Story
UCC would like to welcome Blue Blossom! Blue is full of love for life! She has the cutest little nub tailed rump that never stops wiggling and waggling!!
We had received a request to help with a mom and her puppies from a volunteer and rescue advocate from Enuice Louisiana. Unfortunately we are not in a position to accept puppies (not to worry they were accepted by another rescue to find homes of their own.) But we could help Blue so we did!!!!
Blue has been a wonderful guest so far. She is 2/3 years old and a compact 45lbs, she is a solid girl but does fit perfectly in ones lap, she tested that out! Blue is a pretty playful, she loves to run and zoom! She will take her toys and throw and toss them about, its hilarious to watch and fills me with joy to see her happy and having a good time. Blue also loves the kiddy pools here, after she has a good run around she heads over for a splash and a lay down soaking.
Blue knows basic commands, and then some. She is a super good listener and has solid recall and strikes me as a dog with some working experience. She walks well on leash, is crate trained and housebroken. Blue does well with other dogs but has not been cat tested at this time. We recommend a home with gentle, respectful, but durable children 8 and up. Blue is a mixed breed large animal herding dog.
My guess based on look and personality is she may be an Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog mix. People considering herding breeds, should be able to provide an active lifestyle as they have the drive to learn, be active and to do a job for you! That being said Blue would make a lovely running, hiking and swimming companion. She has a gentle, go anywhere do anything personality and would love to be part of an adventurous house hold. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle up during down time.
Blue Blossom is heartworm negative, on prevention and fully vaccinated. Being she has given birth and weened recently, her body still needs to recover before spaying her is safe, but she does have a surgery date scheduled. If you are interested in opening your heart and home this little wiggle bottom your in for a rump shaking good time!
