wherever he goes! His favorite toy is a ball and he entertains himself well! Dougie does need to be the only dog, he is a dominant boy and does not like to share toys, food, or his people. But that’s ok! Dougie will not let you down with the giggles he will create!  ##1791790##

Story
Meet Ginger, a 1-1/2 yr old Patterdale Terrier mix (we think) who weighs in at approx 35 lbs and is not big at all.  She is a sweet pup that had a very hard first part of her life. Ginger's journey with us began 6 months ago when she was abandoned while hugely pregnant at a lake area, where she gave birth under a thorn bush to 8 puppies when she was only a puppy herself. We were able to trap her and she then proved to be an excellent young mother, caring for her babies with dedication.  Now that her pups have found their homes, Ginger is ready to find her own forever family.  With her high energy and playful nature, she will bring joy and excitement to any household.  Ginger has also completed our STAR Inmate Training Program where she learned basic obedience skills.  She will need a patient person to give her time to bond, but once she does, she will be a loyal and loving companion.  Ginger also does best with another dog in the home which makes her feel more comfortable and gives her a playmate for her energy!  Ginger is eager to share her love and enthusiasm for life with a family that will give her the forever home she deserves. Story
Red is a 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Austrian Pinscher mix (guesstimate from an app!) who is aptly named because of his beautiful red coat!  He recently graduated from our STAR Inmate Training Program with high scores.  He is a true man's dog who wants to be with his person but could also be called a "lady's man" regarding the canine preference.  He does not care for other male dogs and really prefers to just be with people.  If you are looking for a solid, loyal companion dog, Red might be your guy!  Applications can be found at www.carerescueok.org! ##1941555##
