Story
Maya is a medium sized hound mix ready to spice up your life. This girl likes to participate in playgroups with other dogs, running around in a game of chase. Maya would love to meet any potential doggy siblings! She lived in a home before which means she likely has some house manners! She does have a high prey drive so she would probably not do best in a home with cats. If you are interested in Maya, come meet her at KCPP Main Campus! Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.

Story
Meet Salty - This handsome boy balances out his name perfectly with his sweet personality! Volunteers have even reported that after spending time with him you'll need to visit the dentist, he's so sweet. Salty was recently surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own and is on the hunt for his forever family. Salty is going through a lot of big changes and will need a family who is willing to give him a little time and patience for his personality to truly blossom. His previous family said that he is an amazing dog who is so easy to love. Salty is looking for a family who loves a good cuddle session just as much as a fun play session. This boy loves to be active and isn't picky when it comes to toys. He will happily play with anything from tennis balls to frisbees. Salty is also one smart cookie. He reportedly knows a variety of commands sit, down, come, and more! In his past home, Salty has lived with children. He would love to meet any children in the home to ensure it is a great match. Salty enjoys hanging out with other mellow pups during playgroups at the shelter. Salty cannot wait to be back in a home snoozing the day away! Salty is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home! His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.

Story
Come give this butterscotch beefcake a chance! Bubba is such a sweet boy. After a bit of a shy meeting, he has opened up quickly in his foster home. Things Bubba loves: giving kisses, getting belly rubs, playing with toys, and eating treats. He loves to go for a walk and has a cute trot when he is exploring. And because he is past those puppy years, he has balanced adult dog energy. He enjoys to play but equally loves a good nap near his people. And when the people are away, he goes right in his kennel with no issues. Another bonus - he's housetrained! He had a rough start as a young pup with an embedded collar so he is looking for a forever home to shower him with love and care. The right family for Bubba would be able to give him a calm and safe environment. He would need a home with no cats. However, a canine friend would be a plus. He is currently living with 2 large dogs, and he reacts well to their social cues. Will do best in a home without small children. If you think you could find a place in your heart and home for this lovable guy, his foster family is ready to answer any questions you have! Email foster@kcpetproject.org for more info or to meet him. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.

Meet Toledo, a sweet and friendly boy who has been dealt a really poor hand in life, having been abandoned by his owner at a pet resort. Yes, you read that right! Yet, he still a happy and friendly guy, not giving up on humans or finding that loyal love. Toledo is housetrained and is working on crate training in his foster home. Toledo's foster parent describes him as a cuddle bug and couch potato! He loves toys, treats, and is eager to learn more tricks! Toledo is four years seven months old, and weighs a healthy 52 pounds. Toledo also has about the best smile a dog could have! You couldn't have a bad day, coming home to that! Toledo is currently living in a foster home with two other pups. If you have any pups, they need to meet Toledo at the shelter before heading home.Toledo is currently living in a foster home.
