Story
Hi…I’m Kyn Kyn, (really McKynlee, but the people here all call me Kyn Kyn) and I just have to get something off of my chest. I’m a 4 year old, 40 lb, female lab mix. I feel a little guilty for complaining because I live with a wonderful foster family in a wonderful home with wonderful dogs. But, I can’t help myself…because as much as I love it here, I know that I can’t be here forever and all I want is to be in a home that I know I can settle into forever. I absolutely ADORE my people and even like to show them this regularly. My foster mom works at the table a lot and I know she just melts with love for me when I come over and rest my head on her leg and look into her eyes…(I’ve overheard her talking about me). This is not a relationship that can last though…she needs the space to be able to foster more dogs so they don’t get killed and I need to be able to feel settled. I’m a love bug to my favorite people, gentle and sweet they say. I’m a real snuggle bunny and like to mold myself into my people to cuddle or lay against a leg or on a foot; it really gives me such a sense of contentment. I’m gonna be honest though…I’m not one of these girls who will instantly love everyone I meet, but I will sniff and check out visitors; it just takes me some time before I am ready for strangers to pet me. You’ll need to be a little patient with me because this change to an adoptive family is not going to be easy for me. In fact, it’s kind of scary even as it is also exciting. I do know that once I’ve spent a little time with an adopter, I will give them all of the same love and melt their hearts as I do everyone who meets me, (especially because I love treats). I hear my foster parents say that it's hard to find a dog who loves as hard as I do.😊 I’m fearful of new people and situations but once settled will romp with other dogs in the yard because it’s real fun. I think one of the problems is that people want me to seamlessly move to a new family and life and it’s just not me, so I don’t “show well.” I need someone who understands who I am and has the patience to let me grow into them as I have my foster family. Since I love attention and treats, it’s not too hard to get me to feel loved…and then I wake up full of joy in the morning and make happy noises for everyone and do prancing zoomies in the yard. I’m gonna give it to you straight…I might just want to be a homebody; and not go out and about too much because I feel scared when I do that. Maybe this will change for me but I’m not sure. Since new things make me nervous, maybe I shouldn’t be with young children and would do better with 12 year olds and up…they’re not as unpredictable as those little human children can be. (I hope this doesn’t insult any of you humans). I’ve heard them call me an “angel” which makes me feel happy inside. I try to do the right thing so I’m crate, house, and leash trained and know basic commands. They’ve told me what a fast learner I am too. Well, I gotta run now….I hear my foster mom coming and she prefers when I don’t use her computer. Please remember to put in an adoption application for me asap…😘 McKynlee is available for adoption but is also in need of a foster home. Story
If you love outdoor adventures Wallace is the dog for you. This 2 year old Boxer/Hound sweetheart loves to be outside in any weather - hiking on the trails, running in the snow, splashing in the water - it's all good with him. He is successful on and off the leash and his recall is quite good and getting better. At 77 pounds Wallace is a big boy, but is as gentle and affectionate as could be. He enjoys playing with other dogs, and will do so every chance he gets. He is very intelligent with a strong desire to please his people, and most things don't take any time at all to learn for this smart doggie. He settles down easily and sleeps through the night on his bed, but would prefer to share yours if given the chance. After a pretty rough start Wallace has come into his own in a loving and supportive foster home, and is ready to continue his journey with an experienced owner to guide him. He can still be wary of strangers and loud noises, and boundaries are good for him and you. A large yard with room for him to explore and stretch his long legs would be ideal, and while he does play well with other dogs, it would be best if he were the only dog in the home. His size may be overwhelming for young children and he would probably do better in a family with kids over 15 who can understand and respect his energetic enthusiasm. Wallace's potential is endless, and this sensitive and kind hearted boy deserves a forever family who can appreciate how truly special he is. Story
Hi there, fur-bulous people! I'm Riley, the adorable and sweet Spaniel/Pointer mix puppy, and I'm on a heartfelt mission to find my very own forever home! At just 1 year old and weighing between 43 pounds, I'm a small bundle of joy, overflowing with puppy love and an eagerness to explore the world. I get along great with other dogs, and I adore making new furry friends. Although I might be a tiny bit timid when we first meet, I promise you that my shyness will melt away in no time as I discover what a loving and caring person you are. I arrived at this rescue alongside my amazing mom, Harlow, and my wonderful siblings. While our family bond is strong, it's time for each of us to spread our furry wings and find our own special place in the hearts of loving families like yours. As a young and inquisitive boy, I'm eager to learn and grow with you by my side. I long for a warm and loving home, where I can romp around, explore the world, and be showered with love and cuddles. Can your home be the one for me? Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. Story
Meet Polar, the gentle soul with a heart as vast as the Arctic. This shy shepherd mix is about 18 months old, 78 pounds and has weathered life's storms but still dreams of finding his forever home. Despite his initial hesitation, once Polar feels the warmth of a caring touch, he blossoms into a loyal companion, dedicated to those who show him kindness. Polar isn't just a lone wolf – he's a social butterfly when it comes to furry friends, getting along famously with dogs big and small. Despite his shy nature around people, Polar's confidence shines through when he's surrounded by his canine companions, he loves his doggie foster siblings and has learned a lot from them. This intelligent shepherd mix has already mastered the art of sitting and is eagerly soaking up more knowledge, proving himself to be a quick learner. He’s fully housetrained and whether he's strolling through the neighborhood or embarking on outdoor adventures, Polar's love for walks knows no bounds. But don't let his energetic side fool you – Polar also knows the importance of relaxation. When it's time to unwind, he's a certified couch potato, happy to snuggle up beside you for some quality downtime. But when the call of the wild beckons, Polar is ready to dash and dart, reveling in the joy of freedom as he races around with unbridled enthusiasm. With patience and love, Polar is poised to transform into the magnificent dog he's meant to be. Will you be the one to give Polar the love and support he deserves, guiding him on his journey to becoming a cherished member of your family?
