Story
We adopted Ghost from the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter in 2022. He'e estimated to be 7 years old now, and his estimated birth month is July. All we know about his breed is that he's a terrier mix, and so he can be strong-willed. He's also blind, having lost his sight suddenly for no known reason (diagnosis: SARDS) in 2023. Despite that, he can perfectly get around the house and yard, and only needs help with curbs when walking around the neighborhood, as he loves walks. Ghost is cuddly, a true lap dog, and loves to be with his people, but he's wary of guests and unfortunately greatly fears small kids. Outside of his home, he's friendly to strangers and older kids. He's used to be being gated in his own room at night, so he'll probably take to a crate just fine. He likes to play tug of war or run with a leader (on a leash) back and forth in the yard.

Maeve was found as a stray on 12/1/23. She was extremely emaciated and could barely stand. Maeve went to a foster home where she was nursed back to health. She gets along well with male dogs, but she's not too fond of females. She also does well with cats. She's about 5 years old with lots of love to give. Please apply for her at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

Story
Handsome pants. 2010 model. Velcro dog. 12/10 zoomie king. Ball is life. Hard head, soft heart for his people. Will work for treats. Crate trained, loves his dude den. This dude understands all basic commands (and then some!) and loves training, working, thinking and trying hard to please his human when being taught new things. He operates at his best with a solid routine, structure and with someone who can provide predictability. He requires an only-dog household, preferably with adults and/teenagers who are well-versed in dog ownership because he is still working on learning not to jump when he gets excited, and pumping the brakes when he Releases the Kraken for zoomies. Unfortunately he doesn’t get along with his housemate anymore but has been evaluated by a behaviorist and deemed a “lovely dog” who would thrive when flying solo. This guy will be a gem in the right environment without other dogs.

Story
Coral, our longest DBU tenure, has been patiently for years for her forever family to come along. Despite her long wait, she knows the perfect forever home will come along! Don’t let those wheels fool you, she’s  just like every other dog, only faster! She doesn't use her cart inside the house and gets around just fine. Coral had an injury when she was just a baby, and it caused permanent nerve damage. She will have to wear some fashionable diapers and use her cart outside, but that is the only thing “different” about her. She loves kids, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and rabbits - everyone! The dogtor says she’s very healthy and ready to go to my furever home now - so whatcha waitin’ for?? Coral comes with her cart, supplies, 1 year of diapers, dozens of fashionable diapers & support from her fabulous foster mom. She is 3 years old and fully grown. Coral’s adoption fee is SPONSORED! Coral is an amazing dog and would make a great therapy dog to visit schools, hospitals and nursing homes. She is a star at our events and loves to meet new people. Please share this post for Coral.
