Story
Nico is a stunning 2 1/2 year old, 73 lbs Black Lab / Shepherd mix. He is being fostered in Fairfield, Ct. His foster mom says: “We have the most amazing foster dog, Nico! He is hands down the best dog we have ever had. If we didn’t already have two, we would never let him go. He has a giant beautiful ball of love ! Nico is approximately 10 months old and weighs 72 pounds. He is beautiful, friendly, playful, smart with a silky coat and soulful eyes. He loves absolutely everyone: dogs, people, children. We don’t have a cat so we can’t say how he would be. Nico has zero aggression, enormous tolerance and a very mellow, docile disposition. He is housetrained , sleeps all night, and knows a few tricks he learned in a matter of minutes. He especially loves sitting in a shady spot in the yard, long walks, beach visits, wrestling with our dogs, benebones, carrots and snuggles. He will make an amazing lifelong friend for some lucky person. “  Nico is vaccinated and microchipped. The adoption fee is $500. We require a fully fenced yard and not an invisible fence.

Story
Ricky is a truly loving and gentle soul who adores being petted and having his belly rubbed. He is a 5-6 year old handsome Shepherd mix who weighs approximately 77 lbs. Ricky is housetrained and not destructive when left at home. He loves going for walks and exploring outside. He also loves to snuggle and is calm inside the house. Ricky  is in excellent health and always greets his Foster mom with joy when she gets home. Ricky gets along with other dogs but we do not know how he would do around cats. His ideal home would be with humans who have time to spend loving him and keeping him company along with a fenced backyard.  Ricky is currently in New York City which is not an ideal living situation for a dog his size. Ricky is neutered and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. The adoption fee is $275. We require adopters to have a fully secured backyard and not electric or invisible fence which does not keep all dogs safely contained.

Story
Who will be a hero for our Herbie? He has not had an easy time in this life and is understandably unsure about trusting humans. But there is a beautiful soul behind Herbie’s amber eyes. This handsome boy just wants to feel safe and loved; he wants to build his confidence and be playful and happy! In a very special forever home, without children, cats or small animals - a larger female dog may be okay - Herbie will begin to show how smart, curious and genuinely loving he is at heart. Could you be the person or family who saves Herbie? Please adopt Herbie today! 💙💙💙 Herbie is a ~ 3 1/2-year old, 60 lbs  Shepherd/Hound mix.  He is being fostered in New Paltz, NY. He is a very active dog; and needs lots of exercise (and not in a dog run or park with other dogs), he is NOT a couch potato, so he needs a home with a 6-foot fenced backyard and active, engaged savvy dog humans.  His foster mom says : “He is completely housebroken, can follows basic commands; sit, stay, come.  He will sit and await permission before eating. He loves walks and requires a lot of exercise, I usually walk him about 4 miles a day.  He is affectionate in his own way. He will put his nose right in your face and just stay there!  He will also put his head in your lap or push it into your hand when looking for attention. Herbie doesn't love the car because he hasn't experienced it very much.” His ideal home would have another confident, friendly, playful dog friend as a role model because he is a bit shy and will need to adjust.  He is dog selective and may do well with a medium to large female dog.  No small dogs, cats or male dogs.  Herbie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The adoption fee is $500.  We require a 6-foot fully fenced yard and not an invisible fence.

Story
My name is Maisie Joy. A kind lady found me outside in her yard one day. This lady had another dog though that didn’t want to be my friend. So I ended up at the shelter. Man is it scary there. Thankfully my foster parents found me and are letting me crash at their house till my furever family finds me. I have so much joy in my heart and love to share. I’m only 2 years old (and I weigh 62 lbs) however I’ve already had a litter of pups. My foster parents helped me fix that and I'm spayed now.  So now I’m finally ready to find my perfect forever home!! Let me tell you about myself... my foster parents think I’m a german short haired pointer. I love to talk and tell you anything on my mind. I love to run and play and I adore walks. My perfect family would be very active and like to play with me and take me for walks etc. Im good at car rides too, I just need dramamine first. I love toys and oh boy do I love bones! My foster parents have crate trained me and so I know when they say to “kennel up” what I'm supposed to do. I have a foster sister (gsaralum Sasha ) who I love to play with. I'm very interested in my foster kitty, but she never wants to play with me. Anyhow, if I sound like your perfect match please reach out to gimme shelter. I can’t wait to meet you!!” We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard. Not electric or Fido fences, as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500 which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Story
URGENT NY/CT/NJ Lab lovers!! Georgia, aka GG, needs a home NOW!!! She is a gorgeous affectionate black lab who is almost 2 years old and weighs 65 lbs. Georgia's foster mom says "she is really sweet and a lot of fun. She plays well with other dogs. She barks when people come into the house but she’s very friendly. She is very good in the crate. She’s a great dog." Georgia loves people and is a very snuggly sweet girl! She gets along with all dogs outside the home. But inside the home she does best with male dogs her size or bigger. No Cats, small dogs, female dogs or toddlers.  Georgia is housetrained, walks beautifully on a leash, loves the beach, car rides & cuddling with her humans. She is super smart and knows “place, sit, down, stay, and heel. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard with a physical fence. We don’t adopt to properties with only electric or Fido fences as they are not nearly as safe for the dog. The adoption fee is $500. Georgia is spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped.

Gizmo and Lulu are beyond perfection. They are funny, engaging and sweet. Perfect amount of energy for straight up companionship. Gizmo is an 11 year old, 20 lb. purebred Shih Tzu. Lulu is an 8 year old, 18 lb. mixed breed small dog. They are not siblings but have been together their whole lives. They are bonded and look out for each other and are always together but also want to snuggle with humans at the same time. They enjoy short walks and low key play time and get along with other dogs. They are perfect for a family looking for low maintenance fun fur babies. They are spayed, neutered and up to date on vaccines. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out.
