Story
Autumn has experience with children, having been around them from babies up. She does well with most dogs but doesn't have any known history with cats. While she can be a bit shy around men, she warms up to women quickly and forms strong bonds once she feels safe. When Autumn first arrived, she was a bit stressed and scared, but with patience and love, she has shown her sweet personality! She enjoys going for walks and runs and does great in the car. While she may not be overly interested in toys just yet, she absolutely loves affection and will shower you with love once she trusts you. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will reward your kindness with endless love, Autumn could be the perfect match for you!

Remy is very loveable, smart, treat motivated. Loves people and attention. He is a big dog 70 lbs He likes kids but would do better with older kids due to his size. May play a little too rough for little ones. He will play fetch until he drops or you do. He would do well in a household with older children and a fenced yard.

Story
Meet Kaya! Kaya is a strong and loving dog who's been through a lot in her life. After being with her first family for many years, she was placed with a second family, but unfortunately, it didn't work out after only a week. She is now looking for her forever home with someone who can truly understand her needs. Here's what Kaya is looking for in a family: No children & no other pets - Kaya needs to be the center of attention, in a calm, quiet environment. Mostly house trained & crate trained - Kaya is well-behaved inside and loves having her own space. Muzzle trained - Kaya is comfortable with wearing a muzzle when needed for safety. Loves walks - Kaya enjoys getting out for walks and is always excited to explore! Respect her boundaries - Kaya is independent and likes affection on her own terms. She is very loving, but she must have her space respected. Knows commands - Kaya is intelligent and knows sit, stay, down, dance, and bark. She is ready to learn more with the right person. Kaya is a sweet and smart girl who needs a patient, understanding adopter who will let her settle in at her own pace. Could you be the one to give her the home she deserves? Interested? Reach out to us to meet this beautiful girl today! #AdoptKaya #DogAdoption #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Bowie is a 5-year-old mixed breed who is looking for a patient and experienced owner. He was surrendered due to behavioral concerns, including resource guarding, which led to an incident where he bit a smaller dog in the home over a bone. Additionally, Bowie has a history of a human bite when startled awake, so he needs a home that understands his triggers and can provide a calm, stable environment. Bowie is excitable and will need continued training and structure to help him thrive. He does not get along with other dogs, so he would do best in a home where he is the only pet. Bowie still needs to be neutered, and we are working on getting that scheduled. If you have experience with dogs that need extra care and patience, Bowie may be the right fit for you. He will require a committed, understanding owner who can give him the time and attention he deserves to help him adjust and grow into a confident companion. Bowie's temperament and needs may require an experienced dog owner.

Story
Daphne is a friendly and affectionate girl who gets along wonderfully with people and other pets. She enjoys lounging indoors but still has bursts of playful energy. Due to a past leg injury as a pup, she sometimes has a charming limp, which doesn't slow her down much but might need occasional rest after an active day. She came to us with an ear infection that we are working to resolve. She'll be available for adoption in January and is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy her senior years with plenty of cuddles and care. If you're ready to give Daphne the best chapter of her life, submit your application today!

Story
Mikey’s Holiday Wish: A Forever Home Mikey has been mostly a very good boy this year—aside from his talent for scaling 6-foot chain-link fences! But don’t let that fool you—he’s firmly on Santa’s “Nice List.” This cheerful, loving, and playful pup is the perfect companion for someone ready to match his zest for life.2024 was a big year for Mikey. After arriving at our shelter, we discovered he had heartworms—a tough diagnosis for any dog. Mikey handled it like a champ, though, staying calm and patient through three months of treatment (not easy for an energetic guy like him).A quick reminder for pet owners: Heartworm prevention is as easy as giving your dog a monthly pill. Be sure to talk to your vet about keeping your furry friends safe and healthy! Now fully recovered and heartworm-free, Mikey is ready to find his forever family. He’s currently the only dog in the shelter, and his one Christmas wish is to spend the holidays in a loving home.Mikey is a 6-year-old, neutered Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s:Dog selective: Prefers to choose his canine companions wisely. Not a fan of cats: Those whiskers are just too tempting to chase!Great with older kids: He thrives in active homes where he can keep up with the fun.Adventurous and well-behaved: Loves car rides, tolerates baths like a pro, and knows some basic commands. While Mikey already has a solid foundation, he’d benefit from continued training to polish his manners and unleash his full potential. If you’re looking for a loyal and spirited companion, Mikey could be the perfect addition to your family. Give him the gift of a home this holiday season—and he’ll return the favor with endless love and tail wags.Ready to make Mikey’s Christmas wish come true?
