Story
Walter is a big ol' goofy guy. We just love his big dopey smile, and he loves to be cuddled. In his previous home, they let us know that he is potty trained, enjoys car rides, and likes to play with, but not destroy his toys. He would do best in a home where he can be the star of the show. He has not had any exposure to kids or cats. He would be great in an active family and will benefit from obedience classes. If you are interested in this happy-go-lucky guy, please stop by and we would be happy to introduce you! ***Petfinder inquiries are not monitored by Elmore SPCA*****Shelter hours are Monday - Saturday, Noon to 4pm****Applications, as well as personal references may be electronically submitted from our website at www.elmorespca.org/adoptionapp.html. **>>Due to the heavy load of adoption applications received processing of applications can take up to 7-14 business days.

Story
Achilles came to Elmore SPCA as a stray and after no one came forward to claim him, he is now looking for his perfect forever. He is heartworm positive, but we don't want that to keep him from finding his perfect family. He has started his treatment, which is a lengthy process, but Elmore SPCA and the veterinarian that we work with will help his new family through every step of the process. He is a sweet adult dog, who just wants to be loved, oh and he will take any treats he can get as well. **We are looking for a quiet foster home or a forever home for this sweet boy so he doesn't have to go through the healing process here in the shelter. If you are interested in meeting Achilles to adopt or foster, please stop by the shelter. We would love to introduce you!

Story
Catcher came to us with 10 other beagles after her owner sadly passed away. Her owner was a hunter and loved having his beagles with him. Catcher is new to our shelter and we are still getting to know her, but she seems to be a little adventurer. She would love a home where she can explore and have an active lifestyle.

Milton, VT

Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Brady is a 10-year-old chihuahua, with lots of years ahead of her (probably 5+). We are having a baby soon and unfortunately the hustle and bustle of little kiddos is too much for her and is really stressing her out. We want her to have a great quality life and that means a calmer, more low key environment. She is a calm and loving lady. She would do best in a home with one or two adults, where she can rotate between a good lap cuddle and a nice warm dog bed in the sun. She’s low energy, but has her spunky moments! She’s not particularly food or toy motivated, but does really enjoy a good scratch/pet. She has done well in a home with another lower energy dog, but can get nervous around super boisterous energy or puppies who don’t understand social queues yet. She’s not overly fond of cats, but is more likely to leave the room than start a tussle. Brady doesn’t enjoy stormy weather, so you’ll usually find her curled up in a quiet place if there’s rain/snow coming down. Retirement ready
