Astro

American Bulldog American Pit Bull Terrier

Male, 9 yrs 4 mos
Lyons, NY
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Astro is about 8 1/2 years old, and he weighs 70 pounds. This big handsome guy knows how to sit and shake for treats. Astro will probably chase cats, and may do best in a home without them. We recommend a home with older kids - 12 and up would be ideal, as Astro likes to play rough with his toys, and can be grabby with food and treats. Astro must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home to make sure they get along. * Astro qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion Program for adopters aged 50+

He is also very smart - he knows how to sit, lay down, and shake for treats! * PeeWee tested positive for Lyme disease when he arrived at the shelter, and is being treated with antibiotics * PeeWee qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion Program, for adopters aged 50+

Details
Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Lily is about 2 1/2 years old, and she weighs about 55 pounds. This sweet girl loves people, and gets attached to her human friends very quickly. Lily knows how to sit for treats, and she enjoys going for walks with our staff. Lily can be grabby with her food and treats, so we recommend caution around small children while she's eating. Lily must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home, to make sure they get along. Here at the shelter, Lily seems to enjoy being around the other dogs. * Lily has chronic skin allergies, and is currently eating a prescription diet.

Female, 3 yrs 3 mos
Lyons, NY
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Story
Sketti is about 3 years old, and she weighs about 50 pounds. This energetic girl knows how to sit and lay down for treats, and she loves hanging out with the staff one-on-one in our play yards. Sketti is new to shelter life, and being around so many other dogs seems to make her anxious. We suspect she may not be the biggest fan of other dogs, and will likely do best as the only dog in the home. * Sketti qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion Program

Story
Joker is 3 years old, and he currently weighs about 50 pounds. He knows how to sit and lay down for treats, and he enjoys spending time with our staff and volunteers in our play yard. Joker can be jumpy at times, and he is very grabby with his food - for those reasons, we think he'll do best in a home where the kids are a little older (10 and up recommended). Joker must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home, to make sure they get along. Joker previously lived with other dogs, and cats. * Joker qualifies for the shelter's Adult Companion Program, for adopters aged 50+
