I would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time and has experience with dogs to help me grow my confidence. I would love to have a job or activities to keep me busy. I would be the perfect companion for anyone who works from home or wants a loyal companion to accompany them on their adventures. Meet our new foster from St Charles County Animal Control. Jack. You do not find Staffordshire Bull Terriers very often in rescue. He is a two year old handsome fire plug of a guy that is house and crate trained. Knows basic commands and loves fetch. Staffies are high energy dogs that love walks, games, and cuddle time. Located in High Ridge MO This is Ziggy, he is a 2.5 year old male neutered Pitt. He’s approximately 50-60 lbs. Rabies, DHLPP and Bordatella are good until Nov. 2021 other than that I have no medical history. He was surrendered by his owner due to unhealthy living conditions for his pets. He is very good with people once he warms up. Does good for baths and nail trims. Doesn’t chew up beds or blankets etc. Good with other big dogs. Not good with small dogs. NO CATS - NO KIDS. We have a male lab golden mix and they were BFF’s after day 2. He loves to burrow under covers, walks well on a leash, doesn’t need expensive food, rides great in the car and has a great warning bark at strangers at the door. He doesn’t bark at the wind or anything excessive. We brought him home for three weeks. He did amazing. We love him and would have kept him but unfortunately something in him doesn’t do well with all kids. THIS ANIMAL IS BEING POSTED AS A COURTESY. Meet Bunni! She's shy with new people, but warms up if you offer her some tasty treats. She's food driven and eager to please. Bunni also loves to give you a serene smile once she knows you're a good person (the kind who gives yummy treats). She's smart and knows to sit and wait for food, and to go in her kennel at night. She's also house trained. She enjoys being outside and playing with toys. She loves to play with other dogs, and she sleeps quietly in her kennel throughout the night. She's great with kids and other dogs. Magoo is a lover not a fighter, but because of his lack of socialization and his messed up beginnings he is afraid of other dogs - so when confronted his 130lbs of fear step in and he gets defensive. He needs an owner with experience to guide and protect him from any possible bad decisions. Serious inquiries only!! Currently he is listed as a "forever lucky one" looking for a perfect person to help him be the best dog he can be!! Until he gets the training and commitment to become adoptable, he will remain a forever lucky one. What does that mean? Due to health and sometime behaviors all dogs in our Forever Lucky One program live in long-term foster homes. Lucky K9 covers all costs associated with their care. The forever foster family provides a loving home for the remainder of their days. Lucky K9 continues their medical care for the remainder of their lives. Sanctuary dogs typically have life long needs that prevent them from being adopted, but deserve the individual care provided by living in a home.
