Story
Otis was my mom’s dog. She passed away a year and a half ago. We took Otis into our home full time about 4 months ago. He is a special needs senior dog. He has arthritis and GI issues. My mom had always wanted a yorkie and our local humane society had a hoarding case of all yorkies. Most were unable to be adopted but my mom was able to adopt one of the few that were left. He has been through a lot even before making his way into my mom’s life. They were able to spend years together and he never left her side. After she passed he continued to live at her home with my siblings. Once they moved out we took him in. We already have cats and a dog in our home and I have been working to sort out my own personal health issues. Taking on another special needs senior animal is something we have found is unable to be done. We are looking for a loving home for Otis. The decision was not made lightly. He would do best in a single pet home with someone who he can be attached to.

Story
We adopted Lilly from a shelter in Henderson, KY. They did not have any room for her and she was not eating at the time due to stress. Her previous owners dropped her off after 7years. Theu said if the shelter didn't take her in, she would be put down. When we showed up, she ate for us ans was the sweetest dog. However, when we got home she did not get along w. Our other dogs. We have been trying for 2 years but it's not working. So we currently have to keep them separated, which is not fair to Lilly. She needs to find a home where she can be happy and roam around . She is amazing and so sweet around people. Just not with other dogs. Her previous owners did not own other dogs but she was raised around a few cats. She is very loyal, house trained and loving. She would be perfect for an experienced owner, someone with room for her to walk around. She is micro chipped. Does need her rabies shot for this year.

Story
He’s 4 years old, i found him walking on the road when he was a puppy. He’s the sweetest dog, loves to cuddle and play. Good with kids, great with other dogs. He’s completely potty trained, and kennel trained. Would make a good inside or outside dog with a fence or boundaries. I unfortunately do not have the time to keep him busy and would love for him to be somewhere he can be stimulated.

Story
This pretty girl is Selene was abandoned in our meet and greet with 2 puppies over 1 year ago. Her puppies were adopted quickly but Selene had to stay with us a while. She was heartworm positive and had to be treated before she could be adopted. Selene went through the heartworm treatment with no problems. Sadly, Selene is still waiting for her forever family. Selene would make a wonderful addition to the home of her choosing. She gets along with almost everyone but is dog selective at times. She would definitely have to meet all members of your current family before adoption to make sure it is a good fit. Selene does know some basic commands and is a very smart, playful girl. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application

Chad is a Heeler mix who came in with 8 siblings. They came to us when they were only 4 weeks old. They were an unwanted litter who were surrendered to us when their mama quit taking care of them.Chad's a sweet and gentle soul who's currently undergoing training at the Shawnee Correctional Center as part of our 3rd SWATT class. Chad is eager to learn and is making incredible progress in mastering manners and basic obedience. Chad graduates mid Jan and is hoping to go straight into a home where with a little love and patience, he'll blossom into the perfect furry companion.BONUS: Earlier this year, Chad attended a fun event at Big Muddy Brewing where Amber's Peace Love & Bows donated a gift certificate for 6 free baths and nail trims for Chad's adopter. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application
