Story
Milo is female, 2 years old Boston Bulldog with all vaccines up to date. She is an adorable, clever dog who is too sweet and very well behaved with kids and another pet dog/cat and knows how to play gently. The reason for I am putting Milo for adoption is because I’m moving soon to an apartment that pets are not allowed. I would like to give Milo a better home and family who can really take care of her. It breaks my heart to let her go, as her previous home had seemingly abused her and it feels like we’re giving up on her, but this is for the best. Milo knows how to sit, stay, walk without leash, and stay in the house even when doors are open, but not potty trained but if you have the time Milo will learn quickly because she’s a very smart and very friendly dog.

Story
Creed came to us as an owner surrender in 2019, after living in the same home since he was a tiny puppy. He has since been adopted out 4 TIMES, and came back each time for adopters losing their homes, financial hardship, and other reasons like that that have absolutely NOTHING to do with Creed himself. Because honestly, Creed is one of our sweetest dogs we have here. He is quiet, he is calm, he is house trained, he is sweet, he is smart, he is great in the car, he is affectionate and oh yes, he is an adorable hippo! We are so upset for him, just imagine how he must feel, going from being in one home his whole life, to being in 4 different homes in 5 years. This cycle has to stop - we need to get him into his FOREVER home, one where his people will care for him for the rest of his life so he can finally, truly, understand what it`s like to feel safe. No dogs or cats for this hunky guy. Creed is currently in a foster home but at 13 years old (almost 14, although you`d never know it with his puppy-like personality) We would love nothing more than to see Creeds adoption papers SIGNED!If you are interested in learning more, please contact our placement team at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:E: adoption@hempsteadny.govE: rescue@hempsteadny.govT: 516.785.5220#AdoptCreed #upforadoption #takemehome #ideserveahome #happyhippo #hippoOrDog #dogsofinstagram #adoption #mystory #dogoftheday #adoption #rescue #rescueme #creed #pittiemix #XLbully #woof #dogsoffacebook

Story
Jada is a 3-year-old husky mix with a sweet, social personality and a playful spirit. Jada enjoys being around people and enjoys being pet. She walks well on leash, knows basic cues like sit, down, stay, and come, and has a fun, energetic play style with both people and other dogs. In a previous home, she did show some resource guarding with toys and chews, so she would do best with a dog-savvy family that can manage this behavior. Jada is recommended for homes with kids 14 and up and would thrive with an active adopter who understands her husky energy and playful nature. If you are interested in learning more contact our placement team at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:E: Adoption@hempsteadny.govE: Foster@hempsteadny.govE: Rescue@hempsteadny.govT. 516.785.5220#Adoptme #huskyrescue #adoptahusky #huskymix #takemehome #adoption #rescue #rescueismyfavoritebreed #opttoadopt #longislanddogs #longislanddogparents #adotions #dog #doggo #dogsofnewyork #newyorkcitydogs #NYCdogs #husky #rescuedog #nyadoptable #longislandanimalshelter #animalshelter #shelterdogs #shelterdog #shelterdogsrock #rescuedogsarethebest
