Story
Why are we rehoming our dog? Athena was left to us when a family member passed and we already have 2 dogs and we can not afford to care for her with a baby on the way. Plus my dogs try to attack her. She’s a very loving dog, she’s used to being in a one person home. She’s very cuddly and sweet. She loves going for car rides. Hasn’t never showed signs of aggression but gets vocal with strangers . She does get very vocal when shes excited and she does jump a lot when she’s excited. She is crate trained and house broken. Any other questions please feel free to ask! We are expecting a baby in December and due to my dogs trying to attack her it would be safer for my wife and Athena to remove her completely from the situation

Story
Petey is a gigantic goof who does not know he's almost 90 pounds! This handsome hunk is as silly as they come and has plenty of energy for any outdoor activity. But of course, Petey contains multitudes... at home, he's a total couch potato and loves the calm and quiet pace that only a home can provide. Petey loves to play fetch and willingly shares his toys during playtime! He takes treats very softly and enjoys belly rubs. Petey loves every adult he meets when he's out and about but needs to live in an adult-only home! According to Petey, cats make great toys... so for the sake of cats everywhere, we're putting a stop to that, too. To recap: Tons (90 pounds) of fun? CHECK Goof with no idea he's 90 pounds? CHECK Rude around kids? CHECK Kind of a jerk to cats? CHECK Not interested in sharing a home with other dogs? CHECK Missed the puppy school class titled "Sharing Is Caring"? CHECK Great couch warmer? ALSO CHECK If Petey checks all the right boxes for you, fill out an application at the link below! Story
Max is a super sweet boy looking for a loving home of his own. He is a little shy when he first meets people, but we promise that Max will show you what a sweet, silly, and outgoing guy he is after just a few minutes! Max is extremely eager to learn and loves going for zooms in the yard and walks in the woods. He will do best with a family with the time and patience to help him get comfortable and give him all the love and care he needs to be confident. Max recently went for a 2-week sleepover with a couple of his volunteer besties! We learn so much about pups in our care when they go to a home. "Max was a perfect gentleman during his stay! He was an easy, gentle dog to live with. We fell in love as we got to know him! - Max's Vibe: We ran Max on a long leash daily. He needed to get zoomies out! He loves hiking in the woods, running in fields, and playing with sticks. Inside, he was happy to lie around and occasionally play with toys. He was never hyper or destructive. - Potty Training: Max sometimes excitedly peed when seeing us after a few hours. He was otherwise fully housetrained! Most days, he only peed once or twice. It didn't seem like nervous behavior, but he needed a "reason." Max would pee multiple times if we took him on a long hike or somewhere other dogs had been. - Personal Space: Max's way of showing affection is to sit as close as possible and gaze at us! He liked to touch us while napping. Once asleep, Max wanted a little more space. While deeply asleep, he growled when we touched his paws. But he was great at sharing the couch, moved if asked, didn't guard space, and was perfectly fine with us handling his paws when awake! - Training + Treats: Max was exceptionally intuitive about tone and body language. It felt like he could read our minds, responding to words and gestures like he knew what we wanted. He likes treats, but praise is just as effective a reward! - Strangers: Max met a few people outside the house. For the most part, he was his timid self. But two people gave Max a funny feeling, and he turned into a bit of a guard dog. His hackles were a good early indicator of if he thought someone was a threat. **Single person home*** **Please Note** Our pet listings update automatically every 4 hours, so they are as current as possible. Dani is two years old and is living at our shelter for the second time. He's a gentle guy who has been dealt a couple of tough hands and hopes someone will finally keep their promises to him. Dani is as sweet and social as they come. He's energetic and ready to zoom his way straight to your heart! Dani loves playing with dogs and does best with pup friends with silly and rowdy play styles like him. We dare you not to smile when Dani flashes his goofy grin!
