Story
Chance is 3.5 yrs old, has the cutest squishy face and wants nothing more than to cuddle with you on the couch. He hands down wins the best and biggest smile. He has a facial expression for everything!! He has some of the funniest quirks we have ever seen. Give him a treat he doesn't like, and he will squeeze his mouth shut as tight as he can with the most hilarious look on his face. He LOVES to play! Tug, fetch, wrestling with his favorite people, if you have a good game, he will love you for life! With that said he is a victim of being taken away from his mother and siblings too young and as a result does not have very good social skills with other dogs. Chance does need to be the only pet in the home. He will need an experienced owner, someone dedicated to meeting his needs and continuing his training. He has been working with a professional trainer and has come a LONG way in both his confidence, manners, and his ability to be around other dogs. If you adopt Chance you will work closely with his trainer to make sure everyone is set up for success. For more photos and videos of Chance you can check out his FB page "Take a Chance on Chance" If you would like to make Chance a part of your family please complete our online adoption application at: https://www.homewardboundwaggininc.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Galileo! Galileo is the most classic 'good ole boy' you will ever meet. He is potty trained, walks well on leash, is quiet, loves his people, kennel trained, loves car rides, is happy spending all day on the couch even when left alone, and just has just enough puppy energy to give him that endearing personality everyone loves. While this boy may be 7 going on 70 that doesn't mean he won't keep you on your toes. Whether its casually passing you in the hallway with a counter he stole off the counter (without a hint of guilt, because why else would you have left it out if not for him?) or leaping over baby gates like a thoroughbred jumping horse, he loves to give you occasional reminders he will always be young at heart. That being said, once he has settled into a home, he happily spends majority of his day asleep on the couch or taking up space on the floor chewing his favorite Benebone. Outside of long walks this boy's favorite thing in the world is food! There isn't much he wouldn't do for a yummy treat (and don't worry he isn't very picky) and this old dog loves learning new tricks. He even has a fancy certificate from graduating a Basic Manners class! Unfortunately, due to Galileo's age he does have some vision issues and stress related OCD. However, neither of these things seem to affect him after a couple weeks in a new home once he knows the layout and routine. Knowing these things, we would recommend Galileo go to a quiet home with a pretty solid routine to help him feel confident and safe. I hope you have a big couch because this big couch potato will absolutely be claiming his own corner!

Story
Let's talk about BRUNO! Bruno is a very large, young, and energetic Lab/ Coonhound mix and will need an active home willing to keep up with his boisterous personality. He would be a fantastic running, hiking, or even biking partner. He is currently enrolled in our Basic Manners Shelter Dog class and will absolutely need to continue his training to be the best version of himself. While he is good with kids when out and about, because of his size and energy he would do best in a home with kids no younger than 8. Old enough to not be easily knocked down on accident. Bruno's special need is he does have food allergies. He has been on Taste of The Wild Salmon for several months now with very good success. If you are looking for an active adventure buddy, Bruno just might be the dog for you. If interested in adding Bruno to your family please complete our online adoption application at: https://www.homewardboundwaggininc.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Ellie! With a nickname like "cattle dork," you KNOW this girl is full of spunk! She is exactly what you would expect out of a ACD x Hound mix, full of life and goofiness! Ellie would love a home where can has a yard to run and play fetch in, goes on long walks (she is FANTASTIC on a leash!), and gets LOTS of cuddles (this girl seriously gives the best snuggles). She loves to work for food and learn new skills and while she isn't in our Shelter Dog class one of our volunteers does take her to a different class to get out of the shelter and learn some new skills. Hope you have a good throwing arm because this girl will put it to work!
