Story
If Dallas placed a personal ad, it might read like this: Energetic two-year-old is full of love, seeks new home with lots of opportunities for walks and playtime, treats galore and - of course - plenty of petting. Older children a plus. Canine and feline siblings optional. Dallas is a man of mystery. We asked him about his life before he arrived here at Lollypop Farm, but he's not talking. We do know that he loves people, especially because in his mind people = treats and attention. His love of treats means he'll be a willing pupil when it comes to training. He's already learned to sit and walk on a harness. Additional training will help him bond with his new family while learning the rest of his commands. Training and mental enrichment - puzzle toys and games - along with training and exercise, are all good ways to help him burn off energy, too. We think Dallas will do best in a home where any children are at least twelve years old. We'll have you bring the whole family here to the shelter to meet him so we can be sure everyone fits together well. We don't know how he feels about other animals, so we'd also like to introduce him here to any dogs who are already part of your family to be sure they start off on the right paw. If you're a cat household, ask your counselor for tips on at-home intros to encourage inter-species harmony. Could Dallas be the dog you've been searching for? We'd love to see you here at the shelter to meet him and our other available dogs. Who knows? You might find yourself traveling home with a furry brand-new family member.

Story
Meet Clint, the dog with the permanent wink! This happy four-year-old is currently chilling with his foster family after the stress of shelter living started getting to him. Now he's got his happy face back and he's ready to find a home of his own. Bonus: His adoption fee has been sponsored, so his new family will take him home for free. Clint would like to live in an adult-only home - kids 18+ are fine - where he doesn't have to share the spotlight with any other pets. In return for all your love, he promises to give you all of his - and he has lots of love to give. He's very accommodating, up for whatever you want to do: a walk or a cuddle, not to mention a play session, indoors or out. Speaking of playing, Clint loves everything from Nylabones to paper towel tubes. He's a big fan of tearing up stuffies, so much so that you may need to trade something yummy for the remains. Clint's very favorite thing gets its own paragraph: sunbathing. He could hang out in the sun forever, so if you have a fenced yard where he can sunbathe and you can choose sun or shade, he already loves you and you haven't even met yet. Clint has some of the cutest quirks we've ever seen. He literally bunny-hops when he gets excited. Do you like a dog who likes having his face smooshed? Clint wants you to know he's your guy. And when he's outside he gets the zoomies when it's time to "go." Speaking of "going," he's a great communicator. He tells his foster mom when he needs to go out, when he's hungry, and of course when he's looking for some snuggly love. He loves sticking to a schedule, so if you need to follow a schedule yourself because of work commitments or anything else, he'll easily get in synch with you. One thing to know about Clint is that he's really not a fan of other dogs, so when he's out walking or going somewhere like the vet, he wears a muzzle as a sign for other people to keep their dogs at a distance. He's completely comfortable wearing his muzzle, so just think of it the way he does: as another piece of his on-the-go gear, along with his collar and leash. What better way to end than with his foster mom's own words when asked what she wants the world to know about this Very Good Boy: "He can come across as a lot at first, but he really is a sweet, calm, smart, funny dog! Love him to death :)" If you'd like to meet sweet Clint, contact his in-shelter contact Alivia at amartin@lollypop.org. She'll get in touch with his foster mom and set up an appointment for Clint to meet the whole family. After that...well, we and Clint are crossing our fingers (and paws) that the next step will be for him to head home with you.

Story
Hermes has the biggest, happiest smile! Wouldn't you love to have him greet you with that big grin every time you came home? Keep reading, because we've got our paws crossed he'll be just the dog you've been looking for. We don't know much about his past, but we do know he's housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, already knows how to sit and lie down when asked, and is working on Stay. He's very (very, very) treat motivated, which will both be to your advantage when you teach him the rest of the basics but is also one of the things he needs to work on. He can become so focused on the treat that he forgets you're asking him to do something, so your counselor will teach you strategies for keeping him focused on you. Hermes is a very social guy and also a very energetic one, so we think he'd do best in a home where any children are at least twelve years old, and we'd like to introduce him to the whole family in the course of several meetings here at the shelter. We'd also like to introduce him here to any dogs who are already part of your household, because we don't know how he feels about his fellow canines. Are you a cat family? Your counselor can give you tips on handling low-stress at-home intros to foster interspecies happiness. Are you ready to say hello to Hermes? We'd love to see you here at the shelter to meet him and our other available dogs. You just might find your next best friend waiting right here and hoping to meet you.

