Story
Piper is a beautiful, well behaved cuddle bug. She has a lot of energy and is a very fast learner. She will require a good amount of exercise. She is house trained. She’s never been around kids or cats but she’s an angel so I could imagine that there wouldn’t be an issue. I’ve truly never met a puppy like her. Piper likes to be as close to you as possible at all times lol. she is about 6 months old. she is spayed, chipped, licensed, and has all of her shots. We would need an ASAP pickup, bowl kennel food all included!

Story
Rex is an awesome dog! Young, playful, energetic, smart, loving, affectionate, sensitive and is great with people, especially enjoys being close to his people. We are looking for an amazing, active, outdoorsy home for Rex that will embrace and cherish all the wonderfulness this boy has to offer. He was rescued from the streets of Louisiana as a pup and will make a lucky family very happy. He loves other dogs and would really love having a playmate, he also does great with kids. We do ask that if a home with kids is applying for Rex that you have a fenced yard - just as a safety precaution so the kids and Rex can enjoy the outdoors together without worrying about Rex accidentally leaving the yard. He's a puppy with that happy, curious puppy energy so some basic training and plenty of daily exercise -both mental and physical - should be expected in order to give this deserving boy the fullest, happiest life. He will also love to be by your side in whatever you're doing, he's so sweet and will make a wonderful loyal family companion. Rex is available for you to meet him in person and do a meet and greet with your family and your four-legged friend(s). Rex is up to date with vaccinations, housetrained, microchipped and neutered. His approximate weight is 50 lbs and he's around 9 months old. If interested in applying, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org We'll also consider a foster home for him if you're not ready to adopt! The application process is the same :)

Lyons, NY
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Astro is about 8 1/2 years old, and he weighs 70 pounds. This big handsome guy knows how to sit and shake for treats. Astro will probably chase cats, and may do best in a home without them. We recommend a home with older kids - 12 and up would be ideal, as Astro likes to play rough with his toys, and can be grabby with food and treats. Astro must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home to make sure they get along. * Astro qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion Program for adopters aged 50+

Story
Rosie is about 5 years old, and she weighs about 55 pounds. This cheerful, energetic girl knows how to sit and shake for treats, is housebroken, and crate trained. Rosie's previous owner writes, "Rosie is best in a home without other dogs and cats. She is not bothered by children, but can be pushy so probably best with older kids. Rosie loves to sit, lay, and sleep close to you. She looks for time each day to snuggle under a blanket by your side." * Rosie qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion Program, for approved adopters aged 50+

Lily is about 2 1/2 years old, and she weighs about 55 pounds. This sweet girl loves people, and gets attached to her human friends very quickly. Lily knows how to sit for treats, and she enjoys going for walks with our staff. Lily can be grabby with her food and treats, so we recommend caution around small children while she's eating. Lily must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home, to make sure they get along. Here at the shelter, Lily seems to enjoy being around the other dogs. * Lily has chronic skin allergies, and is currently eating a prescription diet.
