Story
Honey's success story has been a long and winding journey — from being a pregnant, feral dog running wild in rural Mississippi, to being cared for by a loving young woman who undertook a frantic search to find a rescue that would receive and treat a heartworm positive dog. And Pet the Pet Program said yes. After three months of treatment, this incredible dog has received the "all clear" from her veterinarian and we are offering her for adoption. Honey is a 50-lb spayed female, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is about 1.5-2 years old. She is a loving, loyal, comical, and sweet girl with a little bit of attitude. Honey is crate trained, housetrained, and walks on a lead nicely. She is dog friendly and playful with both dogs and humans. Honey will need a home where there is another dog for company — she is calm when there is another dog present but has separation issues when left alone. Honey has a strong prey drive and therefore needs to be in a cat-free household. She is extremely athletic and able to clear a 4-ft fence without difficulty so she will need an enclosure that is escape proof when out of doors. She would make a super sport dog with her athleticism. Despite her rough early months, Honey’s temperament is one of kindness and love. She endured her painful heartworm treatments without reacting aggressively toward anyone working with her. She is still a bit reserved with new people, but warms up to women quickly. Honey's adoption fee is $400.00 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and deworming. Our adoption procedure for an approved application requires a telephone interview, meet/greet, home visit, and vet reference. We limit our adoptions to a 50-mile radius of Ithaca, NY. For an online adoption application, please email Pet the Pet Program at reverence@ottcmail.com. If you contact us and have not received a response within 24 hours, please check your spam. We are NYS Rescue049.

Story
Duke is a very large European Doberman. He is one year old registered AKC. I have two autistic children, one is severely autistic and I just do not have the time to take with him. He’s very smart. will sit and lay down if you reward him with a treat Loves to play and gets along well with our other dog. He still has a lot of puppy in him. He has been showing signs of dominance and occasionally nips, but I have no doubt if someone would take the time with him this would not continue to be an issue.

Story
Hello! My name is Isabella, but you can call me Izzy! I would do good in a home that has a nice comfy couch as I love to cuddle with my humans! That being said, I like the attention all to myself so I would prefer my home to have no other dog friends. I am a very smart girl that knows just the way to melt your heart with my cute face and adorable puppy dog eyes.

Story
Rehoming for my in-laws. Sammy can be a very sweet girl for her people, new people or kids (unless she knows you) she tends to be weary about and can have aggressive tendencies. She is taken care of but has been a primarily outside dog so she is not potty trained and will need work. She may do okay with other dogs and likes to play but could have territorial issues, also has food aggression. We would love to see her go to someone who is willing and has the time to work with her, she can be a wonderful dog if given the chance. We are not in the place to take her and give her the time/work she needs. Please contact us for any questions or if you are interested. She would need to meet you and be comfortable before taking her home.