Story
Rowan came to us from another shelter after being found as a stray. His beautiful brindle coat makes him stand out in a crowd, so prepare to get noticed when you walk this big handsome boy through the neighborhood. Read on to discover some of the things we've learned about him since he arrived. Rowan is a high-energy kind of guy - which makes sense, since he's only three years old. Somewhere along the way he learned to walk nicely on a leash, though, which means you can enjoy helping him work off some of that energy by taking long walks together. If you're a hiker or a jogger, even better. He'd love to keep you company on your travels. No worries when the weather's uncooperative and the outdoors seems less than inviting. Puzzle toys, slow feeders and training are great ways to work his brain, and that will burn off energy, too. In fact, positive reinforcement training, using treats and praise, is a great way to bond with a new dog. Rowan is still learning his commands, so you can enjoy teaching him the ins and outs of good-boy behavior while you become buddies for life. We'd like to introduce Rowan to the whole family here at the shelter before he goes home. It might take him a few minutes to realize you're ready to be friends, but keep tasty treats on offer and you'll soon have him literally eating out of your hand. Based on what we've seen at the shelter, we are recommending that Rowan doesn't go home with any other pets - he wants you all to himself! One last thing to know is that when Rowan got here we discovered he's positive for heartworm. We're currently treating him, so we'll send him home on an extended sleepover. You'll bring him back here for his no-cost-to-you treatments here at our clinic. Once he gets the all clear, we'll finalize the adoption and he'll officially be your very good boy. And just to make everything perfect, his adoption fee has been waived and he'll be able to go home for free. Could Rowan be the dog you've been hoping to meet? Why not hop in the car and take a ride out here to Lollypop Farm to meet him and our other available dogs? You could find yourself heading home with love on the end of a leash.

Story
Wicket is one of several dogs who came to Lollypop Farm together. Now, while he waits to find a home of his own, he's staying with a wonderful foster mom and getting used to all the possibilities life offers. If you think Wicket sounds like he'd be a good fit for you, we'd love to make arrangements for you to meet him. To set up an appointment, please contact his in-shelter contact, Nicole at nratliff@lollypop.org. Wicket's foster mom has shared some insights with us to help us find him the right adopter. Could you be the lucky person who'll get to take him home? Wicket is a sweet dog with a quiet nature. He's very loving with women, but he's not a fan of young children. Because of that, we think he'd do best in an quiet household, where any children are on the older side. He's a little slower to warm up to men, but give him time - and maybe a few extra treats - and he'll soon be everyone's friend. Once Wicket accepts you, he has an adorable habit of gently pawing at you to request petting. He also loves sleeping in bed with you. In fact, cuddling just might be his superpower. More good news: He's already trained to use potty pads, and your counselor can give you tips for transitioning from those to going outdoors. In his previous home Wicket lived with lots of other dogs and felt very comfortable with them. Since being in his foster home, however, he has chosen to spend most of, if not all, of his time solo. His foster parent thinks that he'd do best as an only dog. There were no cats in Wicket's original or foster home, and he has not taken too much of a liking to his foster parents' foster kittens. Once Wicket's at home with you, we'll be here to cheer you on and answer any questions as you help him learn the joys of a home of his own. Here's hoping you and Wicket will be a perfect match.

Story
3-year-old Princess is a beautiful young lady! This playful girl loves to play fetch - her favorite toys seem to be plushies with squeakers. She also loves getting lots of pets and attention from her people - a princess deserves to be pampered, after all! Princess wants to be your one and only furry friend - she should be the only pet in the home due to a negative history with other animals. Princess has done great with young children in the past, but some kids may find her energy level overwhelming. If Princess sounds like the dog for you, please come meet her soon!
