Story
Love our quirky Miss Kimber. We scrubbed her kennel down, clean blankets (which make her sleepy), a good walk, what else can make her happy.......a good weim savy home who understands her getting mouthy, playing with balls, chew bones, when she stands up on 2 legs lifts her paws like she is saying hallelujah (think of it you just said it) and her drive for prey (so no cats, or little dogs) and no little kids due to her energy. She loves her two times a day walks, and you know when she is done she throws her walking pal Scorpio on the ground. Download & fill out the adoption application at huskerweimrescue.com. Email it to us, we will be happy to respond.

Story
Are you looking for a weim whose heart is as big as his paws? I want to introduce you to Husker Weim Rescue, Inc, foster guy Remington. At the young age of 9 years old, Remi is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and is well mannered. He listens to most commands when he wants or when he thinks he is getting a treat. He is crate trained and house broke. He is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He loves laying his head on your chest and looking at you or leaning against your leg while you’re standing. He is not a licker, but he does not know personal space. He has been fantastic with our cat and our 10 year old lab, he does bark at people / dogs walking on the sidewalk but otherwise he’s pretty quiet besides his flatulence. He does need his exercise and when we go for walks with both dogs, people think he is only a couple years old. He is still very spunky for his age and can be onery. He has done very well with our older children, and he can be off leash when we are working around the house without concern of him running off. We have always leashed him when we see people or dogs coming around, although I feel he would just want to say hi. He comes when called and loves his car rides. However, he does not like loud noises or quick movements. He can be a scaredy cat when it comes to certain things. He does not show much of a prey drive, I have never seen him chase anything yet, besides me walking with his food bowl. His future home will need certain things to provide him with his best life. He will need consistent exercise, yes he can lay around for a bit but he likes to be moving. Ideally, he would have a large backyard to run around in, he likes to lay in the shade with a chew toy as well. Most of all he wants to be involved with everyone. He also will need a certain diet to keep the flatulence to a minimum. His stomach does not seem to like any chicken by products. If you think you can meet his requirements, I can promise that you will never find another dog that will love you as much as Remington will.
