Story
Meet Harper!Harper, a beautiful medium-sized mixed dog, came to us originally from the Flathead County Animal Shelter. Harper knows her `sit` and `stay` commands very well. She can be very anxious when meeting new people, so, we highly encourage a home that has other pet friends who Harper can meet to help build up her confidence with her new (human) family. Harper loves nothing more than running around in the yard chasing after butterflies or crickets. We think she would do great with a family who has (older) children, or great with a family looking for another dog companion to add into the fold. Every animal adopted from the Humane Society of Northwest Montana is given age appropriate vaccines, is microchipped, is in good health, and has been neutered or spayed.

Story
Meet RJ!Originally a transfer from the Flathead County Animal Shelter, RJ is a goofy and spry senior pet! He still has so much playfulness about him, and he will do just about anything for a treat! RJ can get himself in trouble sometimes, as when he is bored he will dig around in the yard. Therefore we strongly recommend RJ to go to a family who can spend lots of time with him, or a family who is able to provide lots of enriching activities for RJ to partake in. And definitely a family who has a large, fenced yard for RJ to roam in! RJ is housetrained and he loves making new canine friends, young or old. Every animal adopted from the Humane Society of Northwest Montana is given age appropriate vaccines, is microchipped, is in good health, and has been neutered or spayed.

Story
Meet Charlotte!Charlotte is a very energetic, slightly wriggly large puppy! We like to think she doesn`t really know her own strength yet- Charlotte is quite strong and as such we would recommend her going home with a dog savvy-family. We think she could go home to a family with children, but probably not children who are younger. Charlotte does know some of her commands and she is just about fully housetrained- but she still makes mistakes sometimes! Charlotte is eager to please and she loves getting to play with other dogs. Her playstyle can be a bit strong! And she can be very nervous when meeting new people but once she`s warmed up to you she is an absolute sweetheart. Every animal adopted from the Humane Society of Northwest Montana is given age appropriate vaccines, is microchipped, is in good health, and has been neutered or spayed.

Story
I got this beautiful baby during the pandemic right before needing to put down my childhood dog. She has been a good companion and loving friend. I moved to Chicago and have experienced housing issues. My parents agreed to take her for a short time but I have not had any success with housing. They can't handle her as they are aging, and she needs a new home. She is in MT. She has been around kids, cats, birds, dogs both male and female since she was young. She is very social and loves attention. Heard cuddles. Needs a loving home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. KODA Koda loves laying in the sun, and being outside in the afternoons with her foster mom. She is exceptional at all basic commands, listens and responds well. She does need to be the only pet in the home. She does a controlled heel and would enjoy walks but will need to be on lead. She would greatly benefit from an owner who understands the German Shepherd breed. She is very strong weighing in at 67 lbs, and is six years old. Koda is available for adoption through LSAR.org. She is a gorgeous girl and would make a wonderful companion. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is 150.00 and includes three training sessions with our trainer so that Koda and her new family can get off on the right foot together!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 8:38 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ranger is a young neutered male pittie/aussie cross. This combination makes him stubborn and smart at the same time. He is a very friendly guy - always happy to see you and up for a good time. He is good with other dogs, but his lack of social awareness can make him a little much for some dogs. Ranger has had some extensive training with our trainer in Missoula and has made great strides. He is going to require an active home and a family committed to giving him exercise and continuing his training so that he can be a good canine citizen. He is neutered and microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is 150.00 and his adopter will receive three free training sessions with one of our trainers if local or in Missoula or Kalispell or a trainer of your choice if you live elsewhere.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 8:38 am
