Story
🩷🧚‍♀️ Meet the enchanting Tinkerbell! 🧚‍♀️🩷 With her majestic big ears and captivating eyes—one icy blue, one deep black—Tinkerbell is a charming 8-month-old Labrador Retriever mix, currently weighing about 30 pounds. Destined to grow into a beautiful medium/large-sized dog, she’s already making heads turn and hearts melt wherever she goes! Tinkerbell has overcome a challenging past after being rescued from a hoarding situation alongside her 21 siblings. Since then, she has blossomed into a beacon of joy and friendliness. She absolutely adores playing with other dogs, sharing her space with cats, and is a hit with kids! Whether it’s chasing her furry friends in spirited games or being the life of the party, Tinkerbell is all about fun and frolic. 🎉🐕 Tinkerbell is crate trained, is primarily housebroken, and walks well on the leash. Her loving foster mom says Tinkerbell thrives on belly rubs and playtime with her toys. Initially shy, she just needs a little patience and a few treats to warm up and embrace her adventurous side, ready for walks and new experiences. A message from Tinkerbell's foster family: "She’s such a sweet dog! She never barks, she’s easygoing and great with kids, she loves her crate and sleeps really well in it. She loves treats, squeaky toys and belly rubs. Tinkerbell loves running around a quiet backyard with anyone who will join her. She’s shy initially, but very loving and affectionate with those she trusts, so give her time and she will become your favorite companion. When she’s happy, she tucks her ears back and wags her tail so her whole body wiggles back and forth - she is so cute! She deserves a loving home. We hope she finds one soon. ❤️" Ready to let this lovely pup sprinkle some magic into your life? Meet Misa! Misa is a 2.5-year-old German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and is fully grown at about 60 lbs. While Misa is a larger-sized dog, she is truly such a gentle giant and is known for her sweet personality. Misa is a wonderfully loving and gentle girl. She loves her daily walks around town and enjoys meeting all kinds of people and would be a great companion for children. Misa also gets along with other dogs. Currently, she's working on her leash training and is making fantastic progress; however, she would LOVE a home with a backyard to get her zoomie sessions in. She is looking for a forever family who can shower her with affection and give her ear scratches as much as possible. Misa is house broken and crate trained though she does not need one. She enjoys spending her days by her foster parent's side, just waiting for the perfect time to ask yet again for some ear scratches. She's a very smart and attentive pup that would be a great addition to your home. Misa's stunning looks will draw your eye, but after getting to know her, it's her loving heart that will quickly become part of your family. We cannot believe this sweetheart hasn't been scooped up yet! Meet the beautiful and loving, Celeste! 🎀🩷 Celeste is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever mix and is fully grown at about 53 lbs. This pretty girl was rescued alongside her six puppies in Windsor, SC, where they were stranded outside in an abandoned house. They are so thankful to have been saved and are now ready to find their forever families! Celeste is such a sweet girl who loves to give hugs and kisses! Celeste absolutely adores people. Though, small children are a bit too much for Celeste. She would prefer her forever home have no kids or those with prior dog experience. Celeste's favorite way to spend her days includes going on walks and curling up on the couch next to her favorite people for a good nap. She is very go-with-the flow and if its left up to her, she will ask to stay home and cuddle all day long. She is known for giving the best hugs and loves to hand them out! Celeste does well with other dogs and is currently being fostered with multiple of all ages and sizes. She would love to go home with a sibling or too! Celeste is housebroken, likes her crate, and sleeps through the night perfectly without making a peep. Celeste is an easy girl who simply cannot wait to find her own forever family! Introducing Rudy!! 🌟 This 9-month-old Labrador Retriever mix weighs around 40 lbs and was rescued with his siblings from Swainsboro, GA. Now safe and sound, Rudy and his siblings are thrilled at the chance to find their forever families! Rudy sports a handsome black coat with a distinctive white stripe down his face and the cutest white "shoes". He's an adventurer at heart, always ready to explore and engage with the world around him. But don’t let his love for adventure fool you—Rudy is also a cuddle enthusiast! 🐾💕 Whether it's playtime with canines, felines, or kids, Rudy is all in. He thrives during play sessions, whether he’s getting the zoomies, playing keep-away, or simply soaking up the sun. After he's burnt off some energy, there’s nothing he loves more than snuggling up with his foster family on the couch or in bed, though he wouldn’t mind a dog bed of his very own. Training with Rudy is a breeze thanks to his love for snacks. He is so good about using the bathroom outdoors, is crate trained (even though he really doesn't need one) and is a huge fan of long leash walks. 🌟 From his foster family: Rudy is a playful pup overflowing with curiosity and love. At 40 pounds, this quick learner loves long walks and exploring new surroundings. While Rudy can be a bit cautious in new situations, his gentle heart shines through once he’s comfortable, revealing a loyal and loving character perfect for an active family or someone seeking a steadfast, loving, and loyal companion. If you're looking for a fun-loving, curious pup to add joy to your life, Rudy's your guy! Apply on our site today to begin your adoption application - www.homeforgooddogs.org! ❤️🐾 Rudy is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Story
Elmer is a friendly and sweet 5-year-old Chocolate Labrador mix who is looking for an active forever home! He is fully grown at a perfect 61 lbs. He was originally rescued from Swainsboro, Georgia and is so excited to find his forever family! Elmer is an energetic boy who would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run around and play fetch all day. He enjoys his toys, particularly his Kong, and loves relaxing on the sofa after a playful day. Elmer is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He is a smart boy who is treat-motivated and responsive to commands. He knows how to sit and is continuously improving on his leash skills with minimal pulling. He would prefer not to share his home with any canine or feline friends as he enjoys being the center of attention at all times. Elmer would do well with older children who can match his energy! This sociable boy enjoys following his foster around both the house and and settles well at night, sleeping soundly on a dog bed in the bedroom. Elmer's foster family says: "He's a happy-go-lucky dog, truly enjoys life to the fullest. His favorite activities are going for walks, playing fetch, and eating. Say the words "walk", "ball" or "eat" and he jumps for joy. He's great on walks and never tires of fetching a ball (or frisbee, or any toy). He equally enjoys his downtime and loves to cuddle on the couch with his family. He's very affectionate and not shy about asking for attention." Elmer is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Story
Introducing the adorable Petunia! This pretty girl is the cutest 7-month-old Dachshund/Beagle mix. She currently weighs about 21 pounds and will be a small/medium-sized dog when fully grown. Petunia was rescued from a high kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia alongside her sister Penny. These two girls were incredbily scared when first rescued, but they are learning more each and every day about how great life can be! Now in a loving foster home, Petunia is blossoming into the great pup she was meant to be! She is shy when meeting new people and asks that she is given a little time and patience to warm up. She thrives in the company of other dogs and needs to go home with one (or two) to help build her confidence. With her friends, Petunia loves to get the zoomies, play with toys, and chase each other around. Her true playful spirit shines so bright when with other confident canines. Petunia would not mind going home with cats, or older children who can give her the time and space she needs to get acclimated. Petunia is working on her leash, crate, and house training. You can find Petunia sunbathing in the perfect sunspot or having a blast with some toys. While Petunia can be shy, she is eager to find her forever family whom she can love and trust! Apply on our site today to begin your adoption application for Petunia! Petunia is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application.
