**At Alfred State vet tech program. An approved application is required for a meet and greet** With the sweetest smile and the biggest heart, Beasley is looking for his forever home. This happy go lucky guy gets along great with other dogs. Beasley will do anything for a treat, although we think he could stand to skip a few snacks and go for a nice long walk instead! It would be extremely beneficial for Beasley if his new family is on the active side, as he is quite overweight, and needs some help getting back into tip top shape! We feel that he would be better suited for a family with older kids 12+ who are able to understand and respect boundaries. Beasley is neutered/microchipped and up to date with all his vaccines. Stop in today to meet this handsome guy.

Story
Kronk is a big teddy bear who does not realize his strength or size. Kronk is a shy and a bit fearful when first meeting you. Kronk needs someone who is familiar with is breed and understands his instincts for the need to be protective over his family. Kronk will need some training and someone who is willing to be patience with him. Kronk cannot live with cats, and we feel that no kids would be best at thsi time. Kronk does know some basic commands such as sit, shake, and come.

Story
**An approved application is required for a meet and greet** I am a big goofy boy who just so happens to be searching for his new forever family. I am an energetic pup who would love to have a home that will take me on daily walks, or maybe some long weekend adventures like camping! I enjoy playing with my toys, and with my people, but I sometimes get a little over excited and have been known to use my chompers during play....OOPS, SORRY! My shelter family says they know I don't mean to use my teefs on my people during playtime, and that I just need someone to help me learn some manners, which I'm totally down to learn! You may have noticed that my eyes look a little yucky in my photo, and that's because I have something called entropion. Entropion is a genetic condition that causes my eyelids to roll inward, and as a result my fur and eyelashes are constantly rubbing against my eyes. This causes me a great deal of pain and discomfort, and unfortunately for me, it has led to partial vision loss 😞 I will be getting surgery to fix the entropion when I get neutered, and although I'll be much more comfortable, my vision will unfortunately remain limited. That's okay though, because I'm still an awesome pup regardless of how well I can see! I have gotten along well with other dogs I have met so far, but of course a meet and greet is always required if there are other pups in your home to make sure that we will be a good match for each other! My shelter family says I will require a home with older human kiddos (16+) who are able to respect my boundaries as my poor vision causes me to startle easily when someone reaches towards me unexpectedly. I want nothing more than to offer a lifetime of love to a very special family to call my own. Could you be that special family that I've been searching for?

Story
Meet Charlie! ADOPTION FEE WAIVED Intake date: 5/30/23 Intake type: Surrender DOB: 01/26/2021 Gender: Male Weight: 60 lbs Charlie is a sweet, wiggly, playful boy. He LOVES going for walks, but he’s also incredibly snuggly and affectionate. Charlie likes meeting new people and going on adventures where he can sniff around. Charlie would do best in a home without cats, dogs, or children due to some ongoing behavioral issues. We’re not sure what has happened in his past, as he first came to us as a stray, but Charlie has pretty bad separation anxiety. He does well at the shelter, but former adopters have had trouble with crate training and keeping him out of trouble. He is a strong dog who is very determined to be right at your side. Charlie has also developed issues with resource guarding as a result of his long stay here at the shelter. Any potential adopter would have to be committed to working with Charlie and invest their time into crate training and overcoming his anxiety. We have purchased a special crate for Charlie that will go with him upon adoption. We think the ideal home for Charlie would be one with a fenced-in yard and strong, active people who have time to help Charlie become the great dog he is inside. Charlie is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think you can give Charlie the best life possible, fill out an adoption application today!
